-Next trip to Gibraltar is on Friday 7th September. Price? €12pp which includes the Driver’s gratuity. Have you visited the Zoo at Castellar de la Frontera? If you haven’t you will be in for a treat. There are a range of big and small animals and birds (tigers, panther, lions, flamingos, ostriches, parrots, rabbits, turtles, monkeys to name a few). You are able to feed some of these the food you can buy at reception – keep the pumpkin seeds for the bird area although the monkeys like these too. This is not a slick zoo, there is some upkeep that needs doing and some of the water pools needed topping up, but the animals do look healthy and looked after. You can watch the tigers – in and out of the water (you can see them in the water through glass and above the water from a viewing area) The highlight is the bird/small mammal area that you can go into. The birds will sit on you and eat food from your hand. Be warned they don’t always want to let go… There are also rabbits, iguanas, a peacock (albino?) and tortoises among other animals that you are able to touch.
Date? Friday 14th September and price? €30pp includes entry to the Zoo with Guide (€13pp) and driver’s gratuity
