Approaching from Puente Don Manuel, take A7205 which bypasses Viñuela village and right at the end of the village at the new roundabout, you’ll see a white single storey building on the right and nearby is an earth parking area. Ring and let us know if you are coming and we will bring some spare music.
IMPORTANT the name of our choir is “Coral Coraxalia”, not to be confused with a recently established different choir called “Coral International Axarquía”

Alberto’s debut at Club Tropicana, Nerja: Fri., 5th Oct 6pm. Friday night we are joined by Nerja’s famous and very talented Alberto for his debut in Club Tropicana. Prior to this we will be serving what we believe is the best fish and chips this town has ever seen. Big bold statement I know but take our word for it and come and try it for yourselves. Lux Mundi Torre del Mar coming events & excursions press release: -Sunday October 7th – Harvest Thanksgiving & Blessing of St. Francis. Besides the Harvest Thanksgiving service there will be a blessing of yours and all animals. All non perishable food will be donated to the Torre del Mar Food Bank. The service will be followed by a sharing lunch. Time 11.00 at the Centre.
-Friday October 12th – The Centre will be closed for National Holiday.
-Monday October 15th- Art Appreciation Group. This Autumn we will be watching and discussing the Art of Spain. Our starting point will be the series by Andrew Graham Dixon on the History of Spanish Art. We will watch the broadcast together and then have a lively discussion. Last of Andalusian ferias signal the end of summer: The remaining ferias on the Costa del Sol are from 8 to 12 October in Nerja, from 5 to 9 October in Ojén, and from 16 to 21 October in San Pedro de Alcántara.

The Torrox Spanish History Group: The Torrox Spanish History Group meets every first Tuesday of the week at El Parquesol in El Morche at 11am. The aim is for members to explore both the local History as well as history on a much wider scale. In that way we can better understand the existing social, political, religious and economic conditions of the Spanish People.
Since the group was first set up we have had talks on Pre-history, the Phoenicians, the Carthaginians, The History of the Jews and a talk on the Roman Charioteer called Gais Appuleius Diocles as well as the History of the Andalusian horse, the Middle East pre-Islam and Muhammad. Our next meeting will be on the 2nd October, 2018. The first talk will be on “How Christopher Columbus Invented the British Navy” by Peter Afrendoulis and Keith (Rockall) will continue his talk on the Romans.
We have also enjoyed trips out and try to get out at least once a month to a local area for a visit to an historical site or museum. Our next trip out will be on the 6th November when we are visiting the Medina Azahara just outside of Cordoba.

Recycling Cooking Oil: A few weeks ago I asked if anyone knew of where I could recycle used cooking oil and I received no replies so I assume no-one knew. U3A Axarquia: The U3A Axarquia is loosely based on but not affiliated to the U3A in the UK and the association has been running here in the Axarquia since 2009. Reply, Amazon Echo use in Torrox: For Anthea and anyone else interested. Yes, Amazon Echo will work in Torrox- but you need to set it up in the UK, using downloaded app, get it working then, when in Spain, change to your wifi network and you are off.
