Andalusia has 1,320 coronavirus infections, worst Friday since mid-February: {Translated from sevilla.abc.es}
Updated 26/03/2021 20:05
-Andalusia has had 1,320 cases of coronavirus infection this Friday. This is the highest figure for a Friday since mid-February, more than a month ago. Although it is not yet a trend, this data does point to the fact that the pandemic, for now dormant on a plateau, could be timidly rebounding.
-However, it is too early to say for sure that the curve is rising. We will have to wait and see what data the next few days bring to confirm whether this Friday’s figure is the tone that the numbers will follow from now on or a statistical incidence.
-Where there is a clear trend is in the number of deaths. There are eleven on Friday, less than half the number of the same day last week. This is something that has been happening since last weekend. The number of reported fatalities has been halved, according to this week’s figures from the Department of Health and Families.
-And if it seems that the number of infections is rising timidly and unblocking the situation of stability in which they were plunged, in the case of hospitals the lethargy continues. The number of people admitted to hospital is much lower than it was weeks ago, when the number of discharges was 200 by 200. This Friday, in fact, there is a drop of only 21 people hospitalised, which leaves the total number of people admitted for coronavirus at 1,005.
-Lowering the thousand admitted remains an insurmountable barrier for now for the community, which also in the ICU does not fall strongly. In fact this Friday there are 244 admitted to intensive care, the same figure as yesterday. German Constitutional Court halts approval of EU-wide recovery funds: {From a long, rambling eldiario.es article, this is the first paragraph I have translated and posted. It contains the important points. For more details look at the references.}
The 750,000 million euros in European funds to overcome the social, economic and health crisis caused by the pandemic are at a standstill. And the €140 billion allocated to Spain, between loans and subsidies, are at risk. Or, at least, the deadlines to start receiving them. Spain has budgeted 27 billion from European recovery programs for this year, and expected to start receiving advances from the summer onwards.

Amid looming threat of fourth wave in Spain, only half of 80-and-over age group is vaccinated: As the threat of a fourth wave of the coronavirus looms over Spain, many of the people most vulnerable to Covid-19 continue to be at risk of contracting the disease. Only 50% of the 80-and-over age group in Spain have been vaccinated against Covid-19, according to an estimate by EL PAÍS based on figures provided by regional governments. The data indicates that around 1.2 million people who are 80 and over have been vaccinated. This figure does not include residents of care homes, a group that has been nearly completely immunized. The rate of vaccination of the 80-and-over population in Spain is slightly below the average in the European Union, where 55% of people in this age group have received their first shot.Full article: https://english.elpais.com/society/2021-03-25/amid-looming-threat-of-fourth-wave-in-spain-only-half-of-80-and-over-age-group-is-vaccinated.html

Updated- Easter Holiday Info for Andalucia:
There is some confusion over the “holiday bridges” and which of these will be “bank holidays”.
Will Easter Sunday will “bridge” to a bank holiday on Easter Monday? Most sources say yes.
Does Palm Sunday “bridge” to make Monday March 29th a holiday? No sources mention this.
If anyone has a definitive source with accurate bank holiday info, please send me the link to it. If Aldi is closed, banks probably will be also.
So far, this is what I have found.
-March 28, Palm Sunday
-April 1, La festividad del Jueves Santo (Maundy Thursday) (Torrox Costa Aldi closed)
-April 2, El Viernes Santo (Good Friday)
– April 4, Easter Sunday
-April 5, Easter Monday (Torrox Costa Aldi closed)

Recommendation: We would like to recommend Archgrove Services who recently transported 7 boxes, and a large painting from Spain to the U.K. at a very reasonable price.
From the first meeting with Gail, through to handing over the boxes to Steve and their arrival in St. Leonards-on-Sea was a seamless operation.
We were kept informed all the way through to delivery, dead on time in the U.K.
No hesitation in recommending their services and, without doubt, will use them again as and when the need arises.

The new Covid measure that begins in Andalusia from this Friday  limits home groups to cohabitants for Easter: {Summary, translated from seville.abc.es}
-Despite the fact that since 19 March meetings in Andalusia could have a maximum of six people both outdoors and in homes, from 26 April until 9 April Covid will change this measure, with the maximum number of people in the street and outside bars (six people) and inside restaurants (four people) remaining the same as it is today. As for meetings in homes, they will be allowed only between cohabitants.
That is to say, there are no modifications regarding the prohibition of travel between communities and provinces, curfew hours and meetings other than in homes. AstraZeneca vaccine resumes, Andalusia will reschedule those who refuse to be vaccinated against the coronavirus now: {Summary, translated from sevilla.abc.es}
-The director of the Strategic Vaccination Plan of Andalusia, David Moreno, has conveyed to the public a message of confidence in the AstraZeneca vaccine, which was resumed last Wednesday in the community, and has pointed out that “almost all the people mentioned went and got vaccinated”.
-In an interview on Canal Sur Television, picked up by Europa Press, Moreno pointed out that this vaccine is being administered to millions of people and is safe. “It has some mild side effects, such as fever and pain in the area of the puncture, one or two days of discomfort, but there are more people who have no symptoms than those who do,” he stressed.
For those citizens who choose not to receive their dose when the time comes, the Andalusian government will establish “forms of repayment” and they will have to wait to be “rescheduled within the population”. Mechanisms will also be included for vaccinating new professionals – police officers, teachers and health workers, among others – who join the workforce. UK Emergency Covid laws extended until October as Government sees off Tory rebels: MPs have backed an extension of UK coronavirus laws for another six month.
But despite widespread backbench anger over the laws, Boris Johnson saw off his own MPs with Labour support to keep what critics branded “significant draconian powers”.
MPs voted 484 to 76, majority 408, to extend coronavirus laws for a further six months.
-The extension of emergency powers will now last until October.
-But despite the extension ministers insisted this did not change the so-called lockdown roadmap, which will see some restrictions remain in place in England until at least June 21.
-Matt Hancock came under fire from Tory MPs after failing to guarantee “draconian” powers to implement pandemic restrictions will be scrapped in October. Mr Hancock told the Commons he “cannot answer” whether the Government will be “retiring” the legislation in October or whether it will be rolled on.
-Meanwhile, Mr Hancock has expressed confidence about the UK’s ability to manage Covid-19 in the future. He told the Financial Times: “It depends what you mean by ‘end’. I see an end where Covid is managed more like flu: we repeatedly vaccinate, we update the vaccines according to mutations and we manage the challenges, especially around transmissions over winter. “I’m confident that’s where we can get to. I want to get to a position where we can have an updated vaccine in weeks or months, not a year.”

If anyone has a definitive source with accurate bank holiday info, please send me the link to it.
So far, this is what I have found.

Andalusia returns to 1,000 coronavirus cases per day unable to leave the plateau: {Translated from sevilla.abc.es} Updated 24/03/2021 13:28
-Andalusia has once again reached a thousand cases of coronavirus infection. On Wednesday, the region reported 1,032 cases, a figure very similar to the one reported on the same day last week, when 955 positive cases were recorded. The evolution of the pandemic continues to draw a curve that meanders in growth and very slight drops in the data.
-In any case, the weeks in this plateau in which the community is installed do not seem to change. Monday and Tuesday around 500 cases and on Wednesday back to 1,000. This is also what is happening this week, which is good because it means that the dreaded fourth wave has not arrived. But it is bad at the same time because this stagnation of data occurs when the pandemic data are high and hospital occupancy is still above a thousand people.
-Where there does seem to be a slight improvement is in the number of deaths from the coronavirus. The Consejería de Salud y Familias has reported 22 deaths from Covid-19, half as many as on the same day last week. This was also the case yesterday, when 41 deaths were reported, half the 82 reported on Tuesday of the previous week.
-It seems that the community has found a floor in the number of deaths. It would make sense because it is in this parameter that the downward curve is finally noticeable. After having stabilised in terms of infections, admissions and the cumulative incidence rate, the plateau could also be reached in the number of deaths caused by the pandemic.
-Because the cumulative incidence, like the number of positives, has remained unchanged at around 120 cases per 100,000 inhabitants for weeks. Today it is 119, but yesterday it was 120. A week later the same thing is happening and Andalusia has not managed to drop below 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
*Hospitalised by Covid*
-In hospitals, meanwhile, the rate of reduction of hospital admissions is increasingly slower. In fact, this Wednesday there have only been 21 discharges, the lowest figure for a Wednesday in many weeks. Thus, today there are 1,060 hospitalised due to coronavirus.
-In the ICU, according to data from the Department of Health and Families, the situation is also slowing down. This Wednesday, 259 people have been reported admitted to intensive care, only one less than yesterday.

Spain lifts UK flight restrictions from 30 March: Spain will lift the restrictions imposed since the end of December on flights from the United Kingdom on 30 March, although it will maintain the restrictions for those arriving from Brazil and South Africa in order to prevent the entry of coronavirus variants from these countries.
The existing restrictions mean that flights from any airport in the United Kingdom to any Spanish airport – with or without intermediate stops – can only carry Spanish or Andorran nationals, or legal residents in Spain or Andorra.
Now, in theory, with the lifting of the Spanish restrictions UK tourists could also come to Spain, and not just residents.
However, the British Government has announced measures to the contrary and Health Minister Matt Hancock has indicated that from next week fines of up to £5,000 (6,000 euros) could be imposed on Britons travelling abroad for holidays and without “good reason”. The penalty is included in legislation that will be voted on by MPs on Thursday. Full article: http://www.surinenglish.com/national/202103/23/spain-lifts-flight-restrictions-20210323172234.html

Spain’s tourism sector fears that government aid will arrive so late that it will have no effect this summer: Employers have also demanded that the ERTE furlough scheme be extended until the end of the year and layoffs be allowed: “I prefer an operating company with eight workers than a shut down one with 10,” said the CEOE trade body president. Merkel and the leaders of Germany’s 16 states had agreed at marathon talks on Monday that almost all shops were to be closed on April 1-5, with only grocers allowed to open on Saturday April 3.
But they decided at a crisis meeting called by Merkel on Wednesday to scrap that measure, instead appealing to the public to stay home over the Easter weekend. Full article: https://www.ibtimes.com/merkel-asks-forgiveness-easter-virus-plan-falls-apart-3168368

Hundreds of fleeceware apps on Google and Apple stores:
Fleeceware apps aren’t technically malware as they don’t contain malicious code, steal data, or attempt to hijack devices. This allows them to circumvent the Play Store and App Store vetting processes. What they do have, however, is obscenely high subscription fees.
Most of these apps entice people into signing up by offering a three-day free trial. Once that ends, users are charged a high, recurring fee. The makers rely on people forgetting to cancel or assuming that uninstalling the app will stop the charges.
The apps are predominantly related to astrology, horoscopes, musical lessons, photo/filter software, QR/PDF scanners, and video editing. While they do tend to perform their primary functions, similar and usually better alternatives are available for free or at a low, one-off price. Most fleeceware charges users between $4 to $12 per week, though this can reach $66 per week in some cases, equalling $3,432 per year.
As they aren’t malware, the apps can advertise on social networks, making them appear more credible, especially to younger users.
What to do if you have installed fleeceware? Once the test is over, users are charged a recurring subscription fee, even if they have removed the app, until they unsubscribe in their device’s app store settings.
How to avoid getting tricked into installing rouge apps?
Although subscriptions are frequent in app stores, Avast recommends “be careful” with applications that offer free trials for very short periods, for example, less than a week.
These ‘fleeceware’ ‘apps’ are actively advertised on major social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok. Therefore, above all, it is advisable to maintain “skepticism” with the viral ads of applications.
Also, it is important to read the fine print. “A closer look it will probably reveal the true price of the application “, they indicate from the cybersecurity company. It is advisable to pay” special attention “to the section ‘Purchases within the application’.
And make sure that the payment methods used are blocked by a password or a biometric security system. “This can also avoid accidental subscriptions by children “, conclude from Avast.

Halting Erosion using Vetiver
From Vetiver Spain in Sayalonga
Our Nursery is open by appointment depending on the current travel restrictions. Please email or call first. We have Moringa seedlings, Organic Moringa powder and Comfrey plants. We also have some local trees and some exotic trees from Africa.
Vetiver is a rapid growing and non-invasive sterile clump grass with a height of 1-2 metres and a root system of 3-4 metres in depth. We have been providing Vetiver throughout the EU for almost 10 years now. We are located in Sayalonga where we can plant year round but our best results by far start in February. The reason is that Vetiver is indigenous to India and Vetiver loves the heat of the summer. Use Vetiver cuttings as mulch around all of your fruit trees. Decomposing Vetiver improves soil quality, keeps the weeds down and the insects away all while helping to maintain soil moisture.
Vetiver is a nutritious and replenishable animal fodder. Horses and pigs love it. We use it in our chicken pens replacing hay because it stops mites.
In the 2 photos below you will see land prepared for Vetiver and the results 2 years later.
We also use Vetiver along driveways and sidewalks. It also makes a great and inexpensive ornamental hedge.
Here is a link to a short video showing the results.
https://youtu.be/rjTmb_LL2uo
We suggest planting now, as this is the BEST time of the year to plant.

In Spain, just one in 12 businesses will benefit from coronavirus direct aid: The government has set restrictive criteria for accessing €7 billion in non-refundable payouts to compensate for the loss of revenue after a year of the pandemic.
An estimate made by EL PAÍS indicates that only around 180,000 businesses, out of 2.2 million, will be able to request a share of this aid, which is aimed at helping distressed companies cover fixed costs such as rent or supplies. The conditions for eligibility are restrictive: only 95 out of the 538 existing activities, following the Tax Agency’s classification, may file for the aid. The fact that the funds will first go through regional governments could mean that applicants will not see any money before the summer.

US agency questions AstraZeneca’s Covid vaccine trial data:
The drug firm may have provided an incomplete view of the efficacy data from US trial, says safety monitor.
Questions have been raised in the US by the independent Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB), which has suggested that AstraZeneca may have provided “outdated information” in its statement on Monday, which gave “an incomplete view” of the results. The concerns throw into question whether the British-Swedish pharmaceutical firm can seek US emergency use authorisation for the vaccine in the coming weeks as planned. Bad news for Andalusian tourism- travel ban on British tourists until July: {Translated from sevilla.abc.es}
-In another setback for Andalusian tourism, Boris Johnson, the British Prime Minister, announced on Monday that the ban on travel outside the islands would be extended until July. The reason is the fear that the effects of the third wave of the coronavirus will also hit Britain harder. “It’s horrifying,” laments Miguel Sánchez, president of the Tourism Council of the Andalusian Business Confederation (CEA).
-It’s another check for businesses that are being battered by the pandemic. Employees in ERTE, closed businesses and a horizon that does not just open the doors to tourists. With this panorama, the hope was that, with the vaccination, there would be a return with the arrival of the heat, taking advantage of the holiday period in May. “Most of us were thinking of opening in the second half of May,” Sánchez told ABC, explaining that the extension of the ban in the largest outbound market has forced us to rethink our plans.
-According to CEA data, British tourism accounted for 34 percent of the volume of visitors to Andalusia before the pandemic. The recovery of these tourists is key for businesses to function properly, but the uncertainty has been going on for a year without any certainty. “It’s desperate,” says Sánchez.
-The British government’s plans are a new cold shower and are causing incomprehension among some of the hotel managers in Andalusia. “It’s very negative news and it’s not understandable from a health point of view, when nowadays to travel you have to have a negative PCR to enter and leave,” says Julián Cabanillas, director of the Marbella Club Hotel, which has opted for long-stay clients to maintain its position over the last year.
-These bans are not only affecting the Andalusian hotel sector, but are also hitting other sectors such as airlines. These companies have already decided not to release forecasts on the number of seats or destinations. “Many flights are cancelled,” they explain at Malaga Airport, where before the pandemic they already had numbers of seats for travel, but this year they see how the companies do not dare to reveal plans for fear that they will collapse.

Apple News- Lawsuit over Apple’s faulty MacBook butterfly keyboards gets class-action status in California: The butterfly keyboard design has been widely criticized by consumers since its launch in 2015. Customers have complained of having issues with the keys sticking together, the keyboard’s inability to work when pressing certain keys, discomfort when using the slim design, and overall issues with the keyboard’s ability to function properly. In 2020, Apple discontinued the butterfly keyboard design and announced that its Magic Keyboard would be available across Apple’s entire laptop lineup. Chimps From Two Czech Zoos are Zooming Each Other Every Day: Chimpanzees at two Czech zoos are, like the rest of us, staying in contact via Zoom, as the zoo staff seek to give them some company and stimulation during the long hours of isolation. Chimp gang Dingo, Babeta, Bonnie, Suzi, Chispi and Mat at Safari Park Dvur Kralove have had their lives Zoom-displayed on giant screens in front of the simians at a Brno Zoo enclosure 90 miles away, and vice versa.
“At the beginning they approached the screen with defensive or threatening gestures,” said Gabriela Linhartova, one of the ape keepers at Dvur Kralove Zoo east of Prague.
“It has since moved into the mode of ‘I am in the movies’ or ‘I am watching TV’. When they see some tense situations, it gets them up off the couch, like us when we watch a live sport event,” she said.
While observing the others’ day-to-day lives, the chimps have taken to other human behaviors, such as shoveling things like peanuts into their mouths while they watch. Full article: https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/czech-chimpanzees-zoom-call-each-other/

-ReOpened: Il Faro Pizzaria near the lookout point at the end of Av El Faro. Proper family sized pizzas with premium ingredients. Ask for extra tomato sauce & extra cheese if you like American style pizza. The Pizza del Mar, with shrimps, mussels and anchovies is my personal fav. Eat half there, take the rest home, two meals for the price of one!
-The El Faro Bar has opened where Thai Pas Restaurant used to be located, next to the lookout point on Av El Faro. Terrace is canine friendly, and the dog beach is only a few hundred meters away. Have a day out with your pooch!
-The Greek Casita, BLQ 80, has delayed their reopening until March 26th. The remodelling has taken longer than anticipated. Gyros will be back soon!
-I Love Pizza on the beach boardwalk has been closed for several weeks now, no sign of when they will reopen, but there does seem to be some remodeling happening.
-The newish London Bar on the Paseo Maritimo remains shut for the time being. I have not had a chance to try it out, but in passing I noticed the portions  were large and it definitely looks like a great place to watch sports tv!
-The mini-market on the west side of BLQ 80 is now a Hilal Middle Eastern grocery store. It is packed floor to ceiling with every sort of food you would expect and much more. Wide selection of spices, figs & dates. They even have a butcher section for fresh meat. Prices are very reasonable, lean fresh ground Hilal beef was only €5/kg the day I stopped in. Look for daily meat specials posted on the display case!  Also a selection of  traditional clothes & shoes.
*Bar Owners: It’s free to post your promos once a month, or once a week if you have new weekly special deals or entertainment. Check the Rules Page for details. Free publicity, what more could you ask for?

Andalusia has only 380 coronavirus infections, best Monday since August: {Translated from sevilla.abc.es}
Updated 22/03/2021, 16:36
-Andalusia has had 380 cases of coronavirus infection this Monday. This is the lowest figure since 9 December and also the best Monday for the region since 10 August. If we compare this figure with last week’s Monday, there is also an improvement because seven days ago the number of reported positives was 480, one hundred more.
-However, this drop in cases is not reflected in the cumulative incidence of the pandemic, the most reliable gauge of the speed and virulence of the health crisis. Last Friday there were 118 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. This Monday there are 122. The rise, although not very pronounced, confirms the saw-toothed phase that the curve of the pandemic in the community has been drawing for weeks.
-There are also worse data in the case of the seven-day incidence rate. This value, which registers changes in trend sooner, is 57 cases per hundred thousand inhabitants today at seven days. On Friday the same figure was 52, five points lower.
-Thus, it is not possible to be sure that the low number of infections reported on Monday represents a trend, nor that the increase in the incidence rate points in the opposite direction. The community remains at very similar figures week after week, with the incidence rate stagnating at around 120 points.
-Where there is very good news is in the number of deaths. This Monday there have been only two deaths due to coronavirus in Andalusia, as was the case yesterday. You have to go back to 2 January to find such low figures and, much earlier, to the summer, to see them repeated for two consecutive days.
-There are two possible explanations for this. On the one hand, vaccines are already having an effect on the most vulnerable people, which reduces mortality. But the drop is very sharp, so we must also take into account a possible under-reporting of deaths that will be corrected tomorrow or the day after, when this indicator is expected to rise in Andalusia.
-Meanwhile, 1,054 Andalusians were admitted to hospital on Monday due to the coronavirus. This is a rise of 41 people, the highest in several weeks. In the ICU there is also an increase in the number of Andalusians admitted, 265, six more than yesterday. This tends to happen on Mondays and Tuesdays, so we will have to wait until the end of the week for the number of hospitalised patients to finally drop below a thousand, if that happens at all. Health wants to resume the vaccination with AstraZeneca in Andalusia this Tuesday: {Summary, translated from sevilla.abc.es}
-The Andalusian Regional Minister for Health and Families, Jesús Aguirre, announced on Monday in Montilla (Córdoba) that, if authorised by the Ministry of Health, Andalusia will administer the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines from Tuesday, also to the 55-65 age group.
-In fact, Andalusia has “160,000 AstraZeneca vaccines available right now”, and Health wants to “administer them as soon as possible”, and Aguirre also hopes that the use of this vaccine will be authorised for the 55 to 65 age group, which is the age group that Aguirre considers to be a “priority” for vaccination, within the “essential personnel”.
-In addition to this, Aguirre, who said he expects a total of “203,530 vaccines” to arrive in Andalusia this week from the various pharmaceutical companies, also wants the Ministry of Health to authorise that, “once the vaccination of the over-80s has been completed, the next group to be vaccinated will be patients with relevant pathologies”. UK Covid testing- Adults to be asked to test themselves twice a week to keep roadmap out of lockdown on track: All adults will be encouraged to test themselves for Covid-19 twice a week to help us ease out of lockdown, The Times understands.
Getting the public into the habit of regular swabs is viewed as a vital way to stop people breaking the rules if they test negative and an advertising campaign will urge people to “play their part” by regularly checking they are not infectious.

Unidas Podemos says Politicos “antisocial” on Rent Relief- Minister Ábalos insists on tax incentives and advocates that they are more effective than limiting the rents: {Summary, translated from sevilla.abc.es}
-The Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, José Luis Ábalos, defended this Monday that the tax incentives he is proposing in the future housing law to curb the rise in rents as a “much more effective” measure than the demand by UNO Podemos to limit them.
-The future law will make the constitutional right to decent housing effective and will put a stop to abusive rises in rents, according to the minister, who added that it will also favour “the offer of affordable conditions for people with lower incomes, young people and the most vulnerable groups”.
-With regard to the criticisms made by Unidas Podemos of the tax incentives for benefiting large property owners, he reminded the audience that the aim is to make these incentives “more progressive and fairer”. In addition, he reminded that it is applied to personal income tax, a tax that does not benefit companies, and that 85% of rented housing in Spain belongs to small owners.
-In any case, he assured that in the future law “there are many measures” to avoid the abusive increase in rents and to favour an increase in supply because “if we do not increase supply, we are not going to lower prices”, he said.
-Hours earlier, Yolanda Díaz expressed her conviction that there will be agreement in the coalition government to regulate the price of rents: “It is not a question of giving in, there is going to be agreement for sure,” she said.
-She pointed out that, after unemployment, “surely the second biggest problem is housing”, which is also “a fundamental right” recognised in the Constitution and “in international standards”, and that “the Government wants to tackle one of the country’s main problems”.
-The PSOE’s proposal to reduce the price of rent in stressed areas is to increase the level of tax relief in personal income tax for owners, up to 90%, in order to formalise a new contract with a lower rent. For both Montero and the Vice-President for Economic Affairs, Nadia Calviño, this proposal would comply with the government agreement between the PSOE and Unidas Podemos, despite not containing price intervention.
-In contrast, Unidas Podemos considers that the incentive system is not sufficient and would not comply with the coalition agreement or the agreement to approve the Housing Law. Moreover, it points out that the incentive system will not only not be enough, but that it is also aimed at benefiting large housing owners.
-Thus, they consider that it is “antisocial, by promoting that those who have the most and have contributed the most to inflating the bubble will benefit the most from these incentives supported with everyone’s money”. Tax office staff warn furloughed workers they may need to do a tax declaration for 2020: Representatives of the government’s tax inspectors have warned people who have benefited from ERTE furloughing payments in the last 12 months of the Covid-19 pandemic to check if they need to fill out a tax return for 2020.
Normally those earning less than 22,000 euros a year from a single source, typically their employer, don’t have to complete a separate self-assessment-style declaration.
However, as many people were getting furlough money from the SEPE employment service as well as from an employer in 2020, they will be forced to file an individual tax return under the rules.
ERTE payments don’t normally have tax deducted at source, unlike a pay packet, and so many people could be caught out on their IRPF income-tax declaration as they will have some money to pay back to the taxman. US has ‘secret evidence of UFOs breaking sound barrier without a sonic boom and performing moves humans don’t have the technology for’, says Trump’s Director of National Intelligence: The U.S. has evidence of UFOs breaking the sound barrier without a sonic boom and making maneuvers impossible with known technology, the former Director of National Intelligence has revealed.
The revelations increased excitement about a forthcoming report detailing what the U.S. government has observed.
John Ratcliffe, who served as Donald Trump’s Director of National Intelligence, said that many of the incidents still have no easy explanation.
‘When we talk about sightings, the other thing I will tell you is, it’s not just a pilot or just a satellite, or some intelligence collection,’ Ratcliffe said.
‘Usually we have multiple sensors that are picking up these things, and some of these are unexplained phenomenon, and there is actually quite a few more than have been made public.’
The government was, in December, given a 180-day deadline to disclose what it knew, meaning that the report should be out before June 1. Full article: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9387129/There-lot-sightings-public-Anticipation-mounts-ahead-UFO-report.html

Global shortage in computer chips ‘reaches crisis point’: Consumers are facing price rises and shortages of products from TVs and mobile phones to cars and games consoles as a global shortage in semiconductors grows.
The shortage in chips, the “brain” within every electronic device in the world, has been steadily worsening since last year. Initially the problem was only a temporary delay in supplies as factories shut down when the coronavirus pandemic first hit. However, although production is back to normal, a new surge in demand driven by changing habits fueled by the pandemic means that it is now reaching crisis point.
Car manufacturers investing in tech-heavy electric vehicles, the boom in sales of TVs and home computers and launch of new games consoles and 5G-enabled mobile phones have all driven demand.
The chip shortage looks set to persist for some time yet. It can take up to two years to get complex semiconductor production factories up and running, and manufacturers are in the process of significantly raising prices for the second time in less than a year.
“There is no sign of supply catching up, or demand decreasing, while prices are rising across the chain,” says Campling, media and tech analyst at Mirabaud. . “This will cross over to people in the street. Expect cars to cost more, phones to cost more. This year’s iPhone is not going to be cheaper than last year.” Full article: https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/mar/21/global-shortage-in-computer-chips-reaches-crisis-point

World’s first ship tunnel to be built under Norwegian mountains: Norway has got the go-ahead to construct what’s being billed as the world’s first ship tunnel, designed to help vessels navigate the treacherous Stadhavet Sea.
First announced a few years ago by the Norwegian Coastal Administration, this mile-long, 118-feet-wide tunnel will burrow through the mountainous Stadhavet peninsula in northwestern Norway.
Building this engineering marvel will cost somewhere in the region of 2.8 billion Norwegian kroner ($330 million) and take between three to four years, with construction due to commence in 2022. Andalusia Covid Update: {Translated from sevilla.abc.es}
Updated 21/03/2021, 19:22
-Andalusia has registered 746 daily cases of coronavirus this Sunday 21 March, a lower figure than that recorded last Sunday (842), according to data provided by the Ministry of Health and Families. This is the lowest figure since 27 September, when the same number of deaths was also recorded. A lower figure is that of the 13th of the same month, when there were no deaths. However, it should be remembered that the death toll drops considerably on weekends as reporting slows, rising again on Tuesdays.
-The cumulative incidence rate for the autonomous community has risen for the second day to 122 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, 2.3 points higher than the day before and 0.5 points higher than last Sunday’s rate of 121.5.
-This day’s 746 cases come after 1,179 on Saturday, 958 on Friday, 1,066 on Thursday, 955 on Wednesday, 445 on Tuesday, 480 on Monday and 842 on Sunday.
-Seville is the province with the most positive cases this Sunday with 173, closely followed by Granada with 148, Almeria with 130, Malaga with 87, Cadiz with 77, Cordoba with 47, Jaen with 45 and Huelva with 39. The two deaths are registered in Cadiz and Malaga.
-On Sunday, Andalusia recorded 1,013 patients hospitalised for coronavirus, 29 fewer than on Saturday and 93 fewer than a week ago, of whom 259 are in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), five fewer than the day before and 22 fewer than seven days ago. Covid News- Romania has record numbers of patients in ICUs:
Romania on Sunday recorded its highest number of COVID-19 patients in intensive care units since the pandemic began. But despite the pressure on Romania’s health care system, Prime Minister Florin Citu insisted that a strict national lockdown won’t be enforced. Spanish regulators ban £51 nasal spray that studies show may cut the risk of catching Covid ‘because there is no proof it is safe’: Spanish drug regulators have banned the sale of a readily-available nasal spray touted as a potential coronavirus treatment.
The Taffix spray, sold in a pack of four for £51, was credited with preventing dozens of Jews from catching Covid at a religious festival in Israel last year. A study by Nasus, the Israeli biomedical firm which makes the spray, and scientists from the University of Haifa and the University of Virginia, followed 243 people who attended a Jewish new year festival last September in the city of Bney Brak, four miles (6.3km) east of Tel Aviv. None of the 81 Jews who used the spray properly got infected, compared to 16 in the other group who did.
The spray, which provides enough for 200 pumps in each bottle, is said to coat the inside of the nose in an acidic powder that makes it difficult for viral particles to penetrate.
But despite its promise, Spain’s medical regulator, the Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS), has banned its sale on the basis there was ‘not enough clinical evidence’ it was effective.
The UK’s medicines regulator said it was also reviewing the nasal spray.
Taffix’s main chemical ingredient hypromellose is often used as an antiseptic before surgery to stop patients from getting infections. The spray, which claims to block 97 per cent of all airborne viruses, has a vital ‘CE mark’, meaning it has been deemed safe to use in Europe. (It appears to be pulled from Amazon, but is still on offer on Ebay. -Ed)

AstraZeneca Vaccine – German team claims to have discovered thrombosis trigger: Researchers at the Greifswald teaching hospital in northern Germany said on Friday that they had discovered the cause of the unusual blood clotting found in some recipients of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine, public broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) reported.
The investigation showed how the vaccine caused rare thrombosis in the brain in a small number of patients.
The discovery means that targeted treatment can be offered to those who suffer similar clotting, using a very common medication. The researchers emphasized that treatment would only be possible in patients where blood clots appear, rather than as a preventative treatment. The information has been shared with hospitals around Europe.
Symptoms like continuous headache, dizziness or impaired vision lasting more than three days after vaccination need further medical check-ups, according to the German Research Association for Thrombosis and Hemostasis in a statement on the recent findings.
The Greifswald findings have not yet been published in a scientific journal and therefore have not been reviewed by independent experts. The Paul-Ehrlich-Institute in Germany is now looking into the scientists’ work. DIGAMEXTRA EXCLUSIVE- Andalucia creates new Digital Tech Agency, Located Near the New Google Security Headquarters, What Could Go Wrong?: The Andalucian Government is going to unify their  technology services into a single administrative entity. On the surface that sounds like a good thing considering the government’s notoriously slow administration processes. But there is more to this story when one digs in to it a bit.
Readers will remember that it was reported here a month ago that Google is locating their new worldwide security headquarters in the old Malaga Army Base (DigameXtra 2021/02/14 /#1871). I suggested then that we could expect to see some high-tech programs launched with Malaga as Google’s testing ground.
Now it has been announced that the Digital Agency of Andalucia (Agencia Digital de Andalucía) is being created to coordinate all of Andalucia’s data. That includes a lot of your personal, private info from a variety of the services Andalucia provides: health, financial, legal, etc.
This new agency is moving into a location near the new Google Security Center. Also located in this neighborhood is another new tech arrival; tech firm Dekra has just created their new Global Information Technologies Hub there. This cannot be a mere coincidence, can it?
Here is what Dekra says about itself on it’s homepage, “DEKRA protects people, assets, and our community by providing comprehensive testing, inspection, certification and consulting services around the globe.”
No, it’s not a coincidence; it will probably be a mutually beneficial arrangement. Google and Dekra will offer to manage all of Andalucia’s data collection, organization and storage, as well as testing and inspections of all sorts (personal, business, industrial), and in return all they will want is access to all the data Andalucia has collected on everyone. The Google monster, with its insatiable appetite for ever more data, is now in our backyard.
It will be sold to us with promises of benefits like shorter waits for inspections and appointments, faster processing for payments, documents and applications, and a bunch of other things “for our safety”. At some point you will have to sign a release of some sort, allowing Andalucia to share your data, for you to proceed with whatever official thing you were trying to get done. That is, if they even bother to ask our permission. Most people will sign off on this without hesitation.
What could go wrong?

Latest Windows Update Causing Widespread Printer Problems: Many users have reported problems such as APC_INDEX_MISMATCH errors when attempting to print, blue screens, blank print outs, or missing page elements, so the company has decided to stop issuing the KB5001649 update.
No announcement has been made about the move to pull or postpone the rollout of this problematic update, let alone a workaround, but with the sheer number of highly publicized problems that stemmed from its release, the decision to pull it is not in the least surprising. What is surprising- there is no sign of the printer problems being addressed. If you have no other choice, you may have to undo the recent updates to get back to printing. Government aid plan to compensate for up to 40 per cent of lost income in hard-hit sectors: The government has given the go-ahead for 11 billion euros of support to be paid to businesses most affected by the pandemic, including those in the tourism industry.
It says seven billion of this will be in the form of direct aid, to compensate small and medium firms (SMEs) and the self-employed, in some 100 sectors considered to have been hit hardest by the health crisis, for up to 40 per cent of the loss in income. Other companies will be compensated for up to 20 per cent. Apart from the package of subsidies that will not have to be paid back, other measures will be applied to the whole productive network. Volcano erupts near Iceland’s capital: The eruption occurred near Fagradalsfjall, a mountain on the Reykjanes Peninsula, around 30 km (19 miles) southwest of the capital.
Some four hours after the initial eruption at 2045 GMT – the first on the peninsula since the 12th century – lava covered about one square kilometer or nearly 200 football fields. Unlike the eruption in 2010 of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano, which halted approximately 900,000 flights and forced hundreds of Icelanders from their homes, this eruption is not expected to spew much ash or smoke into the atmosphere.

SARS-CoV-2 variant found in pets, and it may cause heart issues: New studies have revealed that pets — namely dogs and cats — have been identified with SARS-CoV-2 variant infections, and though it hasn’t yet been confirmed, it seems the virus may put the animals at risk of heart issues similar to the ones seen in some human patients. The discovery was made in the UK after veterinarians noticed an unusual spike in the number of pets suffering from a type of heart inflammation called myocarditis. All bars, restaurants and shops in Malaga province can open until 10.30 pm from Friday: Bars, restaurants and shops in all the municipalities across Malaga province can remain open until 10.30pm from this Friday, 19 March.
-The new measure, agreed by the Junta de Andalucía, will be in effect until 9 April if the main pandemic indicators do not worsen.
-The extension of the opening hours is linked to the change in the curfew, which will be delayed one hour and applied between 11pm and 6am. The maximum size for groups continues to be for a maximum of six people, except inside bar and restaurants where they are reduced to four.
-Two municipalities in the province, Colmenar and Gaucín, have to maintain their perimeter lockdown that prevents anyone leaving and entering them – except for justified reasons – for exceeding 500 cases of coronavirus per 100,000 inhabitants over 14 days. Colmenar has a cumulative incidence rate of 528 and Guacín’s is 629.3.
-In addition, the committee decided that the towns in the Costa del Sol and Serranía (de Ronda) health districts should move to level 2, while the health districts Malaga, Guadalhorce, Axarquía and La Vega stay at that level. Zoos, scientists aim to curb people giving virus to animals: “Right now, humans are the main vectors of SARS-CoV-2, with consequences for many animal species,” said Arinjay Banerjee, a disease researcher at McMaster University in Canada.
Great apes such as gorillas, which share 98% of their DNA with humans, are especially susceptible, as are felines. So far, confirmed coronavirus cases include gorillas, tigers and lions at zoos; domestic cats and dogs; farmed mink, and at least one wild mink in Utah.
Scientists have also experimentally shown that ferrets, racoon dogs and white-tailed deer are susceptible, although pigs and cattle are not. Full article: https://apnews.com/article/animals-san-diego-health-coronavirus-pandemic-gorillas-ef6607498782226f58608d7ebfc60d1b

COVID International News Update:
-France today resumed its use of AstraZeneca jabs after Europe’s medical regulator ruled the vaccine is safe. But in an extraordinary move, the country restricted its use to those aged 55 and over due to fears of clots. The move marks complete U-turn on France’s previous position that only under-65s should get the jab. Now, bafflingly, the country says younger people should avoid getting the jab to minimise the risk of life-threatening blood clots – even after Europe’s regulators ruled on Thursday that the risk is vanishingly small and the jab is safe in all ages.
-The WHO reiterated that there is no link between AstraZeneca’s vaccine and blood clots and that the benefits outweigh the risks, saying it has ‘tremendous potential to prevent infections and reduce deaths’.
-Finland became the latest country to suspend its use of AstraZeneca jabs over clot fears, despite regulators saying just hours earlier it was safe to use.
-Norway, Denmark and Sweden announced they will continue to block the use of Astra jabs while they carry out their own investigations into blood clots. Ireland and Iceland have paused the Astra jabs and have not yet reacted to the EU saferty announcement.
-Parisians fled the city hours before a month-long lockdown came into effect, with trains crammed and roads full of traffic
-German health chiefs warned cases are rising exponentially, there are not enough vaccines to stop them, and the country may have to go back into lockdown in the coming weeks. Photo:REUTERS/Flavio Lo Scalzo

Article causes controversy with misleading headline appears in many newspapers, results in hundreds of angry reader comments: This is not about pro vax vs anti vax, it is about news accuracy, of which both sides can agree is desirable. Perhaps you have seen this headline, or something similar: “The autopsy of the Marbella teacher rules out that her death is related to the AstraZeneca vaccine.” Well it’s not that simple if you read the whole article.
At the end of these articles are tucked away these 2 critical paragraphs
-According to «Sur», in the preliminary studies carried out so far no signs of thrombus have been detected in the victim’s body , although we will have to wait for the results of the different microscopic studies that are being carried out from the samples taken.
-The Court of Instruction 1 of Marbella this past Wednesday authorized the study of the corpse, the first preliminary results of which rule out that the teacher’s hemorrhage was connected to the dose of AstraZeneca that she received on March 3, pending the final report of the forensic study.
Thus, the findings are preliminary at best, and significant test results have not yet arrived. A headline saying the autopsy ruled anything out is premature. What it should say is,”… preliminary analysis of early autopsy results suggest vaccine related thrombosis may not have been the cause of death.”
The blame falls on this statement at the beginning of the article:
-The Minister of Health and Families, Jesús Aguirre, has made it clear that “there is no causal relationship” between the administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine and the death of this teacher. And he has affirmed it exhaustively, after expressing his condolences to the family. “It can be said clearly and forcefully that there is no causal relationship between the coronavirus vaccination and her death,” he said, during a visit to Lepe.
For him to say this with such certainty is simply irresponsible at this point. He may be correct, but there is no way to be certain of that until all the test results are in for the experts to consider. However, the papers want sensational headlines, known as “clickbait”, so this is the result. And many Spanish newspaper readers, both pro and anti vax, are calling them out on it. Worldwide Shortage of Computer Chips Causes Computer Shortage, Smartphone Delivery Delays and Auto Manufacture Disruption:
Also known as integrated circuits or more commonly just chips, they may be the tiniest yet most exacting product ever manufactured on a global scale. A combination of cost and difficulty has fostered a worldwide dependence on two Asian powerhouses – Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. and Samsung Electronics Co. – a reliance exacerbated by the pandemic and rising U.S. – China tensions even before the current deficit.
Why are there shortages of chips? A lot, but not all, of the disruption can be tied to the pandemic. The stay-at-home era caused by the coronavirus pushed demand beyond levels projected by chipmakers. Lockdowns spurred growth in sales of laptops to its highest in a decade. Home-networking gear, webcams and monitors were snapped up as office work moved out of the office, and Chromebooks as school left school. Sales also jumped for home appliances from TVs to air purifiers, all of which now come with customized chips.
Some businesses are getting whacked. Chip shortages are expected to wipe out $61 billion of sales for automakers alone this year and delay the production of a million vehicles in the March quarter. Not only cars but possibly a broad spectrum of chip-heavy products from phones to gaming consoles could see shortages or price hikes. NXP Semiconductors NV and Infineon Technologies AG both indicated that supply constraints have spread. Samsung said in March it expects the “serious imbalance” to pose a problem to its business this year. ZOOM Bug Allows Meeting Attendees To See What Other Apps & Windows You Have Open: “When a Zoom user shares a specific application window via the ‘share screen’ functionality, other meeting participants can briefly see contents of other application windows which were not explicitly shared,” SySS researchers Michael Strametz and Matthias Deeg noted. A malicious participant of a Zoom meeting can take advantage of the weakness by making use of a screen capture tool to record the meeting and playback the recording to view the private information. Thus, for instance, if you are in a ZOOM meeting using half your screen and are writing an email in another section of the screen, what you are writing in the email may be captured and viewed by other members of the meeting if they should wish to do so. The lesson: don’t do naughty things on your computer when in a ZOOM meeting. Source: https://thehackernews.com/2021/03/new-zoom-screen-sharing-bug-lets-other.html

As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help:
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.
Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. The euthanasia law passes today the last stage in Congress: {Summary, translated from elpais.com}
Spain will join the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Canada on Thursday as one of the first countries to regulate euthanasia. In Portugal, the Constitutional Court has opposed the law, while in Colombia, the practice is legal, according to a Constitutional Court ruling, but is not regulated. In New Zealand, the law is scheduled to come into force in November. In parts of the United States and Australia the practice is also permitted. The law, which will be ratified by Congress on Thursday, will come into force in three months’ time. To apply, the person must “suffer from a serious and incurable disease or a serious, chronic and disabling condition”.
Unlike the other laws in force, the Spanish law, which is much more protective, establishes a series of steps that can delay the process, from the moment the patient requests it, for more than a month. It begins with the patient’s request, which must be made in writing twice within 15 days. This request must make it clear that the decision is not “the result of any external pressure”.
From this second lawsuit, the patient’s physician must move the request to a commission, that will determine which two professionals, outside the case, examine the request, and, subsequently, will approve or reject the decision that these two specialists to take. The law does not set the composition of this committee, except that it must consist of at least seven people, with specialists from legal, medical, and nursing. This commission should respond in 19 days.

EU agency- AstraZeneca vaccine safe, will add clot warning: In its findings Thursday, the EMA said the overall number of clotting events of various sorts reported since the rollout is lower than what would be expected in the general population.
(The groups receiving the jabs so far were not representitive of the general population, so this is a false comparison. A great many receiving the jab were healthy younger people working in high risk groups, who would be at very low risk of clots in normal circumstances. The clots appearing in this low clot-risk group are what needs to be investigated. -Ed.)
But those very common clots (there are very common clots?) aren’t the kind causing concern. Instead, the EMA said it will continue to look closely at two rare types of blood clots. It cited seven reports of a type that appears in multiple blood vessels and 18 reports of a kind called cerebral venous thrombosis, which occurs in a vein that drains blood from the brain.
That’s out of the 20 million people who have received at least one dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine in Britain and the EU.
Most of those cases were in people younger than 55 and the majority were women, the EMA said.
Experts said it will be critical to uncover if something predisposed those people to these rare clots. For example, before the pandemic, the brain-related clots almost always occurred in people with certain risk factors such as taking birth control pills, or any of a list of underlying conditions that affect clotting. Norwegian experts say deadly blood clots were caused by the AstraZeneca covid vaccine: “Our theory that this is a powerful immune response most likely triggered by the vaccine, has been confirmed”, says professor and chief physician Pål Andre Holme. Three Norwegian health workers under the age of 50 have been hospitalized. One is dead. “We have the reason. Nothing but the vaccine can explain why these individuals had this immune response”, he states.
The Norwegian Medicines Agency does not wish to comment on the conclusions from Oslo University Hospital. “We have to look at the results first, I don’t want to comment on this now”, says Medical Director Steinar Madsen to NTB, The Norwegian News Agency. Spain probing three blood clot cases in recipients of AstraZeneca vaccine: The Spanish Health Ministry on Wednesday said it is investigating three cases of thrombosis among recipients of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, one of whom has died. One of the cases was reported on Monday, and the other two on Tuesday.
The Spanish Medicines and Health Products Agency (AEMPS) is underscoring that thrombosis, or the formation of clots inside blood vessels, “can also occur among the general population.”
But the ministry’s statement adds that “all three cases share the peculiarity that the thrombosis events were associated with lower blood platelet counts. This fact could suggest an abnormal activation of the coagulation system (…caused by the jab…) that might be associated with the formation of blood clots in locations that are unusual.” Full article: https://english.elpais.com/society/2021-03-17/spain-probing-three-blood-clot-cases-in-recipients-of-astrazeneca-vaccine.html

Eight Spanish Police officers admitted to hospital after vaccine: A 44yr old National Police officer in Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, was admitted to hospital with heart spasms following AstraZeneca vaccine. The officer was vaccinated on Wednesday, March 10, and a few days later he began to complain of ear problems that led to a perforated eardrum.
He was admitted to the HLA Jerez Puerta del Sur last Saturday, suffering from heart spasms. According to local Spanish news source, Andalucia Informacion, the police union Jupol confirmed that the man had no previous illnesses.
-Jupol also reported the case of a National Police officer who suffered from facial paralysis and has also received the vaccine, although the officer has not been admitted to hospital.
Another officer was admitted to hospital in Cadiz with thrombophlebitis following the vaccine.
-Two National Police officers in Madrid, another two National Police officers and a Guardia Civil in Valencia, and a member of the Basque police force, the Ertzaintza, have also been admitted to hospital following the vaccine for different complications. Andalusia exceeds 9,000 killed by coronavirus and comes to the thousand contagions: {Translated from sevilla.abc.es}
Updated: 17/03/2021 14:35
-Andalusia has added 48 deaths from the coronavirus on Wednesday, meaning that the region has now passed the 9,000 deaths mark since the start of the pandemic. The figure, which accelerated with the third wave, marks a milestone in the health crisis.
-In the meantime, the number of infections continues unabated. They have been stagnant for two weeks and each day is an almost exact copy of the same day of the previous week. Thus, this Wednesday there are 955 cases and seven days ago there were 977. Yesterday there were 445 and on Tuesday last week there were 579.
-This is immediately reflected in the cumulative incidence of the pandemic, which has risen on Wednesday. The rise is very slight – around one point – but it means that the evolution of the pandemic is no longer downward but oscillates without deciding whether to go up or down. This is a dangerous moment when, moreover, the British variant accounts for more than 90 percent of cases in provinces such as Almería and Granada, precisely those with the worst accumulated incidence figures.
-Seville is the province with the most cases, with 225, followed by Granada with 173, Almeria with 164 and Malaga with 159. The remaining provinces have recorded fewer than 100 positive cases, with 83 in Cadiz, 60 in Cordoba, 54 in Jaen and 37 in Huelva.
-The hospital pressure, after two days of rising as usual on Monday and Tuesday, fell by 53 people on Wednesday. In Andalusia there are currently 1,125 Andalusians hospitalised for coronavirus, 278 of them in the ICU. In intensive care, where there have also been two days of increases in the number of people admitted, there has been a drop of eleven people this Wednesday. Source, Spanish: https://sevilla.abc.es/andalucia/sevi-covid-19-andalucia-supera-9000-muertos-coronavirus-y-vuelve-contagios-202103171154_noticia.html

WHO official calls blood clots ‘very rare’: “I think the reassurance to the public is that regardless of whether or not the committee ultimately assesses that there may be an association between these events and the vaccine, that in any event, these are very rare events,” O’Brien said during a Wednesday news conference. Marbella teacher’s brain haemorrhage death investigated after AstraZeneca vaccination: A 43-year-old woman died this Tuesday, 16 March. She had the AstraZeneca vaccine on 3 March but hours later began to feel unwell and went to the emergency department at the Quirón hospital with a headache and general malaise symptoms. Days later, on 13 March, she returned to the hospital because she continued to feel ill. Medical staff performed a CT scan where they did not find anything significant, but another was performed the next day.
It was then that they detected a massive haemorrhage that they tried to drain in surgery during which they discovered edema – an accumulation of fluid in the brain.
The woman, a mother of two, worked in a school on the Costa del Sol and, reportedly, had no history of medical problems.
