DoctorLaptop – Windows Update Probs and Solution
We all know it is important to keep your computer updated. Many Windows(Win) users set Win Updater to run automatically and have no problems. Good for them. If you are not one of these lucky users there is a solution. Are you unable to do Win Updates on Win XP/Vista/7/8? Or does it take all day if you can even get Win Update to work? This is not unusual, especially if you have a less than optimal internet connection. I now have a tool that allows me to bypass the waiting line and connect your computer to the Microsoft Updater server immediately to do your Win Updates, downloading and installing them without any delays! (“Optional Updates” not included.) This is especially handy if you are forced to re-install your older version of Win and have years of updates to catch up on. In this case it can take many hours just for Win Updates to generate the list of updates available, then another longer period to download and install them. The price is just 10 to 20 euros, depending on how far behind your computer is. For another fiver I can install a Win 10 upgrade blocker, preventing the upgrade and stealth downloading of Win 10 install files without your permission and blocking the annoying upgrade nag popups and taskbar icon. Recommendation Kindling
I have found that BBQ charcoal works brilliantly for starting a fire and works out very cheap. Hope this solves the problem of lighting your fire.

I too have found it hard to acquire any good kindling
I now use fire lighters from Mecadona stores 0.80€ a box
I find one strip is more than enough to get the largest of olive wood to light in our wood burner
One box will light 8 times
Cheaper than kindling

We always used to look out for old palletts and then chop those up for kindling, but it was quite a lot of work. We now save all cuttings from the garden (vines, trees, bougainvillea etc …. not oleander which is poisonous to burn) and leave them for the year to season and burn them the next. At one time a neighbour used to save us all his fruit and olive tree cuttings, so it may be worth asking around as they are only burned otherwise. Barbara
