Calling Americans in Torrox-Nerja
Hi I“m Buzz Gillis and I’m from Boston,Ma. I’m living in Torrox Costa until March 31st and would like to get together with my Ex-Pats vacationing/living here “Americano” neighbors. I’m sure there’s a few of us here!
I met some “nice” New Yorkers among others just the other day at the Nerja Tennis Club so I know there’s a few of us over here this winter.
I’m thinking of getting together some morning this week for coffee and breakfast in Torrox or nearby Nerja. If you are currently living in this vicinity would you please email me and come join my wife Clare and me for a coffee and a discussion about anything related to the USA (except religion and politics) and Spain or just to “shoot the breeze”.
It could be fun as well as a learning opportunity to share some of our Spain experiences together and learn from each other.

Wonderful new restaurant recommendation – Que Tal in Sayalonga.
We have eaten at Que Tal numerous times now.
Every meal has been exquisite. Beautifully presented but also just as tasty. It made me want to take photos.

What’s On La Tasca Torre del Mar.
We are now offering pancakes, American style or the normal UK pancakes. Either for breakfast or dessert. We can offer a veggie breakfast with quorn sausages. What’s on Camino
We have been told by our local tourist office and town hall that the Camino is closing for the whole of March and hopefully re opened for April to be run by a private company, although no one knows who it will be !!!! There is supposed to a charge of 10€ but all this is speculation
Tomorrow we are going to see the town hall of Ardales who at the moment is responsible for the running of the Camino and hopefully we will find out for definite what is going on.

Photography Club. . From “Good Shot” to “Great Shot”, why not come and learn the art of photography with Rob Bell Photography. A fun and informal class to help you to get more from your camera/photos. Open to all, from beginners to the more experienced photographer, regardless of the type of camera you use. Please come and enjoy with friends a coffee morning, where you will be able to purchase a variety of your favourite tapas, wine, and listen to the music. Time 10.30 to 12.30.
Tuesday 15th through Friday 18th March – Excursion to Madrid. Please come and join friends on a 4 day excursion via train to Madrid. You will travel to Madrid via AVE, the fast train and on arrival you will check in to the 3 star Hotel Regente, on a bed and breakfast basis. It is close to the Gran Via, tourist bus route and underground station. The rest of the day is free.
Second and third days after breakfast in the hotel you will be given tickets to use on the tourist bus where there is a comentary in your language and a chance to see and visit the city, the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum, Temple of Debod, Plaza Mayor, Gran Via, Retiro Park and much more getting on and off as many times as you wish on the route.
On the fourth day after breakfast there is once again free time, may be to do some last minute shopping and after lunch you will transfer to train station to board the 17.00h train from Madrid to Malaga arriving at 18.30h where you will join the coach to transfer to Fuengirola. Departure Time Bull Ring 6.15h, Feria Ground 6.30h. Price per person 385 Euros double room, 385 Euros single room, deposit 100 Euros balance due end of February. This includesinsurance, train ticket “AVE”, transfers, tourist bus tickets for 2 days. All profits for fund raising.

Recommendation – Massage
I have had a wonderful massage with Linda Bogaert in Torrox Costa last week. Linda did a great job! I felt deeply relaxed afterwards and could feel the positive effect during days.
