Home Needed – Tiny. White Kitten

This white little cutie of 2,5 month needs a loving home. We found her in an empty pool with no chance of getting out there by herself. Because of her poor condition she had to stay with the vet for a week. Back to strength she now is in a foster home, but cannot stay there for long. Services – Head Lamp Conversion
I couldn’t find any headlamp converters anywhere in Spain or France prior to taking a Spanish reg car to the UK 4 years ago. No problem though, they are available when you get off the ferry at motor-spares shops. Halfords will even help you to fit them correctly.
Short term use of headlamp converters should be ok. However, I was travelling France and Spain for a year recently, in a Transit based Motor home with headlamp converters stuck on.
Back to the UK for MOT and on removing said stick-ons the plastic headlamp cover was damaged. Tiny stress type marks, some on the inside of the cover. The MOT tester said it was a borderline pass this time. He’s seen it before where converters have been in place for a long time.
The plastic covers get very hot, especially on full beam and the stuck-on converter acts as an insulator in that area and the heat builds up enough to cause damage. Of course, this doesn’t happen with glass headlamps!
The easy way to remove converters is to switch full beam on and the heat softens the glue so they can be peeled off. Then allow the cover to cool before removing the residual glue, carefully, with WD40. Then wash the WD40 off,

What Wasn’t On….Viñuela Sunday Market
Due to the early morning wet and windy weather at Lake Vinuela today (Sunday 7th), the normal monthly Car Boot/Market. Unfortunately had to be cancelled at short notice.

Musicians invited to David Bowie tribute night at AliOli bar 19th Feb
Since the sad demise of the extremely talented David Bowie we will be holding a tribute to his music and his life at the AliOli bar in Competa on Friday 19th February.
Any musicians out there who would like to come along and perform a song or two from his vast repertoire are more than welcome.
It will be a mainly acoustic event but a small PA system will be available.

We have just returned from vacation to find that some thieving individuals have broken in to our house and stolen among other things all my electric power tools. So before I hot foot it down to Leroy Merlin, I wondered if anyone has some they wish to sell.
Specifically I am looking for:

Wanted – Kindling
Can anyone please tell me where we can get proper kindling from?
We keep looking but can’t find any, even where we get our logs they sold us a bag of what they called “fire starter wood” but it is not really kindling and is very hard work to get the fire going with it.
