Broken Ipad screen – Possible Outcome & Thanks
Thank you to everyone who gave me advice and suggested local companies .
No one suggested Marbella Apple Store and my attempts to contact them were not successful .
Local shops with Spanish technicians quoted 80-100 euros for my iPad and various people recommended different shops in Nerja
The English technician quoted 125 euros
All seem to want the machine for days as they apparently strip it down , find the exact screen required, then order it , and later fit it ….Monday seems a good day to take it in and you might get it back by the week end .! ..
I am testing this next week !

The Phoenix Club are off to visit IKEA and/or Plaza Mayor on the morning of the 18th March and in the afternoon to Viveros Guzman in Alhaurin de la Torre. Time to get all your spring bedding and named roses in now that the winds have died down. Plenty to see at Guzmans, they have a huge selection of plants, shrubs and trees and are on hand for advice. Lunch is also very reasonable at the cafe or perhaps a snack?
The price? €12pp includes a €1 gratuity for the driver.
Depart Algarrobo Lidl at 09.30 with a pick up at Torre del Mar bus station, returning from Alhaurin at 5 pm

Dear Friends,
We want to remind you our next concert on Saturday 20th in Ventana Abierta, this time with a Duo who is having a resounding success in the Malaga area. They have recently been part of the Malaga Jazz Festival 2015, and have performed in neighboring Velez-Malaga.
The Marie LeBone Duo offers a voyage through musical themes arising from the merging of two of the 20th century’s great cultural achievements: Jazz and Cinema. It is not surpriing, indeed, that the first film to include sound, circa 1927, was The Jazz Singer. Since then, this relationship has resulted in a wealth of unforgettable works, enthralling audiences throughout the years. This concert will delight music and cinema lovers alike.
Themes will include, among others: Somewhere Over the Rainbow from the 1939 musical The Wizard of Oz; Someday My Prince Will Come, for the Walt Disney 1937 film Snow White; Nature Boy (1947), which is part of the soundtrack of the 2001 film Moulin Rouge; WIld Heart (1993); The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999); Miss Celie’s Blues from The Color Purple (1985); Manha de Carnaval(1959) of the Brazilian film Black Orpheus.
The concert will also include a special homage to the best jazz voices and musicians of all time, including themes by Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Joe Pass and Irving Berlin.

Opposite the new roundabout here there are two white single storey buildings and we rehearse in La Casa Cultura at 5.30 to 8.00. 10 mins. Drive max. from El Ingenio shopping mall.
Approaching from Puente Don Manuel, take A7205 which bypasses Viñuela village and right at the end of the village, right opposite the new roundabout, you’ll see two white single storey buildings on the right and just past the roundabout is an earth parking area next to a chain link fence. Park here. Ring and let us know if you are coming and we will bring some spare music.
