Volunteers wanted in the Cudeca Shops

Do you have four hours, once a week to volunteer in either of the Cudeca Shops in Nerja or Torre del Mar?

The  Nerja shop opens six days from 10am until 1.30pm.

The shop at Torre del Mar also opens in the afternoons from 17.30 until 19.30 Monday till Friday.

During the Winter we have plenty of volunteers but come the Summer many of our helpers have family out on holiday or go

away themselves.

If you can only commit to a month that would be a big help. The income from the Cudeca shops  support the Hospice at Benalmadena and the Hospice home care teams who attend people in their own homes. Please help put life into days for seriously ill

patients.

Recent Trip to Barcelona

Back now from our break in Barcelona and for those who asked, here are

the details (eventually) of who we booked the

airport transfer from Barcelona with, as promised.

It was booked in advance on line with Barcelona airport taxis  – barcelonaairporttaxis.com

Although the flight was delayed, it was reassuring to have the driver there

still waiting for us in such a busy place.

I have to say that I was more than totally satisfied.

Recommendation – House/pet Sitter

We would like to recommend Rebekah Allen-Smith for house /pet sitting.

It was obvious straight away how much she loved animals.

Our dog was walked regularly and even taken out further afield by car

and I know he got lots of cuddles,

She kept in touch while we were away for 3 weeks, and left the house

clean and tidy

A very reliable and delightful girl.

Recommendation –Where to buy a TV

(1)  The best place to buy televisions in my experience is Carrefour, there is one at Centro Commercial Total, near Rincon de La Victoria.

They have a good selection of models and the prices are usually lower than elsewhere.  There is a website where you can check all the prices.

We saved over 100 euros on our Samsung Smart TV

(2) I wouldn’t bother having a TV sent over from the UK. If it goes wrong then it would be difficult to send it back (as our German neighbours and found with their new German-bought TV that went wrong almost immediately they came here). They are not that expensive here and we have not had any problems buying or returning electrical goods from either Worten or Carrefour.                  Barbara

We are pleased to announce the opening of the summer terrace this coming weekend.
