By EU internet law you may not submit for publication another person’s email address in an ad sent from your email account, only the email address of the sender is allowed. This is to prevent a variety of scams. Sorry, I know some people think they are doing a favor for another by posting an ad for them. If you do this you must send it from the email account of the person who you are helping.

Torrox Spanish History Group: The Torrox Spanish History Group meets every first Tuesday of the month at El Parquesol restaurant in El Morche at 11am. We are a friendly and enthusiastic group of people who are dedicated to learning about the History of Spain. Members themselves are encouraged to give talks on a particular area of History which they enjoy. Talks can be about a particular area of history an historical event or a person; a work of art or literature. Members are also encouraged to participate and help in the running of the group as well as giving talks. We also go on trips to places of historical interest but which are easy to get to by bus or by car however for the future I will be looking at Historical sites further afield which would require an over night stay. Our last trip was to the museum in Velez Malaga. Well worth the effort. Everything was in English as well as Spanish and the display ranged from prehistory, the Phoencians and Romans artifacats to modern times. Also many of the items were from lots of different sites in and around the area of Torrox. This month we have a talk on the Inquisition and also the second part of a series of talks on the Romans. Car trade-in advice wanted: We are contemplating changing our car.We currently have a 10 year old Peugot 308. It has done 55,000 miles.  It is right hand drive.When we imported it into Spain it was necessary to have complete(new) front & rear lights;to comply with Spain regs. We have,however, kept the original lights in case of the car being returned to UK. We haven’t a clue where that leaves us in terms of selling or trading in the vehicle. Could anyone offer any advice please?

One pic per item or event only, readers can email you for more. Three For Sale items per day max. Include all sale items/pics for that day in single email. For Sale items must include a price.
Photos & Documents- .jpeg, .jpg or .png formats only. Pics printed as received, check to be sure it is right side up! No PDFs or Word documents.
Keep Submissions As Short As Possible- If you have more than a paragraph of text content just submit a short description and a link to a site where interested readers can find it.
Re-Submissions- What’s On events may post once a week, Services Offered once a month. Sale items previously posted must wait 1 month before re-submitting, and the price must have been lowered by at least 20%.
Put your post header in the “subject” line of the email (RE:).
Capital Letters – Please don’t write anything in ALL CAPITALS!
Bars, Bands, Restaurants Clubs & Charities – Please limit your entries to One per Week! I suggest you list your programme of events & send it Tue/ Wed for inclusion in the Thursday Issue. You will get better results if you give folks 2 or 3 days advance notice of an upcoming event so they can plan in advance.
Identification Information from Everyone – I will not publish your submission unless you have included your first name and location. I can get your email address from your submission.
Health Professionals- Your submissions must include a Licence Number and name the issuing authority. You may offer a lecture on healing without credentials, but to offer healing as a service credentials are required. Why? Sorry to say, but there have been several submissions making false credential claims. This way you can verify it for yourself. So this is for the protection of all. -Ed.
Recommendations- I am accepting recommendations again, but only if submitter includes their own name, town and email!
