Urgent ! New Home Needed
Pussa
Recently I have been caring for a number of animals at my friends house in Nerja. Sadly, she has now been diagnosed with a terminal illness and will not
be able to return to Spain. She has to give up her beloved Pussa who she rescued 16 years ago.
The cat is definitely a campo cat, very independent and likes to ‘ hit the tiles ‘ at night time.
But she also likes a nice lap to sit on and is affectionate.
No signs of illness or aggression, even though she lives with 3 dogs!
She has been spayed, so there will be no additions to the family.
Although, I am not sure she could at her age!
Before I leave for
the city on Friday I really want to find her a nice home to live out her twilight years.
I am not associated with any charities, so there is no adoption fee to pay.

Santi Awaiting a New Home
Santi was born on June 1st and is the last of the litter to find a forever home.
We rescued his mother in May and discovered she was pregnant and she went on to have 6 pups.
2 have gone to Norway and 2 found homes locally – one from Digame.
We are keeping the mother and one pup but really can’t manage him also.
He is lovely and has had a good upbringing.
Can anyone give him a home? He is going to be a big dog!

Thefts from Tourists –

Sorry to hear about the theft from a vehicle of all belongings. Thieves also target people who have just arrived in Spain. I have now heard of two cases where people have picked up a hire car and headed off on their holidays and who have then parked up somewhere en route to their destinations. And yes you guessed it, the car is broken into and their entire belongings stolen. It may be worth warning our friends and loved ones who might find themselves in this scenario to go directly to their destination without stopping or leaving the car unattended. Nigel

Our friends arrived in Malaga last week, picked up their hired car and drove along the motorway towards Torrox ,stopping at El Ingenio, to pick up some things in Eroski. They parked in the main covered area. They were in the shop around midday for 20 minutes and came back to find that the back, side window had been smashed and their bags taken. Fortunately they had their passports, money, cards etc with them in the shop but lost all their clothes and toiletries. Not a good way to start their holiday. We reported it at the police station in Torre del Mar and have to say the policeman who dealt with us was very helpful and patient and spoke some English although we could speak to him in Spanish. I don’t think it helps that most of the hire car companies put their logo and sticker on the back window of their cars. Please tell your friends and families to be vigilant when visiting. Avril

To all our customers east of Malaga, our next delivery date will be next
Monday the 28th of November ,orders need to be in by this Thursday 24th.
We are a Butchers based in Alhuarin el Grande but on request have been delivering every three weeks to the east of Malaga – Rincon, Velez, Puente, Torrox, Frigiliana, Nerja and Competa.
The next delivery will be 1 week earlier on the 12th of December and also there will be one Christmas week either Wednesday Thurs or Friday evening/night. This will be solely for Turkey,Beef , Gammon,Pork etc.
Any Sausages , bacon sausage meat etc will have to be on the 12th.
