Public Health Care Tragedy, Why Second Opinions Are Necessary: Spanish Health Service slammed for cancer death. Administrative Court No. 7 of Malaga has awarded a family €51,000 after a 38 year old woman was repeatedly misdiagnosed by medical staff which would eventually lead to her death from cancer. After 2 years, finally fed up of the lack of proper diagnosis she went to a private clinic where she immediately was given an x-ray and MRI scan which revealed a large cancerous mass on her spine!
During the trial it was stated that the patient underwent seven consultations until the correct diagnosis was made, “There was an unjustified delay in the diagnosis of the disease. The action of the public health contrasts with that of a primary care doctor to whom the patient went privately.”

The Padel de Alcaucin court in Almuñécar closing: The Alcaucín Town Council has reported through social media that the changing rooms have suffered “unjustified and cowardly acts of vandalism”. Because of this the department of sports in the town has taken the decision to close the facility as with the constant costs of upkeep out weighs the income made from it.
