If you rely on your computer and want it running at peak performance, free of data collectors and trackers, an annual professional servicing is necessary. You wouldn’t drive your car till it runs out of oil before servicing it, would you? I do the most comprehensive cleaning and tune-up possible: verify all System files replacing any found to be corrupt, test all hardware and do hard disk sector repairs if needed, use 5 tool malware/adware/spyware/tracker removal protocol, clean out junk files/logs/history/etc., update Windows + all drivers + programs, and finally optimize your settings and registry for fastest overall performance.
Heavily infected comps, computers taking more than 2 minutes to startup or shutdown, or showing error messages, those need a repair, not a maintenance service. HDD hard disks of 1000Gb or more add €10.

ANDALUCÍA
If the migrant normalization is such a great plan, why is VitiVinum having “enormous difficulty” in finding day labourers for the grape harvest in Montilla-Moriles, in Córdoba?: {Trans, summary}
– In Córdoba’s Montilla-Moriles wine region, the VitiVinum collective has sounded the alarm over a severe and worsening shortage of grape harvest workers, which threatens to delay the 2026 vintage, reduce grape quality, increase costs, and leave some plots unpicked. The group points to a structural mismatch between agricultural needs and the current system of unemployment benefits and subsidies, which may discourage temporary job acceptance. They stress that social protection should not penalize legal work with fair wages, and that employment should remain financially attractive.
– Adding to the problem is a paradoxical situation: many foreign residents, particularly Latin Americans, are eager to work but cannot be legally hired because their paperwork is not in order. VitiVinum urges authorities to create urgent, legal pathways for temporary work authorization for these residents, while also improving coordination between public employment programs (like PFEA and municipal plans) and strategic harvest campaigns. They call for stronger job intermediation services and a review of benefit rules to ensure that accepting a seasonal job is economically beneficial. Ultimately, they demand swift, coordinated action from all levels of government to secure the harvest, protect vineyards, and foster legal employment and integration.
– While the Spanish government has pursued a high-profile policy of mass regularization for approximately 500,000 to 800,000 undocumented migrants so far, driven by labour market needs and a stated commitment to social justice, the situation in Montilla-Moriles exposes a critical disconnect in its implementation. The regularization decree was designed to “activate the hidden labour supply” and combat exploitation by bringing informal workers into the legal economy. However, as VitiVinum’s complaints make clear, the system is failing to connect this new legal workforce with pressing agricultural demands. The paradox is that although many migrants are willing and available to work, and the administration has pledged to streamline procedures, viticulturists report that bureaucratic hurdles still prevent legal hiring. To be effective, the regularization must be accompanied by functional, localized intermediation and swift authorization processes, a need that the government’s stated goal of protecting “dignity and recognition” for migrants was supposed to address . The current disconnect suggests that national policy and on-the-ground administrative realities remain tragically out of sync, leaving vital harvests at risk. Moreno asks the Government to “put all its resources into place” for the return of migrants in Ceuta “to their place of origin”: {Trans}
– The president of the Andalusian Regional Government, Juanma Moreno (PP), has advocated for the return to their place of origin of “all those who entered Ceuta illegally.” In this regard, he has asked the central government to “dedicate all its resources” to achieving this objective “as quickly as possible.”
– “The Spanish government and the European Commission have said something with which I agree: that each and every migrant must return to their point of origin and, therefore, must leave the city of Ceuta. {The Spanish gov’t has also contradicted this, declaring they are shipping 500 migrant girls to the mainland within 2 weeks. -Ed.} That is the objective, and there is no other,” he stated this Thursday in a press conference alongside the president of the autonomous city, Juan Jesús Vivas.
– Along these lines, he has insisted that the central government “meet this objective in a short enough time” so that it “does not continue to distort the economic and social life and the peace of the citizens of Ceuta.”
– Moreno also warned of a possible “pull factor with unforeseen future consequences.” “I believe it would be a disservice if those who have set their sights on entering our country illegally were to succeed,” he stated.
– Asked about the opposition of the second vice president of the Junta, Manuel Gavira (Vox), to the distribution of migrant minors in Ceuta to the mainland, Moreno pointed out that the government agreement, between PP and Vox, includes “respect for the current law” on the matter.
– In a statement to the media this Thursday in Algeciras (Cadiz), Gavira stressed the Andalusian government’s opposition “by land, sea and air” to the distribution of unaccompanied migrant children announced by the Spanish government after the Ceuta crisis, asserting that these children “must be with their parents and in their country.” Source, Spanish: https://www.europapress.es/ceuta-y-melilla/noticia-moreno-pide-gobierno…
MALAGA PROVINCE
Old Folks Boogie – The older population of Malaga will grow seven times more than the working-age group in the next decade– a demographic and labour “challenge”: {Trans, summary}
– Over the next decade, Malaga’s elderly population will increase seven times faster than its working-age cohort, creating a major demographic and labour challenge. While Andalusia as a whole will lose nearly 290,000 people of working age (16–64) by 2040, Malaga and Almeria are exceptions, actually gaining working-age residents, as well as a much greater rise in elderly residents.
– Malaga’s total population will rise by 140,495 to over 2.05 million, with the working-age group growing modestly by 16,938 (+1.3%). In stark contrast, the over-64 population will surge by 132,845 (+33%) – a sevenfold difference.
– The Adecco Foundation warns that this imbalance will shrink the professional talent pool, make it harder to fill job vacancies, and cause loss of knowledge and experience as baby boomers retire.
– The 50–64 age segment will remain a third of the potential workforce and outnumber younger adults (20–34) throughout the period.
– To address this, the Foundation urges inclusion of disabled people, at-risk women, and other marginalised groups, plus retention of senior staff, skills updating, and orderly migration linked to real labour needs. Although Malaga’s overall demographic growth is positive, the rapid ageing presents a serious structural challenge for employers and social protection systems. Trump threatens ‘Economic D-Day’ for Iran and ‘tremendous’ consequences for its backers:
– President Donald Trump said the U.S. will launch what he called the “most crushing economic operation ever taken against any country” against Iran, threatening severe financial penalties on any nation that helps Tehran evade sanctions. In a Truth Social post, Trump said that “this will be Economic Warfare and Isolation on an unprecedented scale.”
– He said any country whose financial institutions, businesses, airports, or government entities offer Iran a “lifeline” will face what he described as tremendous economic consequences of their own.
The president named oil smuggling, currency swap lines, cash transfers, exchange houses, ship registries and front companies as channels he wants shut down immediately, stressing that Iran will never be permitted to acquire a nuclear weapon. “It all needs to stop NOW. You know who you are,” Trump said of those who continue to trade with or maintain economic ties with Iran. “This will be an ECONOMIC D-DAY, and we need all of our Allies to stand with the United States of America to isolate, and defeat, the Iran threat.” Full article: https://www.cnbc.com/2026/08/19/us-iran-war-trump-hormuz-economic-warfare.html

Iran Hits Back at Trump’s Threat of a ‘Crushing’ Economic ‘D-Day’ Campaign:
– Iranian officials have dismissed President Donald Trump’s threat to launch what he called the “most crushing economic operation”against Tehran, as the nearly six-month war enters a new phase of economic pressure and negotiations between the two countries remain stalled.
– Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called the move a “diversion from America’s own crisis: unprecedented debt & surging interest costs.” “Doubling down on failed policies will only bring further defeat- and enmity of Iranians. U.S. economic terrorism threatens global economy and sovereignty worldwide,” he said Thursday morning. The U.S. national public debt surpassed $40 trillion threshold this week.
– Iran’s deputy foreign minister Kazem Gharibabadi similarly took aim at Trump’s rhetoric, arguing that the President’s threats have become less relevant as the conflict, which began on Feb. 28, approaches its six-month mark. “They claim Iran is on the brink of collapse and hanging by a thread, yet they beg all their allies to help them! The problem is the wrong calculations that, each time to cover them up, they’re forced to create a bigger failure for themselves,” he said Thursday on social media. “The military war didn’t yield results, so now they’ve named the next failure “economic war”.” Full article: https://time.com/article/2026/08/20/iran-hits-back…

Remember that iconic version of ‘Going Up The Country’ by Canned Heat at Woodstock? Here is the original, from 1928: YouTube Link (Henry Thomas – Going Up The Country, 1928)
– Henry Thomas – Bull Doze Blues (1928)
Also known as “Going Up The Country”.
This is the original recording of the legendary country blues song by Texas musician Henry “Ragtime Texas” Thomas.
Recorded on June 13, 1928 in Chicago, the song was originally titled “Bull Doze Blues”.
In 1968, the band Canned Heat adapted the melody and the iconic quills (cane flute) sound, rewrote the lyrics into a peaceful back-to-the-country anthem, and released it as “Going Up The Country”. Their version became a major hit and one of the anthems of the Woodstock generation.
That’s why this video uses the more popular title – so that people searching for Canned Heat’s version can discover this wonderful original from the 1920s.
A timeless piece of American blues history. Enjoy!
