Display Problems in Email Versions of DigameXtra

Hola DigameXtra Readers,

The last few email editions may have had layout problems when viewing in some email clients, especially gmx.com email. I am aware of the problem and will resolve it asap. WordPress seems to have full moon fever. More about that later…

Some readers have asked why pics are not displaying when they read the email editions. This is due to a safety setting in your email page. The fix varies from one email client to another. You need to go to Email Settings, find the setting related to “Load External (or Remote) Content” and enable it. I have provided the Gmail fix below. If you can’t find the setting do this:

Open Google search. Enter “enable external content + Name of your email” in the search box.  Click on a revelent search result and follow the instructions given.

If images aren’t loading in Gmail.

  1. On your computer, go to Gmail.
  2. In the top right, click Open Settings Settings. (The gear symbol)
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Scroll down to the “Images” section.
  5. Click Always display external images.
  6. At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.

Note: If Gmail thinks a sender or message is suspicious, you won’t see images automatically. Instead, you’ll be asked if you want to see the image.

…Back to the Moon. The 27 July 2018 lunar eclipse is a rare central lunar eclipse, where part of the Moon passes through the center of the Earth’s shadow. It is also the longest total lunar eclipse this century, lasting 1 hour and 23 minutes. This powerful total lunar eclipse is also called a blood moon because of the reddish color caused by light being refracted by Earth’s atmosphere.  Source
