Cat Needs Home
A few months ago someone dumped their young kitten in our street to live with our street-cats. He was accepted by the street cats but because he was used to live with people before, he was reaching out to everyone and getting kicked and messed with. I took him in, got him vaccinated, and tried finding him a home. He was taken in by a lady, but unfortunately brought back again because she was not allowed to have animals in her rented apartment. I got him neutered 2 weeks ago so he is all ready to go to a new family. He is a very sweet and kind approx 10 month old male. In the meantime I tried everything to find him a new home. But unfortunately with no luck. The problem is I can not keep him in my house any longer..it has been 2 months now and I have daily fighting going on with my other 2 lady cats. One of my other cats is so stressed out that she is vomiting a lot. The last thing I want is to put back him back on the street, but I can not keep him longer myself. Monique mwahlers@live.nl
Warning A few days ago I had bought something quite valuable in Malaga and then went to IKEA to have lunch, and do some more shopping. I got back to the car with my friend unlocked it and went on my way. Later on I went to help myself to some sweets I kept in the glove pocket and they were missing. I thought nothing of it until I arrived home and started to unpack the car and discovered my valuable item was missing as well. So was the loose change I kept for parking fees.
I have been told since of instances where people have gained access to cars in Malaga by cloning the signal from a key controller. This is where the thief uses a receiver to pick up the signal your key generates, and then after you have left the area transmits the same signal to your car unlocking it. I would advise people parking in Malaga to lock your car using the door lock and key properly to avoid transmitting a signal which can be intercepted. Unlocking your car with the controller is of course not a problem if you’re going to drive away from the area. Bearing in mind there was no forced entry, and the claim would affect my insurance premium I have accepted I’m €450 poorer. I hope this advice prevents you from being the same. Victor
Help –Shock. Horror! Gallo Roja ? A very popular and favourite restaurant of ours in Torre del Mar, is now no longer there! Gallo Rojo (Red Rooster) was about 50 metres from the Paseo, lighthouse end. I think it was on Avda. Dr. Maranon. Antonio the Spanish owner, had run the restaurant for many, many years attracting regular clientele through all seasons. His wife ran the kitchen. Food was excellent. Good variety and very sensibly priced. Does anyone out there know if Antonio has retired or if he has moved to another location? I feel sure that there will be a lot of other people out there, scratching their heads and wondering as they look at the reforming going on. There is already a new owner name on the toldos.
