Let’s give the orphans something to smile about this Christmas! We will be raising funds for 100 aids orphans in Uganda. Lots of stalls selling all kinds of Christmas goodies, crafts, mulled wine and Santa will be there with bells on! Speaking of bells, live music from 15:00 including The Three Stooges, Meigan, Jazzie Jools and many more!
Some great activities planned for kids, so do come along to Los Ventorros!

What’s on- The Nerja Players
This coming Tuesday, 29th November, the Nerja Players are proud to present a rehearsed reading of the two act play, “And a Day”. This play is special for us as it is the first play written by our own member, Arthur Honey. Arthur says that he,
“Wrote my first play for the Nerja Players just for something to do. I never expected it to be put on. “And a Day” was written for a small cast as the Players were short of actors. It combined my love of the theatre and history, setting it around WWI. Social history has always been of more interest to me than kings and queens. I don’t think of myself as a writer – I just try to write, telling the stories of the people that enter into my head.”
“And a Day” is a tale of romance and is set during the First World War and features best friends Dan and Willy, who work in the local factory, and their respective girl-friends, Sally and Ann. On the outbreak of war Dan and Willy are sent to the Front and the local factory is requisitioned to make munitions. Sally is employed filling artillery shells and dreams of Dan’s return. Ann, however, has a different vision of her future – but nobody knows what the future holds…..
It is directed by Peter Burch who says he is looking forward to working with Arthur in the future as well as with this production.
If you would like to watch this special rehearsed reading please come along on Tuesday 29th November 2016 to the Nerja Bridge Club premises, which are at the top of Avda Castilla Perez, Nerja, behind the blue double doors next to the Cafe Royal. We meet at 6.30 for 7 pm.

You can also see the many Christmas illuminations of the city, especially in the Larios, where this year at 18.30 and 21.00 hours there is a sound and light spectacular including excerpts from popular songs. You can also ride the big wheel to see the floodlit Cathedral, Alcazar and port. There will be time for refreshments or dinner before joining the coach at 22.00pm for the short drive to the “La Mosca” area of Malaga, to visit its unique and famous Belen (Nativity) which is built into the mountain side. It is approximately 20 mts long and is one of the main tourist attractions, visited by thousands of people during Christmas. Ticket price 10 Euros. All proceeds for fundraising. Wanted –Boxes of Cheese Biscuits
Does anyone know of any shop that sells the plastic boxes of a biscuit selection for cheese? I am not talking about titchy little packets with 3 different biscuits in, but the big double layered box about 9″ square with lots of different ones.
