Rubbish – Appeal for Tidiness
Can I make an appeal to people that think overflowing bins like this are acceptable? If your nearest bin is full, please make an effort to take your rubbish to the multiple bins, skips and recycling points that are located at the (previously known as) ‘tip’
There are plenty of other re-cycle points and bins around. If you don’t want a smelly bag of rubbish in your car then hang it from your rear windscreen.
If you are a holiday villa owner, or property management company, please instill in your rental guests the importance of disposing of rubbish in a sensible manner and encourage them to re-cycle.
Don’t just moan that the Ayuntamiento isn’t collecting it regularly enough – I have already written to the Alcalde. Let’s all be pro active and sensible in rubbish disposal and recycling and keep our beautiful village of Cómpeta clean and tidy.

Fire in Nerja
Is this the first fire this year near Nerja ?
On Sunday evening the familiar sound of the water bombing helicopter could be heard over the motorway tunnel to the west of Nerja.
They do a wonderful job – but the Bomberos seem very unfamiliar with their local region and one can watch them trying to get near the fire along tracks that locals know will never reach the place.
The Guadia Civil seem to suffer from the same lack of local knowledge.

if it were a Contributor’s address I’d insert spaces thus –
janekirkspain @ gmail,com.
So all you do is remove those spaces before contacting a contributor.
New Rules for Blog
