I missed the recent shocks, we live near to Canillas de Aceituno and perhaps the tremors didn’t affect us. If anyone is interested in keeping up to speed with quakes either locally or worldwide Bill Padley on Talk Radio Europe spoke about an App he uses on his Iphone, LastQuake.So i thought i would give it a try. It’s excellent and It’s free to download from the App Store, easy to use and quite scary to see how frequently quakes are happening.

Recent Earthquake Swarm In Med North of Morocco
All recent quakes are centered around Al Hoceima, Morocco.
1 quake at 7:32am Wednesday, 4.9 mag.
10 quakes yesterday, 6.3 to 4.2 mag
1 quake 6 days ago 5.1 mag.
Then last local quakes before that were 29 Oct15 in Albox,
Spain 3.2 mag. and Palafrugell, Spain 3.8 mag.
No local quakes for 6 months previous to that.
To summarize:

12 earthquakes in the past 7 days
12 earthquakes in the past month
18 earthquakes in the past year

Recommendation – Alex & John – Transport
I would like to show my appreciation to Alex and John who moved my very heavy furniture and copious amounts of tat from a very difficult location to Torrox last week.
This was no small feat.
They arrived on time every day and it was just heads down and get on with it for three days.
Plenty of humour injected to ease the pain and stress!
My furniture and precious goods arrived safely without a scratch.
These guys have delivered things for me before and I have always been very impressed at how carefully they look after my stuff.

What’s on – Question – Excercise Club ?
Is there an excersise class in the Torrox costa area or any village close by, late afternoons or in the evenings, preferably not zumba as it is a bit too energetic and my back and my heart wouldnt stand the pace. A bit of dancing would also be ok, line dancing etc… as I am turning into a couch potato with a stomach bigger than a 5 kilo sack!!

Walking Poles – Suggestion
A couple of weeks ago they had decent walking poles for sale at Competa´s Saturday market. I don´t know the price, but surely not expensive and probably negotiable!
They can also be found for a few Euros, I am told, at the Chinese bazaar in Competa. May not be best quality, but the person I met who´d bought them used them for the whole of the Walking Festival week at least!

The text of the email should be what you’d like to see published – but note:

If your first attempt to sell fails, note that a second attempt will not be allowed unless the original price is reduced considerably, nor for at least 2 weeks later.
Photos will only be published once.
