Recommendation – Silks
6 of us went to ‘Silks’ for Sunday lunch today (28th Feb). The food was some of the best we’ve had in quite a long time. A choice of 3 meats, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds, plenty of fresh and tasty veggies. The service was excellent and the price very competitive.
Go along and give it a try. You’ll find them along Torrox Costa prom – with the sea at your back, take the left hand turn next to the Chinese clothing shop
Recommendation – Passport Photos

I can recommend the photo shop Calahonda in Torre del Mar, on the main coast road next to the Supersol supermarket, at the Caleta end of Torre.
I took the printed specifications for the photos that came with my passport renewal form, but they already had their own copy…..

I renewed mine last year and had the photos done at FotoSistema , Camino de Málaga 44, Vélez. I told them it was for a British passport and asked them to trim the photos to the required measurements so it would fit into the little box on the application form. The size of the finished photos was the only difference. Linda

My husband and I have just had our passports returned after renewing them.
We had our photos taken at the shop next to the Police station and although
the background was white and I had a smile on my face they were accepted.

They are now offering a choice of 60 different Tapas of which several are Canarian in origin.
All are priced at 1€ each – hot tapas are cooked to order (so you may wait a while) and many come with a few Chips.

What’s On – Nerja Players
The Nerja Player are pleased to announce that their next Dramatised Reading will be held on Tuesday 1st March at 6.30 for 7pm, This will be the play, “Equally Divided” by Ronald Harwood (he of “The Dresser and “Quartet” fame) and it deals with the aftermath of a family death and an estate to be equally divided between two warring sisters. Will it all end in tears, one asks! Directed by Joan Tarver.
This performance is open for the enjoyment of the general public and will take place at the Nerja Bridge Club (the blue doors set back next to the Cafe Royal at the top of Avda Castilla Perez in Nerja.
