El Puente Christian Fellowship is a loving, multi-national, Bible believing community of Christ, who meet each Sunday at 11 am to worship The Lord. We enjoy a time of worship with contemporary songs and traditional hymns, and a message brought to us by one of the Elders or a visiting speaker.
The church meeting hall is situated underneath Maroma Inmobiliaria Puente Don Manuel, Cruce de Periana – 29713.
Full directions and further information can be found on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/El-Puente-Christian-Fellowship-105285888299225/or please contact us by email on elpuentechristianfellowship@gmail.com. Father Louis, our Chaplain, is available for counsel and support, regardless of anyone’s beliefs or background. We aspire to be a welcoming and inclusive community, open to all people seeking faith and friendship.
If you can’t get to church, we live-stream our Sunday services on Facebook, and also gather on Zoom for an informal service on Wednesday mornings.

MOONETTE – Organic Skincare for Mature Skin
We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing.
We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices.
Your skin health matters to us. How you feed your skin is as important as how you feed your body. Why settle for anything less than natural and organic?
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.

Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. COVID-19

Covid Andalucia- {Translation, summary} 03/12/2021 14:39h
-The number of new Covid infections rose to 1,233 cases on Friday, marking a new rise in the incidence curve of the sixth wave, which reached 118 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at 14 days, 28 points higher than a week ago. The pressure on care has been much less intense, with only 7 hospital admissions during the day, bringing the number of hospitalized patients to over 300.
-Proof of the lower clinical impact of the infections is the reduction in the number of ICU admissions, with 59 of the 302 Covid patients hospitalized. The rate of hospital admissions per infected patient continues to fall to 7.03 admissions. For every 100,000 Andalusians, only 3.82 require hospital treatment due to the pandemic.
-Health recorded this Friday 3 deaths due to Covid, located in Almeria, Malaga and Seville. Source, Spanish: https://sevilla.abc.es/andalucia/sevi-sexta-covid-avanza-andalucia-sin-disparar-presion-asistencial-202112031424_noticia.html

SPAIN

Spain has outright rejected making COVID-19 vaccinations compulsory for citizens, after Brussels called for a “common approach” to be considered in the face of the Omicron variant:
The Spanish government said that its high vaccination rate meant it did not need to introduce such drastic measures.
According to Spanish media outlet 20 Minutos, Carolina Darias, the minister of health, ruled out the measure, pointing to the “very high level of public awareness” about the vaccine in the country. The countryside revolts against the Government and announces an intense calendar of protests: The heads of the agricultural organizations Asaja, COAG and UPA, have approved a new process of mobilizations that will be carried out throughout Spain.
Farmers and ranchers across the country will once again take to the streets and highways in all producing areas, calling for rallies, marches and demonstrations, in protest at the crisis that is drowning them. “The brutal rise in production costs and imbalances in the agri-food chain That they prevent the receipt of fair prices at source and that endanger the profitability of the farms are the main arguments of these protests, although not the only ones, “argue the associations in a statement. MALAGA

Alcaucín has the worst cumulative infection rate in the Axarquia, with Macharaviaya and Periana not far behind: {Translation} Dec 3, 2021 11am
-Although health authorities do not dare to consider it a new outbreak, the fact is that in the municipality of Alcaucin, in the interior of the Axarquia in Malaga, the cumulative infection rate of Covid has skyrocketed, going from zero to 438, 8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in just 15 days. In fact, Alcaucín has reported in a week a dozen new infections of coronavirus, when a week ago it did not have a single confirmed case of this virus.
-Thus, since the beginning of the pandemic, Alcaucín has reported a total of 159 cases of coronavirus with 147 people who managed to overcome the disease and 2 deaths. It currently has 10 active cases of Covid-19.
-In Axarquia, only Macharaviaya, with 389.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and Periana, with 323.7, are together with Alcaucin the municipalities with the worst Covid rate in the region. The number of municipalities that exceed the accumulated incidence rate of 100 cases has also doubled. These are, along with those already mentioned, the municipalities of Algarrobo, El Borge, Nerja, Torrox, Rincón de la Victoria and Vélez-Málaga.
-It should be recalled that the Axarquia region has reported a total of 149 new covid infections during the last week, 42 cases more than in the same period of time seven days ago. EUROPE

Germany locks down unvaccinated people, as leaders plan to make shots compulsory: Germany on Thursday announced a nationwide lockdown for the unvaccinated, as its leaders backed plans for mandatory vaccinations in the coming months.
Unvaccinated people will be banned from accessing all but the most essential businesses, such as supermarkets and pharmacies, to curb the spread of coronavirus, outgoing Chancellor Angela Merkel and her successor, Olaf Scholz, announced Thursday, following crisis talks with regional leaders. Those who have recently recovered from Covid-19 are not covered by the ban.
Under the tightened restrictions, unvaccinated people can only meet two people from another household. Bars and nightclubs must shut down in areas with an incidence rate above 350 cases per 100,000 people over one week. And the country would limit the number of people at large events like soccer matches.
The pair also backed proposals for mandatory vaccinations, which if voted through the parliament could take effect from February at the earliest. Full article: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/germany-locks-down-unvaccinated-people-as-leaders-plan-to-make-shots-compulsory/ar-AARo8Cl

COVID-19

Covid Malaga- Malaga’s Covid infection rate rises by 7.1 in one day, with 277 new positives and three deaths:
-The number of new coronavirus infections has risen again in Malaga province this Thursday, 2 December, after a slight decrease on Wednesday. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate has also risen by 7.1 points compared to the day before and reached 124.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
-The Junta de Andalucía’s Ministry of Health and Family has also notified 277 new positive cases in Malaga province (131 more than the day before), three deaths from Covid and 105 patients who have overcome the disease. -The cumulative incidence rate has increased in the six health districts of Malaga province. Five of them already exceed 100 infections per 100,000 population, which means they are classed at “medium risk”, according to the criteria set by the Ministry of Health. ANDALUCIA

The TSJA rejects the implementation in Andalusia of the Covid passport although it understands the measure: {Translation}
-The Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Andalusia, based in Granada, has agreed not to ratify the order regarding the COVID certificate or diagnostic test for access to healthcare centers and residences. Despite considering that the measure proposed by the Junta de Andalucía complies with the requirements of proportionality, necessity and suitability, and that there is little restriction of fundamental rights, it does not ratify the order as it does not have a time limit on its validity.
-In this sense, the resolution points out that the justification of the measure must not be limited to its proportionality, necessity and suitability, but “it must also contain sufficient motivation regarding its validity in time”. AstraZeneca uncovers what’s triggering rare blood clots after its jab:
Scientists believe they have solved the mystery behind the extremely rare blood clots caused by the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.
A team of international experts, involving researchers from AstraZeneca, say that in a very small number of cases, about one in 100,000 in the UK, the vaccine can set off a chain reaction which leads to the body confusing its own blood platelets for fragments of virus.
They found that the shell of the vector vaccine, the weakened cold virus used to teach cells how to neutralise Covid, sometimes acts like a magnet and attracts platelets, a protein found in the blood.
But they stress this is extremely rare, with only 426 cases in the UK recorded the cases so far out of about 50million doses of the vaccine, equivalent to less than one in 100,000. The side effect has been linked to 73 deaths in the UK. Full article: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10266585/AstraZeneca-uncovers-trigger-blood-clots-jab.html

ANDALUCIA

The whole of Andalucía remains at Covid health alert Level 0 – with no new capacity or opening hour restrictions: The whole of the Andalucía region will remain at coronavirus health alert Level 0, it was decided this Wednesday, 1 December.
As a result no new measures have been adopted to limit capacity or hours in bars and restaurants in an attempt to stop the transmission of the coronavirus.
The indications are that the next meetings of the Junta’s territorial committees will probably now be held after the long ‘puente’ of public holidays, which includes Constitution Day on Monday and the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday. Tennis News- Inspired Djokovic powers Serbia into Davis Cup semi-finals: Imperious Novak Djokovic sent Serbia into a Davis Cup semi-final against Croatia as the world number one inspired a comeback victory over Kazakhstan in Madrid on Wednesday.
Serbia had their backs to the wall when Kazakh veteran Mikhail Kukushkin beat debutant Miomir Kecmanovic in a three-hour epic in the first singles rubber.
But Djokovic calmly levelled the tie with a straight-sets defeat of Alexander Bublik before returning to court to team up with Nikola Cacic and beat Kazakh pair Andrey Golubev and Aleksandr Nedovyesov 6-2 2-6 6-3. WTA suspends tournament play in China over concern for Peng Shuai’s safety: In the strongest public stand against China taken by a sports body, the head of the women’s professional tennis tour announced Wednesday that all WTA tournaments there would be suspended because of concerns about the safety of Peng Shuai, a Grand Slam doubles champion who accused a former government official of sexual assault.
Peng dropped out of public view after raising the allegations about former vice premier Zhang Gaoli in a Nov. 2 social media posting that was quickly taken down by Chinese authorities. OTHER

Edge Browser- Users rage against Microsoft for integrating ‘buy now, pay later’ app into Edge: Microsoft announced plans a few weeks ago to build the Zip app directly into its Edge browser. The short-term financing service gives users the option to sign up on checkout pages when they enter their credit card number. It also appears as a prompt on a web page in some cases.
Zip appears when Edge detects you’re about to buy something priced between $35 and $1,000. There are no up-front payments, and it’s all interest-free—you just make four payments over six weeks. Zip charges $1 per payment, adding $4 to the total cost, and while that’s a good deal when paying $1,000, it’s an extra 11% when buying something for $35.
In addition to what appears to be greediness on Microsoft’s part and the fact that this is adding more bloatware to Edge, there are also security concerns around Zip’s addition. Moreover, it has the potential to land some people in financial difficulties.
Microsoft made Edge a much more appealing prospect when it officially moved to a Chromium-based version last year, but nagging Bing alerts and third-party integrations haven’t helped its cause. Halting Erosion using Vetiver:
From Vetiver Spain in Sayalonga
Our Nursery is open by appointment. Please email or call first. We have Moringa seedlings, Organic Moringa powder and Comfrey plants. We also have some local trees and some exotic trees from Africa.
Vetiver is a rapid growing and non-invasive sterile clump grass with a height of 1-2 metres and a root system of 3-4 metres in depth. We have been providing Vetiver throughout the EU for almost 10 years now. We are located in Sayalonga where we can plant year round but our best results by far start in February. The reason is that Vetiver is indigenous to India and Vetiver loves the heat of the summer. Use Vetiver cuttings as mulch around all of your fruit trees. Decomposing Vetiver improves soil quality, keeps the weeds down and the insects away all while helping to maintain soil moisture.
Vetiver is a nutritious and replenishable animal fodder. Horses and pigs love it. We use it in our chicken pens replacing hay because it stops mites.
In the 2 photos below you will see land prepared for Vetiver and the results 2 years later.
We also use Vetiver along driveways and sidewalks. It also makes a great and inexpensive ornamental hedge.
Here is a link to a short video showing the results.
https://youtu.be/rjTmb_LL2uo
We suggest planting now, as this is the BEST time of the year to plant.
To see more images of Vetiver go to this link.

PCR tests and self-isolation are back for travelers arriving in the UK: Weeks after international travel rules were eased to allow cheaper and faster lateral flow (antigen) tests, the government has tightened restrictions once again in response to the spread of the omicron variant of coronavirus. Spain to stop unvaccinated Brits arriving from Wednesday: Spain is to ban all unvaccinated Brits from entering the country from Wednesday after the new Omicron variant was discovered in England.
According to the Government the change will come in from December 1 and will impact everyone aged 12 and over who plans to travel to the UK’s most popular holiday destination.
Currently anyone travelling to Spain from the UK needs to show either a negative coronavirus test or proof showing they have been double-jabbed.
But the rules will now change after three cases of the Omicron coronavirus strain were discovered in the UK – one is Essex, one in Nottingham, and one in London.
A message posted on the Gov.uk website states: “From December 1, all arrivals to Spain from the UK (excluding children under the age of 12 years old) must present proof of vaccination.”
From December anyone arriving in Spain will also have to fill out a health control form and show their vaccination record.
Travellers will have to show they have had both of their jabs at least 14 days before arriving in the country. Full article: https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/spain-to-stop-unvaccinated-brits-arriving-from-wednesday/ar-AARdQCq

EUROPE

Greece to fine over-60s who refuse Covid-19 vaccine: Fines of €100 (£85) will be imposed at monthly intervals from mid-January on those who refuse, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said.
The money will go towards the Greek health system, which is struggling with a surge in hospital admissions.
About 63% of Greece’s 11-million population is fully vaccinated, but data show more than 520,000 people over 60 are yet to get the jab.
“Greeks over the age of 60… must book their appointment for a first jab by January 16,” the premier said in a statement to the cabinet.
“Their vaccination is henceforth compulsory.”
The measure is still to be put to a parliamentary vote, he said, but lawmakers are widely expected to approve it. Full article: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-59474808

ANEDA looking for new members: Nerja Art group ANEDA is looking for new members. From the 1st of December we will be based in a brand new work space in Calle Granada, right next to the Culture Centre in the heart of Nerja. Passersby can look in and see all the paintings and activities.
” Our aim is to promote art in the region. We organize exhibitions in and around Nerja, hold drawing and painting classes for children and adults and organise workshops” says Laura Viqueira Niel, the enthusiastic leader of the ANEDA group. “At the moment we have 36 members, young and old, national and international, painters and sculptors, who all work in different mediums, sizes and styles. A wonderful mix! We are supported by the local council.”
“ Even though ANEDA has grown steadily and we welcomed 11 new members this year, we still are looking for more members. We are all amateurs but with a passion for art. Like minded people can contact us. Everybody is welcome.”
-First exhibition in new location
The first member to exhibit in the new ANEDA home is Carmen Aros, a Chilean abstract artist. Her exhibition will be on until the end of December, followed by Nadia Ayoub who will be exhibiting until the 15th of January. Every 2 weeks another ANEDA artist will exhibit here.
-Collective exhibition in Calle Cristo
At the moment ANEDA also has an exhibition showing a few works of each member in the Sala Municipal in Calle Cristo. This exhibition gives a good overview of work by ANEDA artists. The gallery is open everyday from 11.30 until 2pm and in the evening from 5.30 to 8.30pm. The exhibition finishes on the 11th December 2021.

COVID-19

Madrid hospital detects Spain’s first case of the Omicron variant, Portugal has 13: The microbiology service at the Gregorio Marañón hospital in Madrid has reported the first case of the Omicron variant of the Covid virus detected in Spain this Monday, 29 November.
The patient is a 51-year-old man who flew in from South Africa via Amsterdam on 28 November, the Madrid regional health service has confirmed.
The health authority is keeping the close contacts of the passenger on the flight to Madrid from the Dutch capital under “epidemiological surveillance”, it said.
It seemed only a matter of time before the Omicron variant would reach Spain, with 13 cases already reported in Portugal and dozens around Europe. Full article: https://www.surinenglish.com/spain/madrid-hospital-detects-20211129180108-nt.html

Covid Spain- Incidence has increased by almost 30 points since Friday and is now close to 200 cases per 100,000: {Translation, summary} 19Nov21 6:30pm
-The incidence reaches 199.02 points after the weekend for the first time since the first week of September. This is an increase of almost thirty cases compared to Friday, figures not seen since September 3, when 198.25 cases per 1000,000 inhabitants were recorded. The curve has been declining for months, although it now seems to be gradually recovering an upward trend. Spain continues to be in the medium risk range for coronavirus infection, according to the criteria of the new COVID traffic light of the Ministry of Health.
-Navarra continues to top the list of communities with the highest incidence and this Monday recorded a rate of 571.84 points. It is followed by the Basque Country, with 446.16 cases per 100,000 inhabitants; and Aragon, with 348.43 incidence points. Catalonia, with 5,179 infections; the Basque Country, with 2,442; and Andalusia, with 1,742 positives, are the regions reporting the greatest increase in infections after the weekend.
-With respect to the number of infections by coronavirus, public Health has notified 22.911 positive since Friday, while the previous Monday was registered 15.875 contagions.
– The hospital data also show an upward trend, and recorded data which has not been seen since mid-September. The percentage of occupancy of beds once again exceeded the 3% (3,05%), while the percentage of occupancy in the ICU for patients with COVID increases nearly a point with respect to the Friday (7,33%).
-Reports are 53 people have died this weekend from Covid.

Andalusia prepares to enter the Level 1, medium alert zone for Covid: {Translation, summary} Updated: 29/11/2021, 17:31
-Andalusia will see this Wednesday the territorial alert committees meet to define the health districts that will have to recover some kind of minor restrictions in response to the rise of the accumulated incidence, which on Monday saw some communities rise above 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a limit that according to the new “traffic light” would place the community in medium risk alert.
-Cordoba with 132 cases, Huelva (130), Almeria (113) and Malaga (111) exceed the regional average.
-In the case of areas that return to Level 1, these may see the return capacity and schedule limitations, according to the extraordinary BOJA of September 29.

Barbados drops Queen Elizabeth II and becomes world’s newest republic: Celebrations are underway in Barbados as the Caribbean island throws off its colonial shackles to become the world’s newest republic, with an elected president as head of state.
Barbados became independent in 1966 but retained Queen Elizabeth II as sovereign. Last year Barbados announced it was replacing her with its own head of state in time for its 55th independence anniversary on 30 November 2021.
Famed for its beaches and love of cricket, Barbados will sever its final imperial links to Britain on Monday by replacing its former head of state, Queen Elizabeth II, with her current representative, Governor-General Sandra Mason.
In October, Barbados elected Mason to become its first-ever president, one year after Prime Minister Mia Mottley declared the country would “fully” leave its colonial past. Full article: https://www.euronews.com/2021/11/29/barbados-drops-queen-elizabeth-ii-and-becomes-world-s-newest-republic

By the way…$11.8 billion. That’s how much Dorsey is worth, according to a Forbes estimate. Recommendations & Requests

Sliding Window Drafts: Is there anyone out there who can fix sliding patio type windows, in the bedroom, letting in drafts, if you can, or know someone who can, please contact 622480546, I am in Colmenar. Kathryn. Thank you.

Thank You: Just to let you know that from my post on DigameXtra regarding a food processor, I had 3 offers. The magic of DigameXtra is a positive thing. So I would like to thank Sigrid and Judith for their kind offers but I have accepted an offer from Bill and Sheila who, subject to a discussion with their friends David and Ian, offered me their Magimix food processor, free of charge.
This was overwhelmingly generous as these machines are expensive. I am blown away with their kindness.
So thank you so very much, Bill, Sheila, David and Ian.
As you know the Phoenix club supports local charities such as La Cruz Roja and every year (usually) we make a cash donation to them. Our home bake sales raise much needed funds for this and other causes we support, so thank you for that too. So this gift will be much loved and used.
And thanks to the magic of Naythan and DigameXtra!

-The price of electricity in the wholesale market (pool) has been set for Monday, November 29, at 215 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), which represents an increase of almost 14 euros compared to the price set for this Sunday (201.42 euros).
-In the comparison with last Monday, the 22nd, the price of electricity for tomorrow is 9% lower (236.51 euros/MWh), but more than double the price recorded on the first Monday of November, the 1st (91.20 euros/MWh).

DoctorLaptop’s Tips #95
What Windows 10 & 11 Users Need To Know About Anti-Virus Programs and Apps: {By DoctorLaptop}
-You need to have some type of protection from malware and trackers.
-New anti-virus software is designed for newer machines. The industry expects people to replace their computers every 3 to 5 years. They are not really interested in supporting older machines for individual users; that takes a lot more effort, when their target customers are businesses that buy thousands of copies at a time for newer computers.
-If your computer is under 3 years old with at least 8Gb of RAM you can use whatever anti-virus you choose and it should not effect your computer performance much. Your up-to-date processor should be able to accommodate most anti-virus programs. You don’t need to read the rest of this unless you believe your computer is slower than it should be.
-If your computer is more than 3 years old, or has less than 8Gb of RAM, please continue reading.
-Windows 10 & 11 both have Windows Defender Antivirus pre-installed. This is sufficient for most users. Windows Defender Antivirus ranks in the top 5 of most lists of FREE anti-virus program malware detection ratings by independent analysts. (ref: https://www.neowin.net/news/av-test-confirms-windows-defender-is-amongst-the-very-finest-antiviruses-you-get-in-2021/).
-All anti-virus programs slow your device. For this reason you do not want a bloated third-party program, loaded with features that you will never use, yet still run in the background, slowing the computer and popping up ads and pointless messages. Windows Defender has the least of these annoyances.
-The main reason to use a 3rd party anti-virus program is if you do on-line banking  and/or on-line purchases frequently. In that case you may want better protection than Windows Defender, but you will need to pay to get something better than what you already have, and it will slow your overall performance. The two I recommend, that have the best detection rates and the least effect on performance are (not affiliate links)
Kaperski Internet Security: https://www.kaspersky.co.uk/internet-security
Bitdefender Internet Security: https://www.bitdefender.co.uk/solutions/
-If you have more than one 3rd party anti-virus installed (not including Windows Defender) they will block each other from working correctly. If you have a third party anti-virus program, and you remove it, Windows Defender will resume protecting your computer when you restart the device.
-If you have a 3rd party anti-virus installed, you must completely uninstall it before you change to another. This is now a 2 step process. Previously you could simply use the Windows uninstaller in Settings to remove anti-virus programs, but that is no longer the case. Now, after you do the uninstall, you need to go to the website of that anti-virus program, and download their uninstaller clean-up tool. Even if the website says it is only necessary to use the tool for failed uninstalls, use it anyway! It cleans up left behind registry entries that CCleaner or similar registry cleaners cannot access. These registry spaces need to be empty for the next anti-virus program to install properly. The tool names vary from brand to brand, and some brands make finding the uninstall clean-up tool hard to find; if you can’t find it, email me and I will email it to you in an attachment. Pay attention while using this tool, and closely look at every option before proceeding, you do NOT want to just click thru this!
-Be careful if using the “Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool”, as it will try to trick you into reinstalling Norton as part of the cleanup. Do not click a button labelled “Remove & Reinstall”, there is another option to just uninstall below that button.
-When setting up a new Windows computer you will often see McAfee has been preinstalled. Actually, that is only the install app for McAfee, not the program it’s self. If you don’t want McAfee installed, uninstall this installer app. As long as you never run that app, you can uninstall it without the need to use the uninstall clean up tool.

Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. To help reduce pollution we are asking all local customers to recycle or reuse their Moonette skincare containers, and offering a small discount on future purchases to customers recycling containers.
Free small testers are available on request. Please contact us to find out more or to order:

Covid Travel Questions: Hello, I wonder if anyone out there can help me please. We are going to the UK for Christmas and have been told we cannot take presents for our grandchildren as they have to be declared and duty paid on them. Is this correct?
Also, we got a certificate off our doctor for the two covid jabs but cannot get one for the booster, could anyone please tell us how to obtain this certificate. Many thanks, Harry, Malaga.

Huge lava flow from new fissure on La Palma volcano: A new fissure has opened up today, Thursday, November 25, on the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Canary Island of La Palma. This news was announced by Involcan, the Canary Islands Volcanological Institute, on their official Twitter account at around 5.15 local Canarian time.
This new opening is located to the south of the volcano’s main core, and according to Involcan, is already emitting a large volume of lava. It is thought this new opening could well lead to more fissures opening up. The new stream is flowing at around 600m/hour, and unfortunately is heading in the direction of more of the island’s infrastructure.
Its rapid flow has already buried Las Manchas cemetery this afternoon, and destroyed another 40 properties including farmhouses and their surrounding farmland. The photovoltaic plant is also under threat, as the stream destroys everything in its way. New COVID variant Omicron triggers global alarm, market sell-off: The discovery of a new coronavirus variant named Omicron triggered global alarm on Friday as countries rushed to suspend travel from southern Africa and stock markets on both sides of the Atlantic suffered their biggest falls in more than a year.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) said Omicron may spread more quickly than other forms, and preliminary evidence suggested there is an increased risk of reinfection.
Epidemiologists warned travel curbs may be too late to stop Omicron from circulating globally. The new mutations were first discovered in South Africa and have since been detected in Belgium, Botswana, Israel and Hong Kong. In the quantum world, time does not flow as it does in the classical:
Time always advances forward, at least in the classical world, but it is a statement that does not have to be true in the quantum world, where the border between forward and backward may be blurred according to a study published today by Communications Physics. A team of researchers from the Universitat de les Illes Balears (Spain), Bristol (UK) and Vienna have shown how quantum systems can evolve simultaneously along two opposite temporal arrows, both forwards and backwards in time. The study requires rethinking how the flow of time is understood and represented in contexts where quantum laws play a crucial role.
