Recommendation-  Paint supplier

There are a couple of good ways to “blind out” stains and mould-marks on walls, before using normal emulsion paint for the final finish:

– Apply a coat of PVA (poly vinyl acetate), diluted with water enough to make it brushable/rollerable.  This adheres really well to the wall, and remains slightly tacky ready for the top coat.  It forms an impermeable membrane, through which mould will not penetrate.

– An alternative, and just as effective, is to paint the wall with a coat or two of ‘caucho’.  The one I would recommend is TKrom brand ‘Antigotteras’, available in white and several colours.  This also forms a water/stainproof barrier, which can be overpainted.

Both the products above are water-based, but highly effective.  Pinturas Andalucia is a good place to get them.

Antigotteras also makes an excellent pool surround paint, as it is amazingly tough (will withstand jetwashing) and anti-slip; it is also massively cheaper than so-called dedicated pool-edge paints.

Recommendation- Solar Tinting

We would like to highly recommend Ian of Solar Shade Tinting for his very efficient work.
After contacting him on Friday he arrived Saturday morning on time and fitted tinted film to our car rear window.

The previous film had blistered badly and obstructed the rear view.

Are there any Digamites out there who use a MAG250 IPTV box?

I would be interested in having a natter about recording & downloading etc. It’s almost impossible to find a detailed “User Guide” even on the internet.Someone else’s experience might be helpful.

What’s No Longer on- Johnny Q’s

After four plus years. Linda and myself will be calling last orders at Johnny Q’s on Tuesday Night 25-4-2017 .We would like to thank everyone for their support and custom over the years. in our time here at johnny Q’s, we have had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people and making some amazing friends. We would also like to thank all the musicians and singers who made the TuesdayNight Jam/Open Mic sessions the success they were. This is a lovely example of a fast appreciating collectible classic.

I think this is because of the cheap maintenance, quirky lines fun

drive and functionality.

It has exceptional ground clearance and is actually better than our every day car and gets in and out of the campo without any issues whatsoever even though the track to our house is fairly rutted where we live –

the underside has never been scraped by me.

Even with the high clearance this is a sports car and has superb road holding through bends etc.

This car has been well maintained having had complete engine rebuild by the previous owner, 4 new tyres. It presents very well though is not perfect, this wasn’t a trailer queen and has been used regularly by me.

It doesn’t look like the average Spanish demolition derby car either!!

It benefits from having had a full professional valet, which included a specialist paint treatment which minimizes paint fading and makes it far easier to clean the paintwork. The soft top was new but some oik took a shine to the car stereo and cut the roof to get in and steal it. It was repaired and is completely waterproof though the repair can be seen.

A new car stereo has been fitted.

The interior also presents well. I have enjoyed my ownership it truly is a fun little car to drive about with the wind in your hair on winding mountain roads.

We need to buy a large 7 seater 4×4 as more family members are coming to live with us, so sadly it has to go.

It is Left hand drive with Spanish plates, ITV’d and correct documentation in my name.
