Recommendation of Car Clean Malaga: On Tuesday, we received back the car that had been with Warren of Car Clean Malaga for treatment.
We have been most impressed with
1. The punctuality. Times given were adhered to.
2. The price quoted & charged.
3. We were kept in touch with the progress of the process.
4. Warren’s honesty in explaining if he was not happy with a result
& question if he should go ahead with the remedy.
The results on a 15year old car are far more than we anticipated.
The car is gleaming; paintwork, headlights, wheels, interior & boot.
Everything is to a standard greater than expected.
We would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who wants their
car brought back to a pristine condition.
You can contact Warren at Whatsapp 618 346 098

Tax rises for high earners, a VAT hike for sugary drinks… Here are the changes included in Spain’s 2021 budget: The Spanish government has included a cocktail of fiscal measures in the 2021 budget, which has just been definitively approved by the Senate.
-Income tax (IRPF). The government has included a two-point rise in tax rates for earned income exceeding €300,000 a year, and of three points for capital income above €200,000.
-Sales tax (VAT). The budget includes a VAT rise for sugary and sweetened drinks, which will now be subject to a 21% rate compared to the current 10%.
-Excluded from the 2021 budget, meanwhile, is the planned reduction on VAT rates for feminine hygiene products and veterinarian services.
-Wealth tax. Another change contained in the budget is the indefinite introduction of wealth tax.
-Pension plans. The government will be reducing tax relief on contributions to individual pension plans. The maximum limit for deductions on contributions made over the fiscal year will fall from €8,000 to €2,000. For collective plans, however, the limit will rise from €8,000 to €10,000.
-Insurance premiums. The 2021 budget also includes a rise from 6% to 8% on the rate applied to insurance premiums.

Golden Leaves Funeral Plans:
Pre-planning your funeral is a thoughtful and responsible way to show you care about your family.
Funerals are no easy task. There are numerous considerations to factor in, including logistics, food and drink, casket purchase and burial grounds. A loved one’s death brings immense emotional strain to any family, and the question of financing and arrangements only exacerbates the stress.
Handling all of these challenges is difficult enough in one’s normal circumstances, but having to go through it while abroad is an enormous burden.

Tip from a Reader: UK ‘home fees’ for British students in Spain who wish to study in the UK. Until recently, the position of UK nationals living in Spain who wish to study in the UK has been uncertain. At one time, it had appeared that after Brexit, the children of UK nationals in Spain would have to pay overseas university fees which are far more expensive than the home fees and that there would be no access to UK student loans. The only way around this would have been for the prospective student to reside in the UK for 3 years in order to achieve the residence requirements.
Fortunately however, this has now all changed. On 11th August this year, the UK government advised that UK nationals living in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland would continue to be eligible for UK home fees and student grants for courses up to the end of 2027. The requisite conditions are (a) that the person was ordinarily resident in the EEA or Switzerland on Dec 31st 2020, and (b) they have been ordinarily resident in the EEA or Switzerland continuously since that date and for the three years before beginning the course in the UK.
Apparently, the latter condition does permit a gap year outside of Europe as long as that doesn’t constitute a permanent move out of the EEA. The above also covers those children who are not themselves UK nationals as long their parents meet the requisite conditions.

More than 350,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine arrive in Spain as mass immunization campaign begins: With a day of delay, the first 350,000 doses of the Pfizer and BioNTech Covid-19 vaccines arrived in Spain on Tuesday, as the mass immunization campaign got underway after a symbolic administration of the vaccine across all of the country’s regions on Sunday. The containers with the vaccine arrived by plane on Tuesday at airports in Madrid, Barcelona, Vitoria, Valencia and Seville, from where they were distributed to the rest of the regions, according to a statement from the Health Ministry. Tony Rice, bluegrass flatpicking master, dies aged 69, guitarists pay tribute: Rice died on Christmas morning at his home in Reidsville, North Carolina. News of his death was shared via the International Bluegrass Music Association on social media.
“It is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to one of the most iconic voices & musicians in bluegrass,” the statement reads.
“Few will ever match his skill & influence. Rest in Peace, Tony.”
Rice was renowned for his fluid, melodious flatpicking on his Martin D-28, which influenced scores of acoustic guitarists who followed, including the likes of Jason Isbell, Ricky Skaggs and Billy Strings.
“Tony Rice was the single most influential acoustic guitar player in the last 50 years,” Skaggs wrote on Facebook. “Many if not all of the bluegrass guitar players of today would say that they cut their teeth on Tony Rice’s music. He loved hearing the next generation players play his licks. I think that’s where he got most of his joy as a player.”
As well as releasing a number of albums under his own name, Rice was a prolific collaborator, whether as a member of the David Grisman Quintet, or playing with the likes of Jerry Garcia and Dolly Parton. The Board extends the current restrictions in Andalusia until January 10: {Translated from https://sevilla.abc.es} Updated: 12/28/2020 21:47
-The Board has announced the extension of the current restriction measures in Andalusia after the evaluation of the High Impact Alert Committee, which has recommended maintaining the current restrictions against the coronavirus, although it has called for prudence before the end of the year. .
-In a statement, the Ministry of Health and Family has indicated that the High Impact Public Health Alert Committee of Andalusia has met this afternoon and has recommended extending these measures over the next few days thanks to the stability that marks the epidemiological evolution in the region.
-In any case, the Ministry of Health and Family of the Junta de Andalucía carries out a continuous and daily assessment of the epidemiological and clinical data, and on January 4 an assessment will be made by the technical groups for decision-making. before January 10th.
-Given the imminent celebration of the end of the year and the beginning of 2021, the also known as the committee of experts “wants to send a message of prudence to the entire Andalusian population, stressing their duty to rigorously comply with the established norms and without forgetting the measures hygienic-sanitary that are key to overcoming the pandemic”.
-This extension of the measures was advanced this morning by the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, who announced that his Government will maintain the same restrictions due to the covid-19 that are in force at least during this week, since the data indicate that they are “reasonable” based on the infections that are occurring.
-“Previous reports indicate that it will not be necessary to make changes at least this week,” the Andalusian president has advanced, adding that the community “has arrived at the beginning of Christmas with a reasonable rate and hospital situation, always with regard to worry and hope.
-For this reason he has asked “not to stop being cautious and not to lower your guard”, in addition to having “great respect for the virus, because there are hard months ahead and the utmost prudence and responsibility are needed.” Source, Spanish: https://sevilla.abc.es/andalucia/sevi-junta-prorroga-medidas-restriccion-hasta-10-enero-202012282144_noticia.html

Andalusia adds 567 coronavirus infections, second best Monday in three months: {Translated from https://sevilla.abc.es} Updated: 12/28/2020 19:57
-The contagions of coronavirus in Andalusia have receded notably. However, it does not seem a consequence of the beginning of the administration of the drug, since Mondays tend to show low data on infections, as a result of the under-notification on Sundays.
-In this way, Andalusia has added 567 new infections this Monday coronavirus, in the line of last Monday when they were detected, from the closest to the most distant 520, 718 and 714 new cases. This is the second best data for a Monday since September.
-Most of the infections continue to occur in the province of Cádiz , where 126 new infections have been added . It is followed by Malaga, with 108. These are the only two provinces that exceed the barrier of one hundred positives this Monday and, in addition, together they account for 42 percent of the total cases in the community . Behind are Seville (77 infections); Almeria (60); Jaén (60); Granada (50); Cordoba (48); and Huelva (36).
-On the other hand, Andalusia has exceeded 5,000 deaths from coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. The community broke this barrier on December 26, but until this Monday the Ministry of Health and Families had not updated the data of the last days. Thus, this Monday the total balance of deaths from Covid-19 in Andalusia is 5,070 people, 34 more than yesterday .
-It should be noted that the Board has notified 1,183 people this Monday cured of coronavirus , almost twice as many as people infected. Furthermore, since the start of the health crisis, 228,887 Andalusians have already recovered.
-With these data, Andalusia has decreased since December 24, the last day that data were updated on the portal of the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA), its incidence rate of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days up to 135.1.
-Meanwhile, the pressure in Andalusian hospitals rises slightly this Monday. Thus, according to data from the Ministry of Health, in Andalusia there are 1,016 admitted for Covid-19 this Monday , 13 more than yesterday. However, there are 9 fewer in the ICU, that is, 224 people.
-The 1,016 hospitalized patients counted this Monday are 136 less than the 1,152 registered seven days ago, 1,692 less than the 2,708 registered on March 30 in the maximum peak of the first wave and 2,462 less than the 3,478 of the peak of hospitalized in the second wave on November 10 , notes Europa Press. Andalusia detects five cases of new Covid strain from UK, with four more under observation: Spain’s Andalusia region has detected five cases of the new, more infectious coronavirus strain that has been identified in the United Kingdom, the regional health department has revealed. A further four patients are being monitored in the provinces of Málaga and Granada, the department added. All of the patients in question are progressing well. In all cases, they had returned to the region after having been in the United Kingdom. Daily Express sounds alarm over ECJ ‘bombshell’ as Brexit reality emerges: Now that the euphoria of Boris Johnson’s Christmas-saving Brexit deal has died down, the inquisition into the various compromises and concessions made by Britain and the European Union has begun.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it has been kicked off by the Daily Express – which seems to have read the small print of the thousand-page agreement, and discovered that the European Court of Justice will not be eradicated entirely from British life on Friday morning.
But is far from clear-cut – and it does seem that ECJ judgments will still be enforceable in the UK when it comes to the European Union’s own programmes – like Horizon, the bloc’s scientific research initiative.
The deal reads: “Decisions adopted by the European Commission imposing a pecuniary obligation on legal or natural persons other than States in relation to any claims stemming from Union programmes, activities, actions or projects shall be enforceable in the United Kingdom…” Full article: https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/politics/daily-express-sounds-alarm-over-ecj-bombshell-as-brexit-reality-emerges/28/12/

The number of one thousand patients hospitalized for Covid in Andalusia is once again exceeded: {Translated from https://sevilla.abc.es} Updated: 27/12/2020 18: 21
-A total of 1,003 patients confirmed with Covid-19 remain admitted to Andalusian hospitals, of which 233 are in the ICU. Therefore, Andalusia once again exceeds the figure of a thousand hospitalized by Covid, since there were 975 on Saturday, according to the Ministry of Health and Families of the Juna of Andalusia.
-By provinces, Granada, Cádiz, Seville and Malaga are those that have the most Covid patients in their hospitals. In contrast, the provinces with the fewest hospital patients are Huelva, Jaén and Córdoba. In Almería there are 96 hospitalizations (28 in ICU); 168 in Cádiz (37 in Intensive Care); 99 in Córdoba (21 in UCI); 181 in Granada (48 in ICU); 55 in Huelva (9 in UCI); 115 in Jaén (28 in ICU); 159 in Malaga (18 in the UCI) and 131 in Seville (44 in the UCI).
-Of those hospitalized in Intensive Care services in Andalusia, the figure has fallen by only 3, to 233. The provinces with the most ICU patients are Granada and Seville.
-17 people have died in Andalusia from Covid in the last 24 hours, counting 5,036 deaths from coronavirus in the region since March. Of the last 17 deaths, 4 have been registered in Granada, 3 in Jaén and Córdoba; 2 in Cádiz, Málaga and Seville; and 1 in Almería. Huelva is the only Andalusian province where there have been no fatalities from coronavirus since Saturday.

WhatsApp warning- Millions of phones will not support WhatsApp in 2021. What do you do if your phone is one of them?:
WhatsApp recently updated the support page, which sheds light on the operating systems of the devices that support its application, and it has been shown that the application will stop working on millions of old mobile devices worldwide next year, and this means that users of these devices have only one week left to update it in case they want to use WhatsApp services.
WhatsApp confirms devices running operating systems earlier than (Android 4.0.3) or (iOS 9) will lose access to WhatsApp as of 2021.
Due to the many updates supported by the application, the operating systems in the devices must be updated in order for the application to work properly.
First, Android devices that will not support WhatsApp in 2021:
The WhatsApp application will stop working – correctly at least – on Android smartphones running an operating system earlier than (Android 4.0.3), and include the following: HTC Desire, LG Optimus Black, Motorola Droid Razr and the Samsung Galaxy S2.
Second; IPhones to be denied the app:
WhatsApp will not work any iPhone 4 models and any older model, and accordingly iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S models will need to update the operating system to iOS 9 or later to continue using the app.
In the case of the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and the first generation iPhone SE, you can install the latest version of iOS 14 on them.
How to check your phone’s operating system?
To find out which version of the Android operating system your device is running on, you can follow these steps:
Go to the settings on your phone.
Click on the option About Phone. This is where the operating system version your device is running in will appear, and if an update is available it will also appear.
Click on the option Software Update, if an update is available for your phone.
To find out which operating system version your iPhone is running on, you can follow these steps:
Go to Settings on the phone.
Click on the General option.
Click on the About option; Where you will see a list of important information about the phone, including the version of the operating system, and if there is an update available it will also appear at the bottom of this page.
If your phone supports the operating systems (Android 4.0.3), (iOS 9) or any later, it must be installed now, otherwise the solution will be to get a new smartphone.
It is usual for WhatsApp to withdraw support for older versions of operating systems at the end of each year. As it is at the beginning of 2020; It did not work on devices running (Android 2.3.7) or (iOS 8) either. Source: https://www.eg24.news/2020/12/millions-of-phones-will-not-support-whatsapp-in-2021-what-do-you-do-if-your-phone-is-one-of-them.html

Older Android devices running on systems prior to Android version 7.1.1 to lose access to some Internet content starting in 2021: One of the world’s top certificate authorities warns that phones running versions of Android prior to 7.1.1 Nougat will be cut off from large portions of the secure web starting in 2021, Android Police reported Saturday.
Source: https://www.newsbreak.com/news/2098163339431/older-android-phones-will-be-cut-off-from-a-large-chunk-of-the-web-in-2021

Adobe Flash is expiring soon. Here’s how to make your computer safe: Some of the most amazing interactive experiences in the early days of the Internet were made possible by Flash – it was probably how you played your first web-based games – but in today’s world, it’s a huge security risk.
Adobe’s support for Flash will end on Dec. 31, 2020, and the Flash Player utility will start blocking Flash content after Jan. 12, 2021.
The major browsers will also completely disable Flash from running after the end of the year, so for all intents and purposes, it’s a dead technology.
While there may still be some websites that you visit that require Flash to properly function, these should be older websites that likely haven’t been updated for years and likely won’t ever be updated.
If you own a website that relies on Flash to properly render, it’s pretty obvious that you’ll need to update the code to reflect the current standards if you want it to be relevant to the rest of the world.
Read the full article with Flash uninstall instructions at: https://eu.azcentral.com/story/money/business/tech/2020/12/21/adobe-flash-player-expiring-how-uninstall-it-block-browsers/3972739001/

Gibraltar introduces curfew and strict new coronavirus measures after ‘stark increase’ of positive cases: With effect from 10pm Sunday, 27 December there will be a curfew for the whole population of the Rock imposed by law, announced Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo. The list of new restrictions is quite long, see them here: http://www.surinenglish.com/gibraltar/202012/27/gibraltar-introduces-strict-coronavirus-20201227194044.html

Austria enters its third lockdown. Israel is set to follow suit:
-Austria entered a third lockdown on Saturday, with all non-essential shops and schools to remain closed for three weeks and movement to be restricted, after the country eased restrictions in mid-December to allow for preparations ahead of the Christmas holiday.
Until Jan. 24, people in Austria are only allowed to leave their homes for work, shopping or to exercise outdoors, and personal contacts are limited to no more than two households.
-On Sunday, Israel is also set to enter its third weeks-long lockdown following a sharp increase in positive coronavirus test results over the past week. Israelis will be barred from travelling more than 1,000 meters beyond their homes except those participating in protests, receiving a vaccination or fulfilling any other task on a list of exemptions, the government said in a statement on Friday.
Museums, malls, national parks, zoos, salons and many other places will be shuttered, but some schools will remain open, the government said. Full article: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/26/world/austria-enters-its-third-lockdown-israel-is-set-to-follow-suit.html

Hybrid trains will link Almeria with Madrid by the end of 2021: The project is now well-advanced, requiring only the installation of safety and communications equipment and a gauge-changer in Granada.
Once completed, this will enable Almeria passengers to travel in the state-of-the art trains that use high speed tracks throughout Spain.

Recommendations & Requests

Spanish driving licence: Thought I’d post this, as a follow up to my post last week. I tried and tried, all week, to get through to Trafico, using the 060 number. I had no success, and every time I did get through, I couldn’t make myself understood.
However, today (Christmas Eve) the system worked, and I got through to someone who spoke English, and understood me completely. I had to give the usual information, DOB, full name, NIE, and English driving licence number, and that was it. I have now got six months in which to make an appointment to go to Malaga to
get my licence. This can be done online at http://www.dgt.es/es/ , and apparently, the instructions are easy to follow. (Use tool in top right of page to change display language. -Ed.)
I was assured that this is all I need to do, and that everything will be ok after Brexit. Hope this helps someone. Stay safe!

Andalusia announces that on Monday it will review the situation to decide whether to extend the Christmas measures: {Translated from https://sevilla.abc.es} Updated: 26/12/2020 18: 21
The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has declared this Saturday that Andalusians “do not relax” in the face of the coronavirus after announcing “the first data after Christmas”, which means that “hospitalizations drop below 1,000. According to the data released by the Andalusian president, hospitalizations stand at 975, with 236 patients in the ICU.
Through a tweet published on his personal Twitter account, the Andalusian president has announced that “on Monday we will decide if it is necessary to reinforce the measures”, in reference to the scheduled meeting of the Covid-19 Alert Committee that advises the Andalusian Government. “We continue to monitor,” pointed out Moreno, who considered that “it would be good news to start vaccination with the best possible data.”
This Sunday the start of vaccinations in Andalusia is scheduled against the coronavirus, as in all of Spain. The first doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 developed by the company Pfizer have already arrived in Spain and are in a warehouse in Guadalajara from where they will be distributed in the next few hours equally between the points designated by all the communities and cities autonomous to begin vaccination this Sunday.
The Andalusian Government announced on Wednesday the location of the vaccination points for Covid-19 in the first phase of the program. There will be 45 health centers and 37 hospitals that will dispense the vaccine, made up of 177 teams with 526 nursing professionals.
Of these, 73 will be mobile to be able to reach nursing homes and vaccinate all residents and their workers in the first two weeks. Source, Spanish: https://sevilla.abc.es/andalucia/sevi-andalucia-anuncia-lunes-revisara-situacion-para-decidir-si-amplia-medidas-navidad-202012261220_noticia.html

Andalusia exceeds 5,000 deaths from Covid since the pandemic began by adding 32 more: {Translated from https://sevilla.abc.es}
Updated: 26/12/2020 17:14
Andalusia has exceeded 5,000 deaths from Covid-19 coronavirus this Saturday, December 26, adding 32 since Thursday (on Christmas Day the Board did not publish the report), according to data from the Ministry of Health and Families, which counts 1,410 positives plus.
-Specifically, on this day 5,019 deaths have been reached, after adding 32 since Thursday, which is a lower figure than the 41 deaths registered on Thursday itself, 37 on Wednesday, 33 on Tuesday and 40 on Monday. Of the 32 deaths, ten have been recorded in Seville, six in Córdoba, five in Cádiz , three in Granada, two in Almería, Huelva, Jaén and Málaga.
-Regarding the 1,410 cases, Malaga with 270 has been the province that has added the most positives, followed by Cádiz with 224 and Seville with 206. Below 200 infections are Granada with 183, Almería with 175, Jaén with 152, Córdoba with 109 and Huelva with 91.
-The patients admitted to Andalusian hospitals for Covid-19 have been reduced this Saturday, December 26, to 975, 103 less than Thursday and 213 less than last Saturday, of which 236 are in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) , two less than Thursday and 15 less than seven days ago.
-The number of hospitalized patients falls by 103 compared to Thursday – since the data were not made public on Christmas Day – after the decrease of 43 on Thursday and 48 on Wednesday after rising by 17 on Tuesday and 23 on Monday, reduced by 59 on Sunday and by 29 on Saturday. The 975 hospitalized patients counted this Saturday are 213 less than the 1,188 registered seven days ago, 1,733 less than the 2,708 registered on March 30 in the maximum peak of the first wave and 2,503 less than the 3,478 of the peak of hospitalized in the second wave on November 10.
-For its part, the number of ICU admissions fell by two, after increasing by three on Thursday, falling from twelve on Wednesday and after remaining stable on Tuesday, falling by two on Monday and Sunday and by eleven on Saturday past.
-The president of the Board, Juanma Moreno, also sent a tweet to emphasize this decrease in the thousand hospitalized. However, he again stressed that we must not lower our guard or relax and that on Monday they will decide “if it is necessary to reinforce the measures”, that is, more restrictions. Madrid detects at least 4 cases of new British covid-19 strain but does not tighten restrictions: It was only a matter of time. The new strain of covid-19, 70% more contagious, which has led to the United Kingdom back into lockdown and the cancellation of flights by different European states has now reached Spain. The Madrid region has detected at least four cases and is studying three more, as explained today by the Deputy Minister of Public Health, Antonio Zapatero, during a telematic press conference. The four confirmed cases are related to travellers from the United Kingdom who “have entered through the Madrid-Barajas airport”. We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing
We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices
NEW PRODUCT – Face Cleanser With Bulgarian Rose is now available, 100% organic & vegan
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.
Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Millions more in England moved into toughest Tier 4 lockdown from Boxing Day: Updated Dec 23, 2020, 4:20 PM. Millions more people in England will be subject to the most severe Tier 4 restrictions following the “dangerous” spread of the new strain of coronavirus.
Speaking at a Downing Street press conference on Wednesday, health secretary Matt Hancock said: “It is absolutely vital that we act”.
On Boxing Day, 6 million people will move from Tier 3 to Tier 4. The affected areas are Sussex; Oxfordshire; Suffolk; Norfolk; Cambridgeshire, parts of Essex not yet in Tier 4; Waverley in Surrey; and Hampshire including Portsmouth and Southampton but excluding the New Forest.
That means a total of 24 million people, or 43% of England’s population, will be in Tier 4. Full article with video: https://news.yahoo.com/more-areas-england-tier-4-152020576.html?

Police in Malaga seize counterfeit cash: Posing as rich people, with high purchasing power, an alleged organised crime gang has been smashed by National Police officers in Malaga. After a stake out police recovered 11,000 euros in legal tender, 200,000 euros in counterfeit bank notes, six mobile phones, a money counting machine and a car in Operation ‘Carmiña’. Spain’s new relief package rings hollow for struggling hospitality businesses, no cash benefits: The measures in the Plan de Refuerzo do not include direct aid. Instead, they aim to help small retailers and hospitality entrepreneurs increase their liquidity by incentivizing rent reductions, offering tax deferrals, improving access to financing and delaying Social Security contributions.
The overarching goal is to reduce companies’ fixed costs and adapt them to the new reality faced by hundreds of thousands of businesses affected by the crisis. The impact of the new plan is estimated at €4.2 billion, according to government spokesperson María Jesús Montero. But, as good as that security might be, it’s not enough—and we have seen news this week that should serve as a serious warning that there’s more you must do to keep your WhatsApp account secure. Beware of private gold purchases with strangers: Police in Seville have revealed details of an open-air shootout that followed a gold deal in one of the city’s most infamous neighbourhoods.
The shocking incident occurred shortly before 8 PM on October 12th, while the streets of Seville’s southern Su Eminencia area were still full of children and families enjoying the pleasant evening weather.
Two men arrived at a home with the intention of purchasing 40,000 euro worth of gold but were attacked by a gang upon arriving. Police launched an investigation into the brazen incident, and have now arrested 9 people following 12 raids. The perpetrators are reportedly all members of an infamous local crime family of Portuguese origin who have been long settled in Seville’s deeply deprived southern peripheries where violence and addiction are rampant.
