How to post more photos than the rules allow – use collages. You can combine several of your photos into a single collage photo by using this free (you need to provide email) online collage creation tool. It’s very easy to use, give it a try! https://www.fotor.com/create/collage/
Correcting flawed submissions: If you send an incorrect submission, or you forget to include the photos, please send in a new, full corrected submission and ask me to ignore the previous, incorrect submission. I am too busy to keep track of partial submissions in different emails and patch them together. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Upcoming Major Spanish Festivals: Come on, have a go! This is part of why you moved here. No excuses, you have plenty of time to make plans. Grab a party outfit at the clothes recycler, add some oddball accessories and you’ll fit right in! Way more fun than simply observing as a tourist, and much better pics to share with friends.
-Carnival, February 23rd. The pre-Lent costume party celebrated throughout Spain.
-Las Fallas, Valencia, March 15th – 19th: Celebrating Saint Joseph, the Patron Saint of Carpenters. Fireworks, bonfires and parades featuring the famous giant papier-mâché models satirizing politicians and popular figures of the day. The “ninots” are eventually burnt with glee at the frenzied conclusion.
-Semana Santa (Holy week), April 5th – 12th: Easter Week, throughout Spain. Assorted processions and passion plays, with Andalucia hosting some of Spain’s most elaborate events.
–April Fair, Seville, April 25th – May 2nd: Two weeks after Easter week every year people break out the traditional costumes, dance Sevillanas and party in the streets during the Feria de Abril.
-Romería de El Rocío (El Rocio Pilgrimage), Almonte, May 31st – June 1st: The most famous of Spain’s Romerias, El Rocio attracts some one million people on a pilgrimage to the Saint, with some travelling on horseback, other by carriage or on foot dressed in traditional flamenco-style outfits. Expect live music, dancing, food and drink until well into the early hours.
The 34th edition of 200 Millas A2 regatta will be held between February 28th and March 1st: Altea’s Club Nautica once again organises the Mediterranean’s most emblematic winter race, an Altea-Ibiza-Altea round trip. The race is also a classifying heat for the Copa de España de Cruceros A2 Spanish championships. It is held at a time of the year when participants face harsh weather conditions at sea, completing a circuit of 200 nautical miles (approximately370.5 kilometres).

Internet Explorer Browser Alert: While this browser is being retired by Microsoft, many people still use it. Microsoft earlier today issued an emergency security advisory warning millions of Windows users of a new vulnerability in Internet Explorer (IE) browser that attackers are actively exploiting in the wild — and there is no patch yet available for it. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary code on targeted computers and take full control over them just by convincing victims into opening a maliciously crafted web page on the vulnerable Microsoft browser.
The affected web browsing software includes — Internet Explorer 9, Internet Explorer 10, and Internet Explorer 11 running on all versions of Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and the recently-discontinued Windows 7.

The mobile text (SMS message) emergency alert system already used in the Netherlands and Belgium is coming to Spain: In the event of a serious incident, the mass warning system will alert people of the danger posed in a specific area and the actions that should be taken to ensure their safety.
Data will be collected from telephone providers in the area of an emergency, an alert will be sent through SMS to mobile phones. This would include situations such as acts of terrorism, bombs, chemical explosions and mass murders. This may also eventually do as in America, and send “Amber Alerts”, in cases of child abduction emergency.
Texts with messages such as ‘Detected chemical accident in XX. Stay at home with the windows closed until further notice’ would be received by registered mobile phone users shortly after the incident occurs.
