Services – A serious Comment

I am writing regarding my concerns relating to an advertisement on Digame, Wednesday of this week.

As an English nurse with 40 years experience, I do not comprehend how this Carers’ agency can recruit an English nurse unless said nurse has qualified here in Spain too.  We cannot practice without this dual registration and would actually be working without any professional indemnity. This could in fact lead to being struck off in the UK as unprofessional conduct as it is downright illegal and would be construed as malpractice. It concerns me that someone running a care agency doesn’t know this.
Regarding the statement ” We will not work as part of a ‘package deal’ so please do not respond if that is your field.” I am confused by the meaning of this. Every patient/client is individual and a personal Care plan must be put in place for the greater good of the patient. This is to ensure continuity, in both the standard and type of care to be given. This is the package for that patient’s needs.

Whilst, the need for carers is very necessary, it is also imperative that the correct knowledge and experience is to hand. Unfortunately,  a little bit of knowledge can be very dangerous with dire consequences.

There are many English nurses living here, but the only person I know of with the relevant qualifications is called Liz Brown. She covers a very wide area, Nerja and surrounding areas and has widened her patch taking in Torre del Mar, La Vinuela etc. If you Google English Nurse Competa the you can get more information including testimonials.

I only know of Liz Brown through a patient, praising her highly. Please think very carefully when choosing the right care for your loved ones.
