Handsome Dog Needs a Home
We found this beautiful dog wandering on the road to Zafarraya last week, filthy and starving. Some local farmers say he had been around there for around two weeks. The vet says he is about 7 months old and has no microchip. We have wormed and Frontlined him and cleaned him up, under that beautiful, soft coat he is very skinny but we are feeding him up. He is delightfully playful and gentle, very loving and fine with our other dogs.
We would love to keep him but with three other rescue dogs already and only being here six months we just can’t, if anyone knows him or thinks they can offer him a loving forever home please contact us on anniedotbraviner@gmaildotcom

New Home for Negro Possible
The blog post of June 3rd had a photo of another dog looking for a good home – a chocolate podenco that was abandoned.
To correct the story – Negro is a skinny, very sweet-natured male dog who’s chained most of the time. He belongs to a neighbor who just gave us permission to find him a good home.
Negro is under 2 years old and doesn’t appear sick, but we would have him tested and help with initial vaccinations, etc., if someone comes forward to adopt him.

Recommendation Needed –Cleaner
Can anyone recommend someone to regularly clean an apartment in Torrox Costa.
It’s along the coast road, (El Penocnillo area) so transportation will be needed.

What’s On- Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar
On Friday 10th of June, Special coffee morning for Akshy Charity. Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar will hold a special coffee morning; all are welcome, so please come and join friends. All the proceeds will be donated to the Indian charity “Akshy”. This is a non-profit making Non Government Organization whose principal aim is to improve the living conditions and education of the poorest children the “untouchables” (or dalits). The Kamal Children´s Centre located in the village of Jaitiya is where the charitable work takes place and the children study pre-nursery education. Your donation this year will enable the Centre to buy more school uniforms. Lux Mundi look forward to seeing you enjoying your cakes and drinks, possibly in the beautiful garden and you will be able to purchase new and nearly new ladies and men’s clothing, shoes and accessories in the boutique, bric-a-brac and second hand books. Thursday 16th June – Coach excursion to Gibraltar. Why not join Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar and visit Gibraltar, a chance to take a cable car to the top of the Rock, see the unique Barbary Apes. Visit the upper Rock nature reserve, where you will find the Historic tunnels dating from 1779-1783 and St. Michael´s Cave. Both of these have guided tours. In the town can be seen the Gibraltar Museum, Government House and in the Southern area are key historical sites. All information may be obtained from the tourist office, or an excellent alternative way of seeing the sights is by hiring a taxi, whose drivers are very knowledgeable and will explain the interesting, historical life of the Rock. It is also an opportunity to purchase duty free Items and typical English items of food, etc. from the Morrisons super market.

New Rules for Blog
