SPAIN
PP accuses Interior Minister Marlaska of being “a bad copy of the Stasi” for “wanting to control” Spaniards with the registration of travelers, receives blatant lies in response: {Translation}
– The PP deputy Mirian Guardiola has accused the Minister of Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, of “wanting to control” the Spaniards with the new registration of travelers, which has assured that it does not benefit either citizens or the tourism sector.
– In the session of control to the Government of the plenary of the Congress of this Wednesday, the popular deputy has affirmed that the Executive is acting as a “police state” with this measure, which came into force last December 2, and has emphasized that they are asking for “more than 40 personal data”.
– For his part, Marlaska has defended the need for the regulation, aimed at “fighting terrorism and organized crime”, and, therefore, “it will benefit us all”. The measure “does not affect the privacy and intimacy of any citizen”, stressed the minister before branding as “falsehoods” the accusations made by the PP. {Here they are again, claiming you can trust the gov’t to secure your most sensitive private data. Absolute hogwash! Any info entered into that traveller registry should be considered public knowledge.-Ed.}
– According to the data presented by the Minister of the Interior, some 18,000 people who had been flagged have been identified since the launching of the new registry, whose objective is to “attack criminal actions and guarantee security”.
– However, in the opinion of the PP deputy, the regulation violates the European regulation of data protection and the Spanish Constitution itself, and has asserted that “no country of the European Union” asks for such data.
– “You are the worst minister in history. You came as a magistrate and have ended up being a bad copy of the Stasi”, Guardiola said.
– Contrary to the PP claims {and contrary to the facts, anyone can go see there are more than 13 data requirements on the official register website, in previous articles I’ve posted 43 were listed}, Marlaska concluded by denying that more than thirteen personal data will be requested, and recalled that “more than two years” have been left to the tourism sector to adapt to the new requirements. {This minister is either knowingly lying, or has not even bothered to look at the register forms. Is he incompetent, or a tool of the globalists? -Ed.} Source, Spanish: https://www.20minutos.es/noticia/5662753/0/pp-acusa-marlaska-querer-controlar-espanoles-registro-viajeros/

The Supreme Court forces ‘mobile homes’ to have an urban planning license: {Translation}
– The Supreme Court has established that the ‘mobile homes’ or mobile homes need an urban planning license because they are similar to a prefabricated house and not a trailer.
– The Contentious-Administrative Chamber has dismissed the appeal of Agrocamping S.L. against the judgment of the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia that confirmed a decree of the City Council of Tarragona which denied the legalization of the placement of ‘mobile homes’ in the campsite run by the company.
– The company considered them akin to trailers or motor homes, but for the court it is not a correct relation because the design is incompatible with its use as a towable vehicle, so that “its relation should be done with the prefabricated house and not with the trailer”.
– The Chamber says that the requirement of a urban planning license is justified in an imperative reason of general interest such as the protection of the environment and the urban environment. Thus, it will be the town planning regulations applicable in each case that legitimize the installation of mobile homes in a campsite, “without the installation being covered by the activity license that may have been obtained previously since this license, as the Tarragona City Council rightly points out, does not have the function of carrying out town planning control of land use, but to ensure that the activity is carried out without causing a nuisance”.
– On the other hand, the Supreme Court points out that the company’s intention was to transform its camping business into a ‘resort’ type facility, providing the plots with water, electricity and drainage services in order to place ‘mobile homes’ and ‘bungalows’ on them. The sentence answers that resort means hotel complex, so that the intended transformation with the placement of the ‘mobile homes’ on existing land in undeveloped land involves a land use that requires planning permission.
– {Well, now I have my answer regarding turning a campground into a mini-home retirement community. Each unit needs it’s own permit, or the whole site must be considered a resort/hotel; evidently you can’t create a community of individuals with shared resources, unless you can drive or tow away the living units. -Ed.}

The court rejects the Prosecutor’s appeal and maintains the summons of Sánchez’s brother and the leader of the Extremadura PSOE: {Translation, summary}
– The Court of Instruction number 3 of Badajoz has issued an order by which it
rejects the appeal filed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office requesting to block the summons of the accused brother of Pedro Sánchez, David Sánchez {pic}, and the president of the Provincial Council of Badajoz, Miguel Gallardo. They are under investigation for several crimes of corruption related to the obtaining and exercise of the position of senior manager of David Azagra in the provincial institution of Badajoz.

COSTA DEL SOL
Costa del Sol coastline under yellow warning for heavy rain thru Thursday:
– For Thursday, the {heavy rain} warning is concentrated on the Costa del Sol and Malaga City, again, with the possibility of accumulated rainfall of 15mm in a short period of time. This alert will remain active until 6pm on Thursday.
– “{It is projected that…} in one particular area, just three kilometres in a straight line from the coast to the weather front, there is expected rainfall of between 60 and 70mm. Therefore, if it were to hit land at some point, which could happen, it would most likely be in the area around Fuengirola, due to the orography,” explained José Luis Escudero, an expert in Malaga meteorology. MALAGA PROVINCE
A roving gang specialized in home burglaries in Malaga and Algeciras, which had one of its bases in Algarrobo, is captured: {Translation}
– The National Police has dismantled an itinerant criminal group of Croatian origin specialized in burglaries, thanks to a joint operation between the police stations of Malaga and Algeciras. The investigation, which began after a robbery in the town of Cádiz on July 25, led to the arrest of six people, the search of two homes and the recovery of a large amount of stolen property, including jewelry, money in different currencies, safes and specialized tools for breaking and entering locks.
– The case began with a burglary at a home in Algeciras, which led to the
identification of four people involved and the vehicle used in the crime. After a tracking device, the agents located the house rented by the suspects and proceeded to arrest them. Once authorized the entry and search by the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Algeciras, were found in the house jewelry, luxury handbags, cash and tools linked to at least four robberies in recent weeks.
– Expansion of the investigation to Malaga. At the same time, the National Police in Malaga identified other members of the criminal group operating in their area. After a surveillance device, two people were arrested ‘in fraganti’ carrying a complete kit for the technique of ‘impressioning’ – which allows one to open locks without leaving a trace – as well as tools for the technique of ‘slipping’.
– A second search, authorized by the Examining Magistrate’s Court on duty in Malaga, was carried out in a rented house in the town of Algarrobo. More jewelry, money and illicit effects were recovered.
– A professional and organized criminal group. The investigations have confirmed that the detainees operated as an itinerant group, divided into small cells of 2 or 3 people, mostly women, who acted strategically. These cells selected uninhabited homes during the day, focusing their interest on jewelry, cash, clothing and cosmetics. The group also used false documents, a logistical network for transportation and lodging, and resources for the surveillance and handling of the stolen goods, which is evidence of their high degree of organization and experience.
– The six detainees, involved in at least eight robberies in Algeciras and Malaga, were taken to court. The Duty Court ordered them to be remanded in custody. The National Police does not rule out the link of the group with other robberies in the region and keeps open investigations. Blanket of snow covers Malaga province’s highest mountain: {Summary}
– Spain’s state weather agency forecast for Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 December predicted snow on the highest peaks of Malaga province and the Aemet prediction has been fulfilled.
– From Vélez-Málaga and the Axarquía coastal towns of Nerja and Torre del Mar, the peak of La Maroma (2,069 metres above sea level) and other high spots in the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama mountain range can be seen with a thin white layer of snow. – Aemet has set the snow level for today at around 1,300 to 1,400 metres above sea level, mainly in mountain ranges near the coast in the eastern part of the province. By tomorrow it will rise to 1,500-1,600 metres and could also extend to Los Montes de Málaga, El Torcal and Sierra Bermeja.
– There are still ten days to go before the astronomical arrival of winter, although the meteorological winter began on 1 December. Temperatures are currently below normal but are forecast to rise again from Saturday 14 December. VÉLEZ-MÁLAGA
Installation of a telephone antenna in Velez-Malaga stopped after complaints from neighbors: {Translation, summary}
– A new neighborhood mobilization in Velez-Malaga to block the work underway to install a cell phone antenna. If last June the residents of Almayate managed to paralyze the actions, this time it is the residents of the neighborhood of Pilar who are mobilizing to try to stop the placement of a pole near their homes, in a ship of paintings, in works that began last Friday.
– The mayor of Velez, Jesús Lupiáñez (PP), has assured through his social networks that he learned “last night of the problem generated by the possible placement of a telephone antenna in the Barrio del Pilar and after the visit and report of the Local Police, I am collecting information in the various departments of the City Council for the purpose of analyzing, with the regulations in force, the legal situation of such action.”
– For their part, residents have begun a collection of signatures and have created a WhatsApp group, in which they are monitoring the situation. “We have gathered neighbors to try to stop the installation because it is harmful to the health of the whole area around, it produces cancers, among other health problems,” said Almudena Moreno, one of the affected neighbors. For Moreno “it is very important that we do not allow this turret to be installed here, or nearby, in the surrounding area. Probably on Thursday morning we will gather in La Loma all the neighbors to protest,” he said. Russia says Ukraine fired US-supplied ATACMS missiles at airfield, vows revenge:
– Russia’s Defence Ministry said that Ukraine had attacked a military airfield in the southern Russian city of Taganrog on Wednesday morning with six U.S.-supplied ATACMS missiles {new, long range missiles that require satellite support directly from NATO members to function, a Putin “red line”} and promised retaliation. The ministry said in a statement that all six missiles had been shot down or intercepted, but that falling missile debris had caused injuries among some personnel.
– “There was no damage, two buildings on the technical territory of the airfield and three military vehicles, as well as civilian cars in the parking lot adjacent to the airfield were slightly damaged (by shrapnel),” the ministry said. “This attack by Western long-range weapons will not go unanswered and appropriate measures will be taken,” it said.

Germany on path for early election after Scholz requests confidence vote:
– German Chancellor Olaf Scholz {pic} sent a request to parliament on Wednesday to hold a vote of confidence on Dec. 16, setting a path to an early federal election
next year after the collapse of his coalition.
– Policymaking in Europe’s biggest economy has largely ground to a halt since Scholz’s fractious coalition of Social Democrats (SPD), Greens and neoliberal Free Democrats (FDP) imploded last month, leaving him heading a minority government.
– If, as expected, Scholz loses the confidence vote, he must then ask the president to dissolve parliament, which would trigger fresh elections. Scholz has agreed with the opposition to hold the election on Feb. 23. Full article: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/germanys-scholz-requests-confidence-vote-path-election-2024-12-11/

Nigel Farage Leads Betting Odds to Become Next British Prime Minister:
– Reform UK leader Nigel Farage {pic} is now the odds on favourite to become the next British prime minister, a leading bookmaker has found. For the first time since it began tracking such odds, the Ladbrokes betting agency revealed Tuesday that Nigel Farage “now heads the betting to become next prime minister.”
– According to the bookmaker, Mr Farage is now favoured in the race with 5/2 odds, equating to a 28.6 per cent chance of becoming the next inhabitant of Number 10 Downing Street.
– In comparison, the recently-installed leader of the so-called Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch currently stands at 3/1 odds, or a 25 per cent chance of becoming the next PM.
– Trailing significantly in third position is incumbent Deputy PM Angela Rayner at 6/1 odds (14.3 per cent) and languishing in a distant fourth place is Health Secretary Wes Streeting with 10/1 odds (9.1 per cent).
– In addition to his increasing odds to become the next prime minister, Farage’s party is also now the odds on favourite to win the most seats in parliament at the next general election. “They’re now into 9/4, having opened at 16/1,” Ladbrokes said. Tractors block central London streets as farmers protest at tax change:
– Hundreds of tractors blocked streets in central London on Wednesday, the latest protest by farmers against the government after it ended an exemption from inheritance tax for agricultural families. The measure, dubbed the “tractor tax” by critics, was introduced by the government to boost funds to pay for strained public services, but farmers say it will destroy family farms and reduce food production.
– Farmers lined their tractors up close to the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday, hoping to convince the government to change course, or face escalating protests. Full article: https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/tractors-block-central-london-streets-farmers-protest-tax-change-2024-12-11/

UnCancelled- Judge Blocks Sale of Alex Jones’ Infowars to The Onion:
– The auction sale of Alex Jones’ Infowars to The Onion satirical news outlet was rejected late Tuesday night by a judge who criticized the bidding process as flawed while questioning the amount of money families of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary shooting stood to receive. After a two-day hearing, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez of Houston ruled an auction for Infowars did not result in the best bids possible.
– The decision not to approve the sale means Jones {pic} can stay at his Infowars
headquarters in Austin, Texas. The Onion had planned to kick Jones out and relaunch Infowars in January as a parody. The Onion offered $1.75 million in cash and other incentives for Infowars’ assets in the auction. First United American Companies, which runs a website in Jones’ name that sells nutritional supplements, bid $3.5 million.
– Jones, who did not attend the proceedings, quickly went back on the air to applaud the judge’s decision. “We can celebrate the judge doing the right thing with the most ridiculous, fraudulent auction known in human history,” he said.
