Kayla to be Rehomed- Sadly
It’s with deep sadness that I have to find a new home for my 6 yr old German Shepherd Kayla as my husband has had to go back to the UK for work and I will be going back and forwards.
Plus I have arthritis in my knees and hip and struggle walking with her.
She is very loving she is good with people, children, other dogs and cats
She is chipped, has a passport and is up to date with her vaccinations

Anne Puzicha, late of Casa Moda Natural, Nerja
Do you remember Annegret (Anne) Puzicha who for several years ran Casa Moda Natural on Calle el Chaparil, Nerja?
Sad to report that she died in hospital on 9th December in her native Germany having returned there a few years ago.
Since the death of her husband Gerhard five years ago, she had been housebound and news of her death has only this week been revealed.
Friends Herbert and Joy Chatters are inviting anyone who knew Anne, as a friend or customer, to join them to remember her over a drink at lunchtime on Sunday, 13th March in Nerja.
Anne will be remembered as a generous friend to many, raising funds through her fashion shows for the Sisters of the Good Samaritan and the churches at Maro and Frigiliana as well as collecting Christmas presents for deprived children.

Makro & No Complaints Book ?
Can anyone advise me why Makro is exempt from having “Libro de reclamación”
I had a complaint about misleading goods and they informed me that they do not have complaints books only suggesting forms as they are a exempt.
I understood it was the law for any autonomo business to have these books.

Services – Amended Answer to FedEx Question
I don’t believe FedEx has a convenient office, but several times I have sent important documentation to the US and Canada via MRW, which has been around for years and has an office conveniently located near the old sugar factory chimney in Torre. They also have a “Bureaufax” service for legal documents, but I’ve never used it. Hope this helps.

I need to renew my UK passport and remember seeing an article on Digamextra which stated that the photo shop next to the police building in Torre del Mar does not produce the correct photos, e.g. with light grey or cream backgrounds.

I am very sorry to read that you bought your house undervalued according to the Agencia Tributaria.
Who was your legal advisor during the property purchase?
Generally spoken, the Agencia Tributaria calculates the tax value of a property based on the ¨catastral¨ value multiplied by a coefficient that is different depending on the village or town you buy.
Example:
1. You buy a house in Cómpeta priced 100,000 Euros
2. The catastral value of the house is 95,000 Euros
3. The coefficient for Cómpeta is 1.3
4. According to the Agencia Tributaria the value of the house would be 123,500 Euros
5. You will get a bill to pay a percentage over 23,500 Euros.
I tell you this based on 10 years of experience as a real estate agent, but of course I am not a legal advisor myself. I recommend everybody to get legal advice from a Spanish registered lawyer on buying property in Spain. Based on knowledge and character I recommend:

I’m sorry JH, but sadly this is nothing new. We bought our house in 2003 and a couple of years later received a similar demand for the same reason. We were given 8 days to pay, or risk having our bank account frozen and house embargoed!
Obviously seek professional advise before deciding what course of action to take. But whatever you do, do not ignore this demand.

What’s on – Casa Magel B&B Re: Town hall in Ardales
Just to let people know that from the 16th March they are not taking any more bookings for the Camino walk, as it is fully booked for the Easter Holidays.
It will close at the end of March for 2 weeks and open again in the middle of April, when there will be a charge for it.
No one seems to know who is taking it over or what the charge will be.
They have assured us it will open again in April.
