Wood Fired Oven Cookery Course: Join us in a superb mountain location in the Alpujarras for a full one day wood fired oven cookery course. Great ‘hands on’ experience using a large wood fired oven. We will be cooking a variety of food, from bread and sweet dishes to baked vegetables and a curry. The day will include a tour of our garden (also open to the public on Fridays and other specified days) and will culminate with a group meal enjoying the proceeds of our labours. Home for dog: I found this little dog last Saturday in Alcaucin, the little dog looked like it had been dumped, had string around it’s little neck, I have looked after her but I can’t keep her long term as I have a dog already, the rescue centres I have contacted can’t take her as they are full? Help for a rescue: I wondered if there is anyone in Digame land who would be so kind as to lend me a live trap in order that I might capture a feral cat who is the mother to 3 newborn kittens (there were 4, one died before their rescue could take place). Although the kittens are safe at present, I still feel the best carer for them is their natural mother. It would be lovely to have her reunited with her babies. If you can help by temporarily providing a live trap, it would be very much appreciated.

Information re: Car Boot at El Pantano (Lake Vinuela). To all interested parties, the monthly Car Boot/Market scheduled for Sunday 7th April, at El Pantano car Park, Lake Vinuela, went ahead as planned. It was cold but no rain. We did not need to invoke the default re-schedule plans regarding bad weather. As we all know, the weather here is very localised and whilst it might be pouring with rain in Nerja, it can be calm and sunny in Velez Malaga.
We have received many calls and texts from enquirers who thought that we may have postponed until next Sunday (14th), but there was no need. Weather was OK.

Easter Holiday CHAOS: ALL Spanish airports may face indefinite strike from April 20. Holidaymakers are facing flight chaos because of a massive strike by 60,000 ground handling staff set to go ahead over the holiday period. Flight industry unions in Spain say they are still willing to negotiate over pay and conditions but if no agreement is reached, they are calling for a walkout from Easter Saturday, April 20th. The strike would affect all Spanish airports, the unions have confirmed.

DELAYED: Flamenco Series in Malagalingo delayed to the month of May. Our teacher Alicia Rojo will be very busy this April with performances, including her performance on Saturday the 13th at the Teatro de Torrox, of which we attach a poster. And it is for this reason that she has asked us to delay the Flamenco cycle in Malagalingo until the month of May. Thank you all and we look forward you in May.

Workshop Dot Painting on Rocks: Hello everyone, Wednesday morning 10th of April I’m organising a workshop ‘Dot Painting On Rocks’ at my place (close to Velez-Malaga).
During this workshop I’ll learn you:
* what you need to paint beautiful dots,
* how to mix your paint AND
* how to paint beautiful hypnotising mandala’s on rocks
At the end of the workshop you’ll go home with your first beautiful dotted rocks and a starters kit to continue your new hobby at home.
