Beau is 4 years old and is a very nice and playful dog. Due to health issues of his current owners, he can no longer stay with them. He’s been chipped, has a pasport and had all of his vaccinations. Lovely, Small,Female Dog found in Competa …..
Lady in Competa seeks help as she has taken in a lovely small, sterilised, female dog, “Laica” who she found shivering on a cold night at the top of Competa Pueblo. She already has 8 dogs and a number of cats so she cannot keep her much longer.
Do you recognise her? Could you foster her? or offer her a permanent home? She is small, black and tan, approximately 2 years old, very affectionate and sociable and gets on well with people and other dogs – but not so keen on cats. She is sterilised, parasite free and would make a wonderful companion – she doesn’t need a lot of space. Ski-ing Buddy Sought

Recommendation – Buddha House Restaurant in Torrox Costa I second Dawn’s recommendation for the recently taken over Buddha House Restaurant in Penoncillo.
I have eaten there three times in the past month bringing friends each time. The various dishes that we have sampled have been truly delicious and authentic for a change. The highlight is the different breads from the Tandoor oven, I love their garlic and keema naan bread. I have tried many Indian restaurants in the vicinity and have not had better Indian food along the coast.
Am looking forward to trying out their new menu once ready!

Their shop is close to Supersol in Torre del Mar.
They project managed the complete renovation of our kitchen, including liaising with other companies who were changing the windows and moving the gas boiler.

Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar, February Coming Events & Excursions
Tuesday 9th & 12th February – Photography Club. . From “Good Shot” to “Great Shot”, why not come and learn the art of photography with Rob Bell Photography. A fun and informal class to help you to get more from your camera/photos. Open to all, from beginners to the more experienced photographer, regardless of the type of camera you use. There will be something for everyone!! Don´t forget to bring your camera. Time at the Centre 16:00h. Ticket price 4€ per lesson available at the Centre. Proceeds for Fund raising.
Wednesday 10th February – Ash Wednesday Church Service. Please come and join friends for the Ecumenical Church Service at the Centre. Time 13.00h.
Friday 12th February – St Valentine Coffee Morning and Pancakes. All are welcome to join friends of Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar, for coffee and cakes, the usual boutique, bric-a-brac and second hand books. There will also be pancakes with the usual honey or sugar and lemon and a surprise filling. Ticket price 3 Euros available at the Centre, which includes 1 drink and 3 pancakes. Tuesday 16th February – Quiz Night. Please come and enjoy our Quiz Night at the Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar, Centre. Team up with friends and pit your wits in this fun quiz. Thursday 18th February- Coach Excursion to Gibraltar. Why not join Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar and visit Gibraltar, a chance to take a cable car to the top of the Rock, see the unique Barbary Apes. Visit the upper Rock Nature Reserve, where you will find the Historic Tunnels dating from 1779-1783 and St. Michael´s Cave. Both of these have guided tours. In the town can be seen the Gibraltar Museum, Government House and in the southern area are key historical sites. All information may be obtained from the tourist office, or an excellent alternative way of seeing the sights is by hiring a taxi, whose drivers are very knowledgeable and will explain the interesting, historical life of the Rock. It is also an opportunity to purchase duty free Items and typical English items of food, etc. from the Morrisons super market. Ticket price 12 Euros available at the Centre. Proceeds for fund raising. Departure times Puente don Manuel (Hotel Romero) 6.45am,Algarrobo (Lidl) 7.15am, Caleta 7.20am and Torre Del Mar (Bus Station) 7.30am. Depart Gibraltar 15.00h.
