El Morche- La Hermandad de la Virgen del Carmen Events
(The Brotherhood of Our Lady of Mount Carmel):
– Sunday 13 July there will be a Mass in honour of the deceased.
– Monday 14 July the Mass for the renewal of marriages will take place.
– Tuesday 15 July will be the day when children are presented to the patroness of El Morche.
– Wednesday 16 July the day of her feast, a solemn Eucharist will be celebrated and, from 12:00 noon, the floral offering will be held so that all devotees who wish may bring flowers to the Virgin of Carmen.
– The brotherhood informs that all Masses will take place at the Parish Church of Santiago El Mayor at 9:00 pm, and encourages all the faithful to accompany the Virgin of Carmen during these days.
– Saturday 19 July, the Brotherhood of the Virgin of Carmen holds its traditional open-air dance, a gathering point for brothers, residents, and visitors celebrating the patronal festivals.
– It is a busy month for El Morche, since, in addition to celebrating the Virgin of Carmen, they also celebrate their Patron Saint, the Apostle Santiago El Mayor, who parades through the streets of the town every year on

Amazon Fire TV Stick Begins Remote Disabling IPTV Piracy Apps:
– Popular all year round and at times selling out in the run-up to Christmas, the Fire TV Stick became a household brand, assisted in no small part by its Android-based operating system allowing sideloading of apps from third-party sources (…apps that allow unauthorized and/or pirate subscription access to premium network content like live sports, live BBC & etc).
– First reported by popular YouTuber TechDoctorUK, it emerged that two piracy apps – Flix Vision and Live NetTV – were no longer welcome on Amazon devices, despite being sideloaded from third-party sources technically outside Amazon’s control. Users with these apps already installed were given little choice; Amazon disabled both remotely with an option to follow-up with a full delete. The warning from Amazon mirrors similar warnings in current anti-piracy campaigns; apps offering pirated content often contain malware or expose users to other risks including exfiltration of their personal data.
– Additional reports indicate that Amazon isn’t quite finished and more apps are currently falling in much the same fashion. – The first (official) heatwave of the summer will arrive this Saturday. After enduring a scorching June, the warning from Aemet is causing considerable concern among citizens, as the start of July points to a situation even more stifling than what has been experienced so far.

This format is already fully operational in the UK and is currently being implemented in Sweden and Switzerland, among other healthcare systems.
– The health minister said that AI will probably have more functions in health centres in the future, but that for now it will only start with the transcription and automated summary of the consultation. Always with the patient’s permission, the tool will record the conversation, summarise it and present it in a format for inclusion in the record. Monty AAR 2429 – 6 years old, he has been in our care and kennels since 2021, when he was found injured and wandering the streets. Monty is a Dalmatian cross, fully vaccinated and neutered. He absolutely loves people, and just wants to please. He gets on well with bigger dogs, but doesn’t like to be approached by dogs off lead, when he is on his, especially smaller ones. Monty would be best suited as an only dog, in a home with plenty of land. He is loving and loyal to people, and is just looking for that right person to adopt him. Malaga Puppet Festival: 27 to 30 June
The Eduardo Ocón Auditorium in the Paseo del Parque is the main stage for this festival. The puppet shows are suitable for children from 3 upwards and all performances are free and start at 8pm. – Friday 27 June and Saturday 28 June on Calle Alcazabilla at 10pm. Some of Spain’s best singers will perform with true maestros on guitar. – Friday 4 July. The day will include the traditional Sardine Barbecue, performances by local dance groups, the band Hakunna Matata, and musical closure once again with Palomares DJ.
– Saturday 5 July. Saturday night will open with a performance by Ban Pao, followed by the presentation of the local sports club’s youth teams. The most anticipated moment will come with the headline performance by Sami Duque, scheduled for 12:30 am, and the evening will close with music from Sau DJ.
– Sunday 6 July. Sunday will begin with the Public Paella prepared by the Sin Edades Association, along with performances by local dance groups and the band Ñ Clan. Palomares DJ will bring the daytime fair to a close. In the evening the fair will conclude with performances by the dance groups of Antonio and Elsa Guerra.

Malaga experiences its first hot summer dawn with a minimum temperature of 26C: {Translation, summary}

– “The Office of Cybersecurity has deemed WhatsApp a high-risk to users due to the lack of transparency in how it protects user data, absence of stored data encryption, and potential security risks involved with its use,” the CAO said in a memo, according to Axios. RIP Mick Ralphs, founding member of Bad Company and Mott the Hoople, dies at 81:
– Mick Ralphs, a guitarist, singer, songwriter and founding member of the classic British rock bands Bad Company and Mott the Hoople, has died.
– Born in Stoke Lacy, Herefordshire, England, Ralphs began playing blues guitar as a teenager, and in his early 20s in 1966, he co-founded the Doc Thomas Group. In 1969, the band would become Mott the Hoople, a name taken from the title and title character of a 1966 novel by Willard Manus.
– A statement posted to Bad Company’s official website Monday announced Ralphs’ death at age 81. Ralphs had a stroke days after what would be his final performance with the band at London’s O2 Arena in 2016, and had been bedridden ever since, the statement said. No further details on the circumstances of his death were provided.
– Ralphs is set to become a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Bad Company in November.

Russian attacks on Ukraine kill at least 10 and injure dozens:
– Russian drones and missiles killed at least 10 civilians in Ukraine in night time attacks, local officials said Monday, with seven deaths reported in the capital, Kyiv, where emergency crews raced to find people believed trapped under the rubble of a partially collapsed apartment building.

Satellite images indicate severe damage to Fordow, but doubts remain:
– Commercial satellite imagery indicates the U.S. attack on Iran’s Fordow nuclear plant severely damaged – and possibly destroyed – the deeply-buried site and the uranium-enriching centrifuges it housed, but there was no confirmation, experts said on Sunday. The hall containing hundreds of centrifuges is “too deeply buried for us to evaluate the level of damage based on satellite imagery,” said satellite imagery expert Decker Eveleth. – What’s more, the breaches may not be over, with researchers looking into the incident saying that new huge datasets emerge every few weeks, a sign that the infostealer malware is not only still active but also still effective. “This is not just a leak,” said the team of researchers. “It’s a blueprint for mass exploitation. With over 16 billion login records exposed, cybercriminals now have unprecedented access to personal credentials that can be used for account takeover, identity theft, and highly targeted phishing.”

Evidence is building that people were in the Americas 23,000 years ago:
– The age of “rarely preserved” ancient human footprints dotting the landscape at White Sands National Park in New Mexico has been hotly debated for years. Now, a new study has found that these footprints really are around 23,000 years old — but the date isn’t accepted by everyone.
If the 23,000-year-old age is accurate, it would mean that humans were in North America around the peak of the Last Glacial Maximum, the coldest part of the last ice age — far earlier than archaeologists had previously thought.
– In the new study, the researchers radiocarbon-dated organic sediment in core samples from the site, which provided dates for the footprints as well as for the entire paleolake and river system that once existed there. The analysis was done in labs unaffiliated with earlier studies.
– “Our data supports the original data” that dated the site to 23,000 years ago, study first author Vance Holliday, a professor emeritus of anthropology and geosciences at the University of Arizona, told Live Science. “Plus, we now have an idea of what the landscape was like when people were out there.”

– On Tuesday, French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot called for the immediate immobilisation of all C3 and DS3 models with Takata airbags still in circulation. He said the company’s response had been “unacceptable and scandalous” and had “not matched the scale of the risk”.
– Shortly after, Citroën announced it was placing all affected vehicles under a stop-drive order across Europe. “We have decided to move to a ‘stop drive’ to speed up repairs,” Citroën’s new director Xavier Chardon told the French news agency AFP.
– The company said 441,000 affected cars are still on the road in Europe, including 82,000 in France.

Huge Data Breach Exposes 16 Billion Apple, Google, Facebook Passwords And More!:
– It might be high time to rotate your least-changed passwords, if not all of them. The research team at Cybernews has been quietly tracking stolen credential datasets released this year, and the figures aren’t good: a total of 16 billion records leaked (so far), including government accounts, Apple, Google, Facebook, Telegram logins, VPN credentials, among many other types of logins.
– The team found 30 exposed, easily accessible datasets with stolen access information, ranging from tens of millions to a humongous one with 3.5 billion records, pertaining to a Portuguese-speaking population (Brazil, if we had to guess given the size). While the provenance and relationship between the contents was sometimes ascertained, many of the datasets were completely unnamed. Additionally, while most of the information is apparently login-password sets, there’s a collection of login tokens and cookies, potentially letting attackers skip some forms of 2FA altogether. The fact that there are government logins and VPN credentials potentially put lives at risk, too.
– You might be wondering if these datasets are just remixes and remasters of old info, but Cybernews claims they’re all freshly pressed collections. The site claims the sets were only exposed on the open internet for a short while, but that can be both a blessing and a curse — while few people only took a look at them, the fact they’re now gone could prevent wider reporting, thus not letting as many users know their info could be compromised.
– Even worse, new datasets of gigantic dimensions are reportedly popping up “every few weeks,” illustrating the point that security professionals have been making for decades now, mostly to deaf ears: there are massive botnets and wide-ranging exploits doing the rounds at any given moment, and these attacks have become a constant threat rather than an occasional one. Cybercriminals love massive datasets as aggregated collections allow them to scale up various types of attacks, such as identity theft, phishing schemes, and unauthorized access.

The city welcomes a long list of huge flamenco talents for several free concerts during Malaga Flamenco Festival.
– 25 June and 26 June at 7pm in the Auditorio Edgar Neville in the Diputación building on the western seafront. Flamenco festival showcasing international talent. This year’s invited artists have danced their way over from France, China and the US. Free entry, but get there early to be sure of a seat.
– Friday 27 June and Saturday 28 June on Calle Alcazabilla at 10pm. Some of Spain’s best singers will perform with true maestros on guitar. Archez Semana Cultural 2025:
– Wednesday 18 will be the ‘Children’s Day’ starting at 9:30 with a Musical Workshop with Ba – Ba Music in the CPR Almijara of Árchez. At 19.00 hours you can enjoy the puppet theater ‘Los Títeres de Miguel Pino: Peneque, cien por cien valiente’ (Miguel Pino’s Puppets: Peneque, one hundred percent brave). There will also be face painting, free attractions and surprises on Avenida de Andalusia. “It is open to children from other towns to have fun together, and we have prepared these activities because we are aware of what they liked in previous editions”, explained the councillor.

Mashable’s own exploration of the app’s Discovery feed also corroborated this, finding Meta AI conversations from heartbroken people going through difficult breakups, attempting to self-diagnose medical conditions, and even posting personal photos it would like the AI to edit. Queries relating to medical issues being publically shared are also common. Users have shared details about bowel movements, hives, rashes, and even post-surgery conditions, including age and occupation details. Many of these accounts appear linked to public Instagram profiles.
– Now Meta AI has added a new warning alerting users that their prompts are public. First reported by Business Insider, this message pops up when you tap the “Share” button- “Prompts you post are public and visible to everyone. Your prompts may be suggested by Meta on other Meta apps. Avoid sharing personal or sensitive information.”
– Specifically, to keep your conversations private, avoid using the “Share” button in Meta AI, which posts conversations to the public Discovery feed.

Step 1: Open the Meta AI app.
Step 2: Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
Step 3: Tap “Data & privacy.”
Step 4: Tap “Manage your information.”
Step 5: Tap “Make all public prompts visible to only you.”
Alternatively, if you no longer wish to have a record of your Meta AI conversations yourself and would prefer them wiped, select “Delete all prompts.”
Step 6: Tap “Apply to all.”
~Once you’ve done this, you may also want to stop Meta from sharing your prompts on Instagram and Facebook. You can do this via a separate setting in the Meta AI app.~

Data protection prohibits hotels and accommodations from making copies of the ID card of the customer: {Translation}
– Verify the data, yes; keep a copy, no. On Tuesday, the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) issued an information note addressed to hotels and tourist accommodations stating that keeping a photograph or photocopy of customers’ ID cards violates privacy regulations. Without proper justification, carrying out this practice for guest registration could be subject to penalties, the agency warns.
– The Agency has issued this statement in relation to Royal Decree 933/2021, a regulation that sparked complaints from the hotel sector and privacy specialists due to the requirement for these establishments to collect a large amount of customer data. The regulation, which came into force in December 2024, requires hoteliers, tourist accommodation owners, travel agencies, and car rental companies to collect up to 28 categories of data from travelers.
– This includes unofficial personal data such as address, telephone number, or mobile phone number, as well as other transaction-related data such as payment method, bank account IBAN, or card expiration date. In addition, if any of the travelers are minors, the relationship between the guests must also be indicated. This data must be uploaded to a platform—called SES.HOSPEDAJES—set up by the Ministry of the Interior and must be kept for three years.
– Now, the AEPD is telling hoteliers that making a copy of the ID card or passport is not enough to comply with the regulations, as the document does not include all the necessary data. Instead, it involves the collection of information that the royal decree does not request. Therefore, it understands that “requesting a copy of the National Identity Document or Passport violates the principle of data minimization,” since “it involves excessive data processing.”
– “This is because the full ID card contains more data than is required under the applicable regulations, such as the photograph, the expiry date of the document, the CAN [Level Access Code, a six-digit number used as an additional security measure] or the names of the parents,” it points out. Sending the document via a photograph also does not allow verification that the guest is actually the person reflected in the document, the Agency continues.
– In addition, this practice exposes customers to security breaches in the event of a cyberattack. “Providing a copy of personal documentation involves, among other things, an unnecessary risk of identity theft,” says the privacy regulator. This is a growing attack vector with the repeated breaches suffered by accommodations, which then serve as a springboard for cybercriminals to launch scams against guests through platforms such as Booking.
– Instead of making copies of ID cards or passports, the regulator recommends that accommodations prepare a form with the necessary information to comply with the requirements of the Ministry of the Interior, and then verify it in person with the help of the official document. In the case of online data collection without in-person assistance, this verification can be carried out using mechanisms such as digital certificates, the note stated. “It is also possible to verify that the data and information provided matches the data associated with the means of payment used,” according to the agency.
