What’s on- Exhibition-Women & Weird Things

by Coby Bloemsma 16-30 March. Abstract and realistic Paintings, Jewellery and Objects in paper maché, drift wood and a huge screen (see photos) are an interesting mix showing next week at the Sala Municipal, in the centre of Nerja. It’s on Calle Cristo 14 (where the post office is). For Sale- Peugeot Expert Tepee. 6 seater. 2.0 diesel.
I’ve had this Peugeot a few years. and had a lot of work done over the last couple of years. The tyres are in excellent condition, and there top quality Michelin all round. The front lower wishbones have been replaced, as have the drop links, front brake discs and pads.It also has a new battery. It’s done around 360,000km, however,I had a problem with the Engine about 20,000km ago, and found a low mileage replacement, so the engine has only done around 76,000km total. I also had the diesel pump overhauled and new injectors fitted, as well as a new cambelt etc. The interior is partly boarded out already, up to where the back seats fit. (see photo) Rear parking assists works nicely.

The car is in Nerja, and will have a new ITV on sale.

Friday 23rd March at Casa Montes Negros, organic farm near Trapiche.
Using local and seasonal ingredients we will be exploring a variety of Spanish tapas dishes from all over Spain.
A fun day out for both experienced cooks and novices. Be prepared to get involved in the preparing of a delicious menu.

Black Handbag Lost – It is Urgent to Recover it Help!
Could you please help with a neighbour of mine who has lost her black handbag from the top of her car as she travelled from Fogerate, Canillas de Albaida to Torre del Mar.
She was on her way to pay some bills and had a large amount of euros in her bag together with her passport and various papers in her name. Her name is Inga Hilderbrandt. Does anyone know consumer rights in Spain re- returned goods.
I bought a Samsung galaxy tablet from Worten they have a 15day return policy after 5 days I found a problem with the tablet and they would not accept the Return as I did not have the packaging.
There was no indication this would be required on purchase and the staff were not helpful- in fact they were rude.
Does the store have to accept my tablet for exchange or otherwise?

Warning for people in Competa Area – Vicious Dog pic Dog owners please be aware. This afternoon in Plaza Almijara in Cómpeta an unaccompanied German Shepherd type dog, wearing a black collar, attacked one of my dogs whilst we were sitting outside at one of the cafes. The attack was unprovoked; my dog was sitting quietly beside me and was on a lead. She has sustained injuries to her neck which need veterinary treatment. Her situation could have been much worse if it had not been for the quick reactions of those around me in getting the dog to let go of her so please be vigilant if you see this dog……..also – The dog had already tried to attack two other dogs in the Plaza shortly before

During the recent heavy rainstorms our Rover 75 experienced a deluge

Regarding the item headed ” Thoughtless driver kills dog ”

Now most people in Spain know about the dog culture here but to put the blame on drivers is wrong . If dog owners really cared for there pets they would not be allowed to roam free but should be in fenced areas or on a lead . Dogs wandering loose can be a real danger for anyone because of a risk of being bitten . We have considerate dog walkers in our area where we have seen loose dogs attack smaller dogs on leads and even pick fights with big dogs on leads which is terrifying for owners who could end up being mauled themselves . I agree some drivers travel faster than they should but the control of speed is the business of the Guardia . I am a motorcyclist as well as a car driver and even when travelling at moderate speeds on a bike it is scary when a dog or dogs come straight out onto the road whether that is around town or in the campo . I hate to think of any animal being injured or killed so where does the blame for these situations really rest . What if your dog causes a driver to swerve and kill a child or a dog bring off a motorcyclist that is killed . Think ! Responsible dog owners have my respect .
