Neutering Cat- Response

Hi Diane,

I do admire you adopting a cat and being so responsible for its wellbeing. We have “inherited”  2½ cats in a similar manner.

Local veterinarians will give you a good discount if you state that it is a wild or abandoned cat, and you are thinking of taking care of it. Our veterinarian in Nerja reduced the price from 80 € to a more affordable 50€. We used Clinica Veterinaria San Fernando (Calle de Antonio, Millón, Nerja. Tel: 952521838).

I am sure that may other veterinarians will give you such discount if you explain the situation. Veterinarians are well aware of the wild/stray cat problems and most will help anyone willing to fork out money to have them neutered and prevent future generations of stray cats.

Warren collected my 1985 Mercedes Benz 280SL, returned it transformed, didn’t recognise the car and can provide before & after photographs to anyone interested.

In my case I asked for everything to be done, chrome removed, interior, Connolly Leather treated, the full nine yards! Not cheap, but amazing value for money for what he has achieved.   John

On the promenade of Torrox Costa, close to the lighthouse, a new restaurant have opened “de Oranjerie” .

They serve a delicious sate with great peanut sauce and real Dutch croquettes. Great service!

All dogs, large or small, good or badly behaved welcome.
Also, if you are experiencing particular difficulties with your dog,

we can offer One to One Private sessions, to help owners deal with

more specific problems such as :
Aggression – towards other dogs, people & other animals.
Possessiveness – over food, toys & bed etc.
Greeting – barking or jumping up at you, visitors or people you meet on the street.
Excessive barking – this could be due to territorial, guarding behaviour, boredom, frustration or separation anxiety, or a combination of any of these.
Stress / Insecurity – following you or another family member constantly, destructive behaviour when left, barking or howling when left, constant licking or chewing of their own feet or legs, whining, shaking or hiding.
Toileting in the house (excluding young puppies) – scent-marking, urinating or defecating in the house. These are normally signs of stress, anxiety or dominance.
Fear – examples include: walking near traffic, loud noises (thunder / fireworks etc.), strangers, travelling in cars.
Obsessions – examples include: tail chasing, balls or toys, stones or sticks, vacuum cleaners,  brooms, mops, household sprays etc.
Recall issues – chasing cars, cats, cyclists etc, rushing up to other dogs (either to play or fight), stubborn refusal to recall from playing, scenting, hunting or any other distraction.
The Dog Academy assists dog owners in all of these problematic areas.

I’m looking for a small (or medium) car. Up to about 4-5 years old with low mileage please.

Any colour or make but prefer something that’s got a bit of ground clearance (though anything considered).

Would prefer petrol but would also look at diesel.

There was a white Corsa advertised just over a week ago, which would have been fine, but I missed out on that (was too polite; waited until later in the morning to ring so I didn’t wake anyone up  and someone had already bagged it!).
