Traffic Fines

I had registered with tienesmultas.com to be notified in case I am fined.  I got an email out of the blue showing five fines, but on closer inspection, there were  only 3 fines, with repeated entries.  The site wants your (or my) business and suggest you contact them to sort out the fines.  I, however, went to the official Trafico site and using the reference numbers from the fines issued on tienesmulta to check them out and found that it was not a scam, and that I was issued with the fines.  I am currently in UK and do not know what the fine are for, but decided to pay them online through the official site,  www.dgt.es , rather than wait to check them out and possibly contest them, since the fines would probably just increase with time.
Different sites have been quoted in Digame, and I assume they all access the same official records, and are legit.  This does not necessarily mean that the fines themselves are correct, but in that case you need to sort that out with Trafico (many motor insurance policies cover that).    B.A.

 

 

Airports

I noticed an e mail from Wendy regarding Stansted airport. She then went on to talk about Bristol and Exeter.
If Essex is her preferred destination she could do a lot worse than try the Easy Jet service to Southend.  Car hire is in the terminal building, with the cars being parked within 100m form the car hire desk.
The trains directly into Liverpool Street (45mins) are within the same distance. I have met people who live nearer to Stansted but choose Southend as they can be out of the airport and home in the time it takes to get through immigration at Stansted.
When it comes to airports big is not beautiful !!

Recommendation – Fuengirola Parking                                                              for people going to Specsavers. There are several decent car parks in Fuengirola within a short walk from Specsavers. We always go to the one in the main square – Plaza de la Constitucion -. it is clean and well lit with a parking attendant.
It is worth the cost of parking to not worry about over staying in a limited parking street.

For the past 6 or 7 years we have used a guy called Salvador to service our boiler. He actually installed a new boiler for us, which was much more efficient than the original one installed by the builder. He lives in Frigiliana; he’s reliable, efficient and very thorough. We have a contract with him to service our boiler once a year. We only speak a very little Spanish and he speaks some English, so we manage to understand each other. We would have no hesitation in recommending him.
