Frankenstein the Show: A circus and theatre are merged with a touch of dark humour, backed by live music. June 26 to 28 at the Congress Centre in Granada with performances at 6pm and 9.30pm each night.
With this show we expand the concept of the so-called New Circus, reinforcing the plot and the “Theme of Horror”. We made a fun and rogue, but at the same time emotional, version of Mary Shelley’s magnificent work “Frankenstein” or “The Modern Prometheus”. A different way of telling this well-known story through Humor and Acrobatics.
We will transfer the spectator to a fantastic world from the same entrance door of the theater / venue and we will make him forget everything during the two hours of entertainment that our “Show” offers. A stage proposal where the most intense moments of the original novel and the funniest of the versions that have been seen throughout all these years in cinema and theaters are mixed, all wrapped in a fantasy aesthetic inspired by the wonderful mind from the filmmaker “Tim Burton”.

Andalusia’s President Juanma Moreno has provided a glimpse of the ‘new freedoms’ and changes to the existing rules as the region walks into the New Normal. “ “Bars and restaurants can serve up to a maximum capacity of 75% inside establishments, and up to 100% capacity on terraces,” Moreno added. Europe hit by local infection spikes; China’s outbreak wanes: Europe grappled Thursday with local spikes in coronavirus infections as the continent’s lockdown restrictions eased, after hundreds of cases were found at one meatpacking plant in Germany and Greece had to impose a total seven-day lockdown on one village.
The developments came even as a new outbreak in Beijing saw a decline in daily cases and Hong Kong Disneyland reopened after a major drop in infections in the Chinese territory.
In western Germany, health officials in Guetersloh on Wednesday said the number of new COVID-19 cases linked to the Toennies slaughterhouse in Rheda-Wiedenbrueck had risen to 657, a significant regional spike for a country that has recorded daily nationwide infections in the low hundreds lately. UK Pound has bad week: Since opening this week at the level of 1.1143, GBP/EUR has seen mixed movement. GBP/EUR trended higher for around half the week, and briefly touched on a high of 1.1219 but is currently trending near its worst levels all month: 1.1074. The biggest cause of today’s Pound to Euro exchange rate drop was market reaction to the Bank of England’s (BoE) latest policy decision. Source: https://www.exchangerates.org.uk/news/29846/2020-06-18-bank-of-england-tone-disappointing-to-british-pound-to-euro-gbp-eur-exchange-rate-investors.html

The EU’s C-19 Recovery Funds Plan Threatened: EU leaders face pushback from the blockade of the Netherlands and it’s allies in the “Frugal Five” against the anti-crisis fund. “We have not yet started to negotiate, everything is to be done,” say insiders. In Brussels nobody expects much from the first meeting this Friday. And that despite more than 170,000 deaths on the continent from coronavirus and the euro area is expected to end 2020 with a recession of around 8%, with countries like Spain close to 10%.
Contrary to promising announcements and multiple press releases from the Spanish Gov’t the matter is only now being scheduled for July 9th debate. It is the first full meeting of heads of state and government on the European Commission’s proposal: € 750 billion for reconstruction – € 500,000 in grants and € 250,000 in loans – and a multi-year 2021-2027 budget of € 1.1 trillion. World War II Forces sweetheart singer Vera Lynn dies at 103: Lynn hosted a wildly popular BBC radio show during the war called “Sincerely Yours” in which she sent messages to British troops abroad and performed the songs they requested. The half-hour program came on during the highly coveted slot following the Sunday night news.
During the war and long after, Lynn got crowds singing, smiling and crying with sentimental favorites such as “We’ll Meet Again,” and “The White Cliffs of Dover.”

Spanish Government flatly refuses to automatically extend the ERTE exemptions due to force majeure: No progress. This is how the new negotiation for the extension of the ERTE of force majeure concluded today. The Executive has again rejected the proposal agreed by the social partners to replicate this scheme until September 30, as a prerequite step to a new extension that would last until the end of the year.

Magnitude 7.4 Quake Hits New Zealand, Prompts Brief Tsunami Warning: Despite resident reports that rated the earthquake’s strength as “weak” or “moderate,” the United States Geological Survey said only 15 earthquakes have registered at greater magnitudes near New Zealand over the past 120 years. While GeoNet data showed earthquakes recorded near the Kermadec Islands are common, most are much smaller in size than the magnitude 7.4 earthquake recorded on Friday. Apple Bullies Britain into dumping homegrown virus tracing app, forces it to use Google-Apple system: Even though it worked well on Google’s Android devices, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said the government was abandoning the prototype app and instead putting its efforts into developing one using a special interface jointly developed by Apple and Google.
“Apple software prevents iPhones from being used effectively for contact tracing unless you’re using Apple’s own technology,” Health Secretary Matt Hancock said at the government’s daily briefing. “Our app won’t work because Apple won’t change their system,” Hancock said. He wasn’t able to say when a new app would be ready.

A Solstice Solar Eclipse Is About To Happen: Just How Rare Is It?: On Saturday, June 20, 2020, the solstice will occur as the Earth’s north pole reaches its maximum tilt towards the Sun. Big Tech & Fakebook Under New Threats of Loss of Protections: The U.S. Justice Department proposed on Wednesday that Congress take up legislation to curb protections that big tech platforms like Alphabet’s Google and Facebook have had for decades, a senior official said, following through on U.S. President Donald Trump’s bid to crack down on tech giants. If they are going to edit, fact check, and censor content then they are publishers and don’t qualify for the Section 230 protections created for telecom and internet access providers that don’t edit content in services they offer. Job Hunting Online?: How to Detect and Avoid Fake Recruiter Scams. There are scammers who pretend to be recruiters in order to access your confidential information and even your bank account.
Often, they use information from real companies, resume information found online, and other details to make the jobs they offer sound convincing.
Some of these fake recruiters go so far as setting up fake profiles on LinkedIn. Or, they may have their own websites that show them as an independent recruiter.
For scammers, the end goal is always the same: theft. Sometimes, scammers try to deceive you into paying them cash as some type of fee for job processing. In other instances, they will attempt to steal a job applicant’s personal details (such as their social security number) for identity theft purposes. Vetiver Spain in Sayalonga
Are you having soil erosion issues after all the recent rain?
Vetiver is the perfect solution with the 3 – 4 metre root system.
The plant is non invasive, grows rapidly and once established it needs very little water.
We are finally open again for business. We are still not permitted to have visitors at our nursery but we can ship plants via post or we can deliver locally.
Our first day of shipping was Monday and we shipped 2,000 plants to various locations in Spain, Portugal, and Hungary.
We have plenty of Vetiver in stock. Right now the soil is nice and damp and the weather is starting to heat up so it is the perfect time to plant.
We also have Lemon Grass, Moringa Seedlings and Organic Moringa Powder.
Moringa, also known as the “Miracle Tree”, has many nutritional and health benefits. If you have ever been to a Thai Restaurant you have probably had Lemon Grass.
Lemon Grass grows easily and quickly. Take a look at our website or go directly to the two links below. If you have any questions please contact us either by email or phone.

Recommendations & Requests

Nature Info: Firstly, I live in Puente Don Manuel and have a fish pond but this year there have been snakes in it all year, normally they only come for a few days at the end of April or beginning of May, and they have eaten nearly all my fish, is there a way to get rid of them at all?
Secondly, I am concreting at the edge of the pond to keep the weeds down, and as I lifted a piece of the old membrane that was laid down with pebbles on, there was what at first glance looked like a huge earthworm, approximately 4or 5 inches long, blunt at both ends and as thick as a thumb and the colour of an earthworm. As I lifted the membrane this thing wriggled similar to a snake and moved really fast into the hedge. It all happened that fast I didn’t have time to see it properly but I had heard of slow worms and thought it was possibly one of those, but on looking them up they are quite big and look like snakes, and apparently there aren’t any in Andalusia.
Please reply to alan-edson@hotmail.com ; Thanks, Alan
(Maybe it’s a skink? Here is a pic. Sometimes they lose their tails resulting in that blunt on both ends look. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skink. Photo:animals.net , -Ed.)

Oracle E-Business Suite Flaws Let Hackers Hijack Business Operations: If your business operations and security of sensitive data rely on Oracle’s E-Business Suite (EBS), make sure you recently updated and are running the latest available version of the software. One consequence of these bugs, if left unpatched, is the possibility of financial fraud and confidential information theft by attacking a firm’s accounting systems. An attacker could modify critical reports in the ledger, including fraudulently manipulating transactions on a firm’s balance sheets.
Given the financial risk involved, it is highly recommended that companies using Oracle EBS run an immediate assessment to ensure they are not exposed to these vulnerabilities, and apply the patches to fix them.
“Organizations need to be aware that current GRC tools and other traditional security methods (firewalls, access controls, SoD and others) would be ineffective against preventing this type of attack on vulnerable Oracle EBS systems,” the researchers cautioned. Spaniard Nadal said earlier this month he would not travel to the U.S. Open in present circumstances, while Djokovic said playing the event this year would be impossible given “extreme” protocols that would be in place. Costa del Sol tackling second forest blaze in less than 24 hours: At around 3pm this afternoon, emergency services were alerted to a forest fire in Alhaurín de la Torre, Malaga, according to INFOCA. Yesterday evening, three aircraft and three firefighting units were deployed to tackle a roaring forest fire in the Casares area. PHOTO:Infoca Twitter. SCAM ALERT: Police have shut down a fraudulent pyramid scheme which conned more than 250 people out of €10 million on Spain’s Costa Blanca. The bait used was the promise of high returns, between 15 and 30 per cent, well above the average interest offered in the traditional market. In order to make the investors believe they were a “serious and safe company”, the conmen paid out the first interest payments, but once they had “hooked” important amounts, stopped paying. This tactic enabled the gang to raise €10 million, though it is believed the figure could be higher.
The Guardia Civil has recommended anybody considering investing privately should consult official websites beforehand. Full story: https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2020/06/16/police-shut-down-e10-million-pyramid-scam-on-spains-costa-blanca/

German Prosecutor Sends Madeleine McCann’s Parents Heartbreaking Letter Confirming Daughter’s Death: The prosecutor claims to have “concrete evidence,” however he said he can’t reveal the details yet, in case it jeopardises the investigation. Austria- man fined €500 for farting ‘with full intent’ at police: The Oesterreich newspaper reported that the fine stemmed from an incident on June 5 and that the offender was fined for “offending public decency.” They added that the man had behaved “provocatively and uncooperatively” during an encounter with officers that preceded the incident. He got up from a park bench, looked at officers and “let go a massive intestinal wind apparently with full intent,” they said. “And our colleagues don’t like to be farted at so much.” Reference:

Apple Gets Blasted by EU Again- EU authorities open twin Apple antitrust investigations: European Union regulators opened two investigations on Tuesday into Apple’s mobile app store and payment platform over concerns its practices distort competition, opening a new front in the EU’s battle against the dominance of big tech companies.
The EU’s executive Commission said it formally launched the investigations over concerns that Apple’s way of doing business hurts consumers by limiting choice and innovation and keeping prices high. Apple dismissed the complaints as “baseless.”
The Commission opened a second investigation into the App Store over concerns Apple forces developers to use the company’s own in-app purchasing system, which charges them a 30% commission, and restricts them from telling iPhone and iPad users about other ways to pay for digital services like music subscriptions. The investigation follows complaints from music streaming service Spotify and an e-book distributor on the impact of the App Store’s rules on competition. Recommendations & Requests

Mercadona Shopping Trolleys: It’s a good idea. When you get to the till, turn the trolley around so it’s towards the previous customer and unload it from the narrow end. You do not have to pull it anywhere. George / Val, valblick AT hotmail D0T com, Torrox

Nuisance calls!: For the person who asked whether it is possible to Block nuisance calls here in Spain – I have a really cheap and effective way of blocking them! Just whistle down the phone as loud as you can – not very pleasant for the recipient but effective for us! I did that twice six months ago and haven’t been bothered since. DoctorLaptop’s Tips # 82: USB Printer is missing on Windows 10 version 1903 and later (with workaround). Some users report having problems with their printers after recent Windows 10 Updates were installed. Microsoft has acknowledged the bug. There is a workaround for the issue, and it is quite easy to apply. All that needs to be done is to connect the USB printer to the PC and power it on before you start your computer. If that is done, Windows will recognize the USB printer and printing functionality as well as other functionality provided by the printer is available during the session. Microsoft is working on a permanent fix for the issue and plans to release it as part of a future Windows 10 operating system update. Spain will reopen its borders for European travel on June 21st, including British, 10 days earlier than initially planned: Spain had previously planned to restart full EU travel on July 1st but decided to lift “border checks with all member countries on June 21st,” except with Portugal, Prime Minister Sanchez said in a televised speech on Sunday. Spain’s government causes uncertainty as daily Covid-19 death toll is put ‘on hold’: For days now, Spain’s daily coronavirus death toll has been on hold, generating widespread uncertainty about the real state of the pandemic that has claimed more than 27,000 lives in the country.
The health ministry’s emergencies coordinator Fernando Simón, who for months has given a daily briefing on the pandemic’s evolution, acknowledged the “astonishment” and “confusion” generated by the figures.
On May 25th, the ministry changed its method of collecting data on confirmed cases and fatalities, initially giving a daily death toll of between 50 and 100.
But the figure then fell to fewer than five per day and on some days there were no deaths at all.
Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez even told parliament there had been “no deaths” for several days, prompting a backlash from the right and the far-right who have since accused him of hiding the real number of fatalities. What Are IPTV Resellers and Why Has Reddit Just Banned Them, Twice?: While torrent-based piracy remains popular today, there is massive demand for unlicensed (illegal) IPTV providers that offer thousands of live TV channels and VOD packages. These illegal IPTV products are available for just a few dollars, euros or pounds per month from what appears to be thousands of suppliers. The truth, however, is that while there is a bewildering range of people willing to sell customers a subscription, most of these don’t run services of their own. Instead, they act as sellers or resellers of other entities’ products. Some of these are not even aware they are illegally reselling pirated content.
These individuals or groups sell IPTV subscriptions all over the Internet. They are often seen on Facebook pages, Twitter, or their very own websites. Until this week, hundreds were advertising subscriptions on Reddit via the appropriately named /r/iptvresellers sub-Reddit. However, that all came crashing down when Reddit’s admins banned the group for violating the site’s rules. Spies Can Listen to Your Conversations by Watching a Light Bulb in the Room: You might not believe it, but it’s possible to spy on secret conversations happening in a room from a nearby remote location just by observing a light bulb hanging in there—visible from a window—and measuring the amount of light it emits. The technique for long-distance eavesdropping, called “Lamphone,” works by capturing minuscule sound waves optically through an electro-optical sensor directed at the bulb and using it to recover speech and recognize music. The new approach is effective from great distances — starting with at least 25 meters away from the target using a telescope and a $400 electro-optical sensor, and can further be amplified with high-range equipment. Anger Grows At Lack of ERTE Payments After More than 2 Months: Day after day, with increasing frustration and discouragement, they call the phones of the Public State Employment Service (SEPE). “You are two months without income and that there is no human voice that responds to you …”. Day after day. No one picks up the phone,” criticizes Dioni Serrano, a journalist in an ERTE since the end of March and who has not yet received unemployment benefits. Like him, many others denounce the delay in the collection of their benefit and the lack of response from the public body, which has faced an unprecedented avalanche of unemployment claims as a result of the coronavirus crisis. UK pubs reopening will be quiet: Landlords have been told to BAN singing, shouting and loud music as it ‘spreads coronavirus’. Authorities explain loud music causes people to shout so to be heard, unfortunately propelling moisture particles and the viruses they can contain across greater distances than a normal conversation would. What’s On

Tell them you saw it on DigameXtra!

Kitty Harri’s Sculpture Garden – Opening by appointment- June 21st: The Garden will be opening on Sunday June 21st, however with some limitations on numbers and, of course, distancing. Please note that for the time being the Garden may NOT BE OPEN regularly on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, as previously.
Please contact us to make an appointment and please accept our apologies if we have to limit the duration of your visit in order to permit others to enter, but this will be dependent on the level of enquiries.
Private visits on weekdays are encouraged as this will minimise interaction with others and you will likely have the Garden to yourselves.
For those who have forgotten about us through the recent ‘quiet period’, there are many, many sculptures by a wide variety of international artists set within a lush tropical garden and there is usually live Baroque Chamber Music to add to your enjoyment.
There are many places to sit, relax and appreciate the views inside and out.
Only 20 minutes from Almuñécar. Directions on the website.
We hope to see you again soon.

Even so, not all the animals were as pleased to see visitors again as Julieta. Species such as chimpanzees, orangutans, and other apes and primates at the Bioparc, tend to be more interested in what visitors are doing, while others such as Rokan, the male Sumatran tiger, didn’t seem nearly as happy about seeing new faces after so many weeks with no humans threatening his territory.

Does anyone know for sure if Jack’s Bar in Torrox is still open?: Apparently, after posting this cryptic FB message, Jack’s Bar in Torrox Costa may have closed down. “We just want to say till we meet again it was a blast to the wonderful people we met and know to this day take care God bless we wish everyone the best in the future Regards jacks,” Jack’s FB post said. Which was soon followed by the message, “It ant over yet.” Confusing?
However their terrace has been cleared and their sign is down. A message sent to Jack’s asking for clarification went unanswered. Anyone know what the situation is?

Telephone appointments to continue at public health centres: A visit to the doctor at the local public health centre isn’t going be the same as it was before the pandemic. The Andalusian health service, SAS, has decided to keep in place the initial telephone filter when a patient requests an appointment. This was introduced during the coronavirus outbreak. Staff at the district health centres will be the ones to decide if a patient needs to physically come into the surgery or if a solution can be given over the phone. Source:

Episode of UK sitcom Fawlty Towers pulled over racist slurs: One of the most memorable episodes of one of the most popular British sitcoms of all-time has been withdrawn from a U.K. streaming service because of numerous racial slurs.
The removal of the “Don’t mention the war” episode by UKTV follows the decision by HBO Max to temporarily remove the 1939 civil war epic “Gone With The Wind” because of its “racial depictions.”
The BBC has also withdrawn its popular sketch show “Little Britain” because “times have changed” since the comedy first aired in the early 2000s. The series has come under fire because of the use of blackface in some sketches. Full story: https://apnews.com/1bb71fee8fcdc551af3da67e483d7df4

Spain’s Mercadona Adds New “Pull- Don’t Push” Rule to Shopping: The latest rule requires shopping trolleys “to be turned around – in reverse – at the till,”  pulling it along behind you. “This measure will make it easier for customers to put their goods safely in the till area to be scanned by the cashier, whilst helping to maintain an adequate distance between the customer in front,” said Mercadona. Government Tells Brits Not to Take Hand Luggage on Flights: The UK government has released new guidance this morning for Brits looking to travel abroad in the coming months, which advises all travellers should wear masks and check in suitcases.
The new rules will mean that passengers will not be allowed to take hand luggage on board their flight. Most airlines charge additional fees for putting luggage in the hold. At this point in time, it is unclear whether these fees will be waived. Full story: https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2020/06/11/breaking-government-tells-brits-not-to-take-hand-luggage-on-flights/

Ryanair will resume flights to and from Andalucian airports in Spain from July 1: Ryanair’s summer 2020 calendar in Andalucia will operate 43 routes to Sevilla, 69 routes to Malaga, five routes to Almeria and two routes to Jerez. Some of the connections will be available from June 21. If you have prepaid reservations from before the lockdown be sure to confirm these, do not rely on the airlines to correctly update their records or you may risk disappointment. Spanish Police Shut Down Pirate IPTV Operation With Two Million Subscribers: With help from Europol and law enforcement in Canada, the US and several European countries, 11 suspects were arrested. The authorities also confiscated property worth nearly €5 million while another €1.1 in bank assets were frozen.
In recent years, unlicensed TV subscriptions have been flourishing, with hundreds of vendors offering virtually any channel imaginable for a small monthly fee.
This is seen as a major threat by copyright holders and law enforcement authorities are also taking the matter seriously. That became apparent again today, as law enforcement authorities announced one of the largest IPTV busts in history.
In an operation led by Spain’s National Police, law enforcement agencies across Europe claim to have “switched off” a massive pirate IPTV operation. The investigation, which started last year, resulted in 15 house searches and 11 people – including the suspected leader – were arrested.
As is often the case, authorities haven’t named the prime suspects or connected services.
With many IPTV services using similar names things can get confusing but Rapid IPTV is certainly a large player. Also, several of Rapid IPTV’s services were indeed shut off about a week ago when the raids were carried out. Microsoft & Amazon Help Rioters Avoid Identification, ban police face recognition tools sales as Big Tech reacts to protests: The announcement came a day after rival Amazon.com Inc declared it was pausing police use of its “Rekognition” service for a year, while International Business Machines Corp also said this week it no longer is generally offering the software and that technology should not promote racial injustice. (So now capturing arsonists and looters is “racial injustice”? These tech companies are not nearly as generous if they think you are pirating their software! -Ed.)

Statues fall as UK reexamines its past:
EDWARD COLSTON- The toppling of a statue of the 17th-century slave trader in the port city of Bristol on Sunday reignited debate in Britain about who deserves a permanent public memorial.
HENRY DUNDAS- Campaigners want his statue removed from atop its column in Edinburgh’s St. Andrew Square. There are also calls to rename Dundas Street, a major thoroughfare in the Canadian city of Toronto. The late 18th-century Scottish politician was responsible for delaying Britain’s abolition of the slave trade by 15 years until 1807.
ROBERT MILLIGAN- Authorities in London this week removed a statue of Milligan, an 18th-century merchant, who owned two sugar plantations in Jamaica with more than 500 slaves, from its perch in the city’s docklands.
ROBERT BADEN-POWELL- Officials plan to remove a statue of the founder of the Scouts movement from the quayside in Poole, southern England, out of concern it may be a target for protesters. Like many Englishmen of his time, Baden-Powell held racist views. He also expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler.
WILLIAM GLADSTONE- Some have called for the removal of statues of, the reforming 19th-century prime minister whose father was one of the biggest slave-owners in the British West Indies.

EU urges states to reopen domestic borders from Monday: The European Union on Thursday urged all it’s member countries to start lifting travel restrictions on their common borders from next week, saying that the closures they introduced to tackle the coronavirus do little to limit its spread.
The EU’s executive arm, the European Commission, wants Europe’s ID check-free travel area to be up and running again by the end of June. Once that has happened, a ban on nonessential travel to the continent can also gradually be eased. Full story: https://apnews.com/e14ee85901a1eeb26ef1b5d1bb46cae4

This is the Marko System, the Spanish proposal for the new normality to be installed in festivals: Josan Serrano, founding partner and director of Montgorock Xàbia Festival, which a few weeks ago, in the midst of chaos, presented the Marko System, a new festival format divided by 150-square-meter plots with capacity for 50 people seeking institutional endorsement.
Serrano has patented a structure that would have access temperature controls, an individual cleaning and disinfection system, and access control by plots. The toilets would be placed in a row on both sides of the enclosure and each area would be assigned a number of services. In addition, a shared bar service would be offered every four plots without physical contact with the other spaces. And to reduce the risk, its author assures that even the drinks would be covered “as in Starbucks”. Quantum ‘fifth state of matter’ observed in space for first time: Scientists have observed the fifth state of matter in space for the first time, offering unprecedented insight that could help solve some of the quantum universe’s most intractable conundrums, research showed Thursday.
Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) — the existence of which was predicted by Albert Einstein and Indian mathematician Satyendra Nath Bose almost a century ago — are formed when atoms of certain elements are cooled to near absolute zero (0 Kelvin, minus 273.15 Celsius).
On Thursday a team of NASA scientists unveiled the first results from BEC experiments aboard the International Space Station, where particles can be manipulated free from Earthly constraints. Full story: https://www.spacedaily.com/afp/200611090324.f35eunqb.html

Pet ID Suggestion From Silvia and Mario, the dog handlers: Hello readers of Digamextra, yesterday I have seen the photo of a lost puppy, as a dog sitter, I want to recommend to people who have pets, cats and / or dogs, in addition to the vet putting the chip on them, it is VERY IMPORTANT that the owners make him a nameplate, which is attached to the collar, with his phone and the name of the animal. From experience, I have seen or have been called by desperate people looking for their pets, if they have the identification badge, the person who finds it, can immediately call the owner, but in the event that they only have the chip. It is more complicated, since the person who found this pet, has to go to a veterinarian so that they can pass the reader and then locate the owner, I have seen cases of dogs that have returned them after many months, because people They found them, they didn’t have a vet nearby, and they spent months caring for the pet until they went to a vet. PLEASE!!!! If you love your pet, put the visible identification tag on the collar!
Silvia, El Morche, silviacaminante @ gmail . com
(I got mine from the jewelry booth on the Torrox Costa Paseo Maritimo. Not sure if they have reopened. Custom engraved, double sided, “bone shaped” dogtag with H/D ring to attach tag to collar in 5mins for €8. -Ed.)

Scandal over Covid-19 deaths at Madrid nursing homes sparks fierce political row: Regional and central government officials have warned of legal consequence after EL PAÍS revealed that internal protocols excluded some coronavirus patients from hospital admission. Madrid premier Díaz Ayuso and her health chief, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, have said in public that there were no orders to exclude certain dependents and people with disabilities from hospital admission, and that the document that reached care homes was a draft sent by mistake.
But several internal emails seen by EL PAÍS show that a senior official at the regional health department, Carlos Mur de Víu, signed the triage protocols and had them sent to 475 residences in the region. These guidelines, which were used by hospitals and residences to refuse the transfer of certain patients; children and grandchildren of these patients say that regional authorities sacrificed their relatives. Children Aged 10 or Younger in Spain Will Not Have to Socially Distance at School: Children have been highlighted in the debate surrounding coronavirus as dangerous transmitters because although they do not typically suffer from the virus, they can unknowingly pass it along to someone who will. Consumer Tech Prices On The Rise: With the shipping routes shut by C-19 travel restrictions, tech items are in short supply. Most of the computers and parts listed for sale on Amazon are “out of stock”. With fewer customers, possibly higher cost of goods sold, and all the fixed costs of complying with social distancing rules, such consumer-facing businesses will be lucky if they can keep from burning through cash — unless they raise their prices substantially. Data services are under a greater than normal use as people spend more time working and entertaining themselves online. Hundreds of thousands of Sky customers can expect to be hit with price hikes of up to £72 for broadband and TV from August. Reference:

Up to 30,000 furloughed workers in Spain will have to return money after government blunder: The banks are reportedly “indignant” at having to go from client to client demanding the return of hundreds of euros.
Banks are already warning furloughed workers who have enough money on their account that they are going to deduct the difference between what was transferred on behalf of the SEPE and what they were actually entitled to. El Confidential’s financial sources say this could affect 20,000-30,000 people. The institutions are said to be concerned because the returns could be between €500 and €1,000 on average, and many may have already spent the money. Full story:

EU finance ministers examine recovery plan amid deep divisions: European Union finance ministers reviewed the EU’s 750 billion euro plan for post-pandemic recovery on Tuesday ahead of what will be fractious negotiations over who should get the cash and even over the legality of borrowing to offer grants. This, according to Finland, the Netherlands, Austria, Denmark and Sweden, could violate the principle that the EU cannot incur debt and that its EU budget cannot run a deficit. Some also argue that, since all countries can borrow cheaply on the market, there is no need for EU grants at all. Cheap loans would be enough, they say.

Charging a COVID supplement to customers is illegal: FACUA-Consumer Association has announced this Tuesday the illegality of charging a COVID supplement for the expenses entailed by employers complying with the measures dictated by the Government, and has assured that informing the user of this does not make this surcharge legal.
In a statement, it has been reported that an increasing number of establishments in different sectors of activity, with the excuse that they have an increase in their expenses as a result of adopting the measures dictated by the Government, are applying what they call surcharge, rate or supplement. Brexit Hotline

The Spanish government has a hotline to answer all queries from Brits living in Spain about the implications of Brexit, in English. Callers can ring 060 when in Spain or +34 902 887060 if calling from abroad and an automated system will offer the choice of either Spanish or English.
You will then be offered a choice of information on the different issues.
The service also offers the option of speaking to an operator for those requiring further information or with a specific query not dealt with by the automated options. Source: https://www.thelocal.es/20200218/spain-launches-dedicated-brexit-hotline
