Featuring. Financial and consumer advice; golf, dance and art tuition; fashions shows; yoga; acapella singing; glucose and hearing testing.
Admission. Free.
As in previous years Eric Knowles from The Antiques Roadshow will be giving free valuations.
Fashion fans will be able to enjoy shows by Sara Haley’s Mapuchi Moda range, while newcomer Adrian Davies will entertain foodies with two cooking demonstrations each day, as well as mixing cocktails to suit the dishes.
Visitors keen to learn something new will be able to pick up tips from golf pros, take a dance class with Colin Gausden and his jive team or attend a workshop hosted by well-known Irish artist Roger Cummiskey.
The Andalusian International Artists art group will be showing their new works; and the musical entertainment will be provided twice a day by the acapella singing group Reflections, who will be featuring classics such as California Dreaming, Country Roads and Sentimental Journey.
Health will be taken care of at the show by the La Cala Lions Diabetic Support Group and Sontec, who will be giving free glucose and hearing tests respectively. Free legal, financial and consumer advice will also be available.
Finally space has been set aside for fitness and relaxation with a programme of free pilates and yoga sessions with Anandala Laie Studios.

-Thursday November 28th – Excursion to Mijas Pueblo and Viveros Guzman. Firstly to visit Mijas, in the mountainside at 400 metres above sea level, about 10km from the coast above Fuengirola. Wander through the cobbled streets and gardens along the cliff, where you will see a panoramic view down and along the coast. You may purchase something at the many artisan shops and there will also be time for refreshments and lunch. At 15.30 you will join the coach for a short journey to visit the very large garden centre of Guzman, in Alhaurin del Torre. You will be able to purchase plants, shrubs and other items for your garden, interior decorations and gifts from the shop, and you will be able to admire the beautiful Christmas display, maybe purchasing your Christmas decorations. There is also a restaurant for refreshments. After the visit you will rejoin the coach at 17.30 for the homeward journey. Ticket price available at the Centre 16 Euros with Friends of Lux Mundi card 15 Euros. Departure times Viñuela (Football pitch) 08.45, Algarrobo (Lidl) 09.10, Caleta (Vets) 0915, Torre del Mar (Bus Station) 09.25.
-Friday November 29th – Christmas Artisan Market. There will be lots to see and purchase small gifts, preserves, books, local arts and crafts and much more. International homemade food, refreshments and cakes to sit and enjoy in the beautiful garden. Time 11.00 to 1.00.
Christmas Fayre at St George’s Anglican Church Malaga City at Avda de Pries 1 (in the grounds of the English Cemetery) on Sunday, December 1, with doors open at 12.30pm. You can expect to see a whole selection of Christmas Gifts, baked goods, second-hand books and clothing as well as a tombola and admission is free.
Crossing of Costa Tropical Mountain in Almuñécar: This Sunday (November 24), Almuñécar, Spain will host the Popular Crossing of Costa Tropical Mountain. Now in its tenth edition, the event seeks to promote hiking in the coastal area, highlighting the region’s wealth of cultural attractions and landscapes.
Organised by the El Sendero Club, the route will cover 16.6km with a medium level of difficulty.
The registration fee is between €16 and €20 and includes a walker’s bag with a T-shirt, certificate and food vouchers inside. El Sendero Club will also provide breakfast, lunch and refreshments, with participation limited to 150 people.

Wood Fired Oven Class: One day open air cookery course in the mountains of the Alpujarras, Granada.
Come and enjoy a full day cookery course learning how to use and enjoy a wood fired oven. We will prepare a variety of tasty dishes during the day, from making your own bread to cooking a main course and baking a dessert. We will demonstrate different cooking techniques and then you will get to try them yourself. There will also be an opportunity to learn about building, lighting and running your own wood fired oven. This is a very ‘hands on’ course’. You will also have a tour of our extensive garden here and select herbs to flavour your bread which you will later bake and take home with you. At the end of the day we sit down together and enjoy the flavours we have created.
Dates that we have for 2020 are: May 9th, June 13th, September 26th and October 17th, maximum group size – 8 people. Alternatively, if you have your own group of 4 or more we can find mutually convenient dates for your course. Ideal for a weekend away and a great gift for someone.
