Lost Kitten. Please Help 

We need help in finding our lost campo kitten (6 months old), called Smokie, because she is mostly grey with stripes.  We took her to Clínica Veterinaria Axarquia in Torre del Mar on Tuesday 11 October for neutering, so she now has a shaved stomach.  After we collected her at 5.30 pm she escaped into the car park opposite Supercor (Torre del Mar).

We did find her hiding on the engine of a car, but while our friend was attempting to catch her she bit and scratched him and ran off again.  We are afraid she might have got onto another car engine and could be anywhere.  We are still searching for her.

Meet Lili,
Lili is twelve years old and in need of a new forever home.

Her owner is in the UK receiving treatment for Cancer and is unlikely to be back here anytime soon and has asked me to help find her new permanent home.

Her carer at this time who resides in an apartment in Malaga is no longer in a position to look after her.

She is a little nervous and probably best being the only dog in the household.

Recommendations Needed – Gluten Intolerant Breads

I have been diagnosed recently as gluten intolerant and therefore need a gluten free diet.

The major problem I have encountered is the lack of gluten free bread that is edible, the supermarket breads are awful and the bakers don’t have it at all, does anyone know of anywhere selling acceptable gluten free bread ? We live in Torrox campo but will travel to find something worth eating !!

Answers to Digamextra as I am sure there are others out there with the same problem, it apparently is becoming a more common occurrence.

Recommendation Rob Bell, Torrox graphic designer & photographer

British professional photographer Rob Bell of Torrox this week succeeded in doing the impossible—making me look 30 years younger yet even wiser.

I highly recommend Rob, who took a 36 mp series of professional portraits for our web site being constructed in Valencia, thebrexitlawfirm.com.

Rob, who can be reached at 951066688 or 678204428 and at rbphotos26 @ gmail.com, was tasked to re-invent my image as an American barrister for our new international law firm based in Valencia, the Brexitlawfirm. Rob and his wife and assistant, Susan, were superb in every way in creating a new persona that even I did not fully recognize (or perhaps choose to as it was a real trip back to the future).

But Rob, using a high end Nikon camera with 36 mps and lighting equipment did a superb job.

Our new law firm used his genius as a graphic artist helping design our logo and print advertisements and now this, creating someone I had not met in a very long time.

Well done, Rob! I highly recommend him, and he is extremely reasonable in his fees, a very practical and talented man.

Thursday 3rd November.  Coach Excursion to Álora & the Wolf Park. Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar invite you to join friends on a day excursion by coach to visit the typical whitewashed village of Álora nestled between three rocky spurs. There will be a guided tour of the village, which consists of a series of very steep slopes and attractive cobbled streets.  You will visit the ruins of a magnificent castle which was first built by the Phoenicians and subsequently expanded under Roman rule. In the 5th century the castle was virtually destroyed by the Visigoths, only to be rebuilt under the Moors; remnants of this era still remain, namely the decorative steel door.  You will be able to see the splendid panoramic view of the Guadalhorce river basin. It is important to note that the coach is unable to drive up to the castle and there is an uphill gradient to the castle which may be difficult for people who find walking difficult. There is also a visit to the museum and the Bachiller oil mill.

After the tour there will be free time for you to buy and relax over lunch.  You will then rejoin the coach for the short drive to the Wolf Park, where there will be another guided tour which explains the wolves’ history and life style. You will see them close up, being fed and interacting with each other and witness wolves in an exceptional environment that leaves no doubt that these animals in captivity do have a chance to live in a semi-natural habitat. Ticket price 34 Euros available at the Centre, which includes guided visits, entrances, transport and insurance.  Activity for fundraising.  Departure times from: Viñuela (Football Pitch) 08.45, Algarrobo (Lidl) 09.10, Caleta (Vets) 09.15, Torre del Mar (Coach Station) 09.25. Depart Wolf Park approximately 17.30.
