Nerja Sea – Pollution ? Responses
I see in Saturday’s Digamextra, that the Nerja sewage is still around – that is what happens when you s*** in the sea, despite all the plans for treatment and ‘Blue Flag’ beaches. Let’s be realistic. It is never safe to discharge raw sewage into the sea and lame excuses like ‘broken pipes’ won’t protect you. You may be interested to see my casual little film from 2011 – nothing has changed and if you must venture in keep your mouth closed !

Volunteer Dog Walkers Needed
APA Nerja are desperately seeking foster carers and walkers for our shelter dogs
At present we have over 50 dogs in the shelter… 10 of them are small puppies and really should be in foster care.. however we do what we can for them
Mostly we need people who are willing to walk a dog
Holiday makers or residents it doesn’t matter
Our group walks are starting at 8.30 due to the heat but you would just need to come with us once or twice and then can walk whatever time you like between 8.30 and 1…
We walk down to Playazo and back to shelter… takes about an hour..
Because of the lack of walkers we have been going back with one lot and taking another to give them all at least one walk a week … but it’s getting too hot now after about 10.30

YOU would not be able to walk barefoot on the sweltering pavements, neither can they .

Michael Walsing ASTA., came to my rescue and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
He is a qualified pool plant operator, has a wealth of experience and is extremely knowledgably and well versed in anything and everything to do with pools, hot tubs etc. If you have a pool cleaner or your do it yourself, Mike’s services is an even more invaluable for expert maintenance, health and safety.
It is so important to get your pool professionally checked, on a regular basis, and serviced by an industry professional.
Recommendation Needed please- Does anyone know about Macerators???
I had two new ones installed in kitchen and bathroom when I moved into this property in March!
Since then I am getting a putrid smell every now and then coming up through the plug holes in bath and sink I think …and the water in bath doesn’t empty very quickly leaving scum in the bottom
Getting fed up with the smell as it drifts into my bedroom as well particularly if I run the air on it heat ….can anyone help???
Or do you know anyone that is good with these things ?

What’s On – Please Give us More Time
I often see events advertised on Digame that are happening on the same day that Digame is published. I counted at least 5 such events in the last few days.
I’m not sure about other people, but my wife and I plan our activities a few days (or sometimes weeks) in advance. So, for us, it’s no use telling me about something that’s on today as I probably have other plans.

Wanted – Ladder
Does anyone have a 7 to 8 metre high ladder I may be able to borrow for a week please?
I’m happy to pay a reasonable hire charge if necessary.
I’m reluctant to buy one as I don’t have anywhere to store it, and have help from a friend from England to paint a couple of 5.5 metre high walls, that have been waiting a long time for attention.
We have use of a 3.5 metre ladder but this is way too short for these walls, and Spanish scaffold doesn’t fit into the tight patio space!

As of today, I will accept Ads for health professionals, therapies, medical treatments etc.etc. ONLY if the person concerned can provide a Licence Number to operate here in Spain in the text of the ad.
For Example:
“Services Offered, Physiotherapist, Tom Jones, lic. #12345, reg. with Madrid Board of Certified Physiotherapists”
This is perfect!
If a full name and license number is provided then readers can verify with the licence issuer the current qualifications of the submitter and see if they have received any disciplinary actions.
