What’s on –Women of Andalucia  The next meeting for the group will be held at El Vente Restaurant El Penoncillo on 14th of December at 1.30 pm.    The restaurant is on the opposite side of the Road to our previous meeting point of Jose Jimenez going towards Nerja.

There was a shop in Nerja called The Frock Exchange, where good
quality second hand clothes were sold on a 50/50 basis.  I have been

What’s on- 10th Art Walk 2018 in Competa 31/1 – 4/4      In 2017 we had the successful Art Walk with 22 locations and 38 participants!     It attracted many visitors from the region and even from further away – the town was buzzing. We were very lucky with the beautiful weather, and a lot of good quality art was shown, as well as some handicraft products. Anne-Barbara Lenzin made a beautiful mosaic on the gallery wall. Bronze caster Daan showed the bronze casting process and English artist George Kowzan made a beautiful wall painting at the roof terrace of Taberna Oscars. Live music gave the village extra rhythm.   Although it took a lot of work to organise, it was all worth it, and Jeroen Stultiens made a nice summary film of the event. https://vimeo.com/231286289         Lieuwke Loth, who organised it the previous 4 times, doubted for a long time, if she’d again take on the task of organising another Art Walk. In the end she decided the successful art event should be continued. Fortunately there are, also like other years, various people who will volunteer. This one will be the 10th edition! Exciting!
