The flight entry is a new (to me) Google game.
It picks up certain events and automatically adds them to the Calendar and sends you an alert.
It can be turned off in the calendar settings, but it’s not easy to find.

From DoctorLaptop: This “Calander Notice of Upcoming Event” was caused by all the flight details included in the original post and should only apply to Gmail users. It’s a so  called “convenience feature” of Google Calander, called Events for Gmail, that Google added to it’s bank of features you receive when you sign up for Gmail, or any other Google services, several years ago. Back then Events for Gmail was an option in Calander that users had to turn on to use. Then Google decided to automatically activate it in user accounts over a year ago, although it was slow to be implemented and some people are just now having the Events for Gmail feature show up. Directions to turn it off: When you turn off the setting to add events from Gmail, all past events added from Gmail will be removed from your calendar. If you turn this setting back on, only events in the future will be added.

1. Open Google Calendar.
2. In the top right, click the Settings icon   > Settings.
3. Find the Events from Gmail section (stay in the “General” tab).
4. Uncheck Add automatically.
5. At the bottom of the page, click Save.

As for this problem post re-appearing in subsequent issues of DigameXtra after the original was published in issue #479 last Sunday, I have yet to see evidence of this, although I have received a few reports that it has done so. If that offending post has re-appeared in your DigameXtra in the last 2 issues (#480 or #481), please forward a copy or screenshot to me at doctorlaptop @ gmx.com. I suspect what these few reports were referring to was actually a “prompt” from Calander reminding you that you had an upcoming scheduled event, in this case a flight, superimposed on top of the new issue of DigameXtra. My investigation will continue and if I find out any more info I will post it.

Dear Sally,
I am non resident and had a mammogram about two years ago at

Clinica Rincon at Nerja.

There was no need to make an appointment, just turn up.

It cost about 90 euros.

What’s on – Jukebox Bandits  

Jukebox Bandits are playing live in the big heated tent at El Recreo (behind the Town Hall) this coming Friday 27th Jan from 7.30pm.

Jukebox Bandits are a covers band consisting of Rod Jones on keyboards, Ian Hayton on bass, guitar and vocals, Marshall Dixon on drums and percussion and Mitch France on acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, banjo and vocals.

They play totally live with an eclectic mix of pop, rock and folk standards from Britain, America, Ireland and Spain. From Dire Straits to The Dubliners, from Manu Chao to Jason Mraz. The music starts mellow (whilst people are eating), gradually picking up the tempo and culminating with the dance set including standards like Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl”, REM’s “Losing My Religion” and The Mavericks’ “Dance the Night Away”.
