How to post more photos than the rules allow – use collages. You can combine several of your photos into a single collage photo by using this free (you need to provide email) online collage creation tool. It’s very easy to use, give it a try! https://www.fotor.com/create/collage/

Correcting flawed submissions: If you send an incorrect submission, or you forget to include the photos, please send in a new, full corrected submission and ask me to ignore the previous, incorrect submission. I am too busy to keep track of partial submissions in different emails and patch them together. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Recommendations

Recommendation for cleaning lady: We have been living in Competa for over five years, and it took us quite a while to find the right people to help maintain our home. Thanks to Digamextra, we’ve found both a great builder and cleaning ladies. We’ve already expounded the merits of SPW and would now like to help Marina. She is a single mother (two lovely young girls) of 36 years of age, and comes with her own mother to clean our house (170 sq metres, from top to bottom, inside and out), from 10 AM to 12:30 PM every Friday. That’s 5 hours total, and after nearly two and a half years, the job remains fantastic. They are hard-working women and 100% honest. Given some of the people we’ve encountered here, that’s a rare commodity indeed.
She and her mother clean seven homes on a weekly basis, but one of her customers, a German lady, is returning home to help out her daughter who is expecting. She would obviously like to replace that home with someone new. They both take 8 euros an hour and it is worth every penny and more. They live in Competa, but can travel as two of their customers live in Sayalonga.
Marina speaks English well enough to communicate, but I have volunteered to serve as a go-between for a first contact if you don’t speak Spanish too well. Please contact me at: 634361736 or email: puchkauzon1@gmail.com. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Paul in Competa

EU or non-EU? Which passport queue should Brits use after Brexit?:
At midnight on January 31st, the UK entered the so-called “transition period”, during which negotiations on post-Brexit deals are set to take place.
That period lasts until December 31st 2020, unless it is extended on agreement by both Brussels and London.
But until then, British citizens still benefit from freedom of movement within the EU.
So while Brits may no longer be EU citizens they are still treated as such when it comes to travelling in and out of the EU.
That means joining the queue for EU citizens at airports, ports and railway stations. More info at: https://www.thelocal.es/20200203/which-passport-queues-should-brits-use-now-that-brexit-has-happened

Apple fined for slowing down old iPhones (BBC): Apple has been fined 25 million euros (£21m, $27m) for deliberately slowing down older iPhone models without making it clear to consumers.
The French court said iPhone owners “were not informed that installing iOS updates (10.2.1 and 11.2) could slow down their devices”. It says Apple “committed the crime of deceptive commercial practice by omission” and had agreed to pay the fine.
Does Apple still slow down older iPhones?
Yes. Since Apple confirmed the practice in 2017, it has implemented it on several more iPhones including:
iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus
iPhone SE
iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
iPhone 8 and 8 Plus running iOS 12.1 or higher
iPhone X running iOS 12.1 or higher
iPhone XS, XS Max and XR running iOS 13.1 or higher
