Come and join us for a game of bowls on our green at a beautiful location in the hills above Velez-Malaga.
Similar to flat green bowling, but with some unique slopes and breaks to master, you will find a two hour session both mentally challenging and a good refreshing workout.
We dress casually, and all you need is a pair of light flat shoes.
We can provide the bowls needed, and give tuition on the rules of the game and the bowling techniques required.
Our regular players are both male and female, and we believe in an informal and friendly atmosphere. As an added bonus tea and cakes are provided after the game is finished, adding to the social side of the day.
We play regularly on Mondays and Thursdays. We can make arrangements to play any other day of the week if required.

Fuengirola’s Perrock festival returns: On February 23, the IX edition of Perrock, a rock festival that donates all its collection to different animal shelters of the town and its surrounding areas, will be held in the Fuengirola Feria ground. José Manuel Martín, Councillor for Youth, has announced this year’s event. “This festival of music will be held from 11am to 11pm. During this time, a dozen artists will perform on stage, including Paco Ventura, guitarist of the famous band Medina Azahara and his son, Gato Ventura, as headliners this year,” explained Martin. In addition to these singers, the bands that have already confirmed attendance at the event are The Coovers, Crummy, Tribute Rock Band, 5 d’Copas, Rewind Band and Moon Rockets. “There will also be stands for animal shelters, vegetarian food stalls and even a performance by the canine patrol,” said Martin, who has encouraged pet lovers to attend the event, even accompanied by their faithful friends.

Dog Care: Our regular dog sitter is unable to help us as she is already fully booked! I need someone to care for our fur baby for five nights next month (19 to 23 March inclusive). A traditional kennel business is not suitable: I am seeking someone who only takes in one or two dogs at a time, possibly has dog(s) of their own, and would treat mine as one of the family.

Vehicle annual and Urbano taxes: It may just be my naivety but I have recently suffered twice from the same lack of knowledge and I thought readers might learn from my mistake.
Last year we sold our house and separately our car and assumed that the dues to the Town hall would be time apportioned between buyer and seller.
We now find out that if you are registered as the owner on 1stJan you are liable for the whole year and can only change that responsibility for the following year.
Obviously armed with this knowledge you can negotiate this with the buyer before sale but it is too late afterwards.
