The festival will feature 18 aircraft on display, distributed among six civilian, four institutional, and eight military teams. The police chief of Rincón de la Victoria believes that someone from within the force stole the pistols: {Trans, summary}
– Tensions rose at the Rincón de la Victoria Town Hall during an extraordinary plenary session requested by the opposition. The Chief Inspector of the Local Police, Francisco Javier Casanova , appeared before the municipal council to explain the disappearance of four regulation pistols from inside the station, pointing directly at the officers themselves.
– The weapons were discovered missing during the last routine inspection. Of the 73 pistols assigned to the force, 12 could not be inspected in person. Seven of these belonged to officers on temporary leave, but of the remaining five that were supposed to be kept in storage, only one could be located.

Andújar will become the “capital of purebred Spanish horses” from September 9 to 12 with Anducab: {Trans, summary}
– Andújar hosts the XXII Anducab Morphological-Functional Horse Show from 9 to 12 September, at the Paseo de Colón Gardens. Twelve migrants arrested in Ceuta after ambushing four soldiers: {Trans}
– A group of 30 to 40 migrants attacked an unarmored vehicle with large stones in Benzú, injuring four officers during a night of riots in the autonomous city.
– The incident, which occurred around 5:30 a.m. this Thursday, left the soldiers injured and their vehicle significantly damaged. This event took place amidst a night of unrest and tension in the autonomous city , where security forces also had to intervene on El Trampolín and Benítez beaches to contain a group of Ceuta residents who intended to attack migrants.
– According to police sources consulted by EFE, the attack occurred when a group of 30 to 40 people surrounded the unarmored military vehicle and began throwing large stones. The soldiers, belonging to the General Command of Ceuta, were heading to a checkpoint after passing the traffic lights in Benzú. The report, first published by El Faro de Ceuta , details how the attackers emerged from different locations to intercept the vehicle, forcing the soldiers to abandon it and flee on foot towards Calamocarro.
– Despite their attempt to flee, the four soldiers were pursued and caught by the assailants, who continued to throw stones at them and even struck them. After a call to 112, officers from the National Police and the Civil Guard were quickly mobilized. This rapid response led to the arrest of 12 Moroccan nationals involved in the attack. Some of the alleged attackers tried to escape by jumping into the sea, requiring the intervention of the Civil Guard’s Maritime Service for their search and subsequent arrest.

Russia redeploys a large warship to the Mediterranean through the Strait of Gibraltar: {Trans, summary}
– A large Russian Navy warship is returning to the Mediterranean this Thursday after an absence of approximately two months, passing through the Strait of Gibraltar. The anti-submarine destroyer Admiral Levchenko is leading a group of three other ships and is expected to transit the strait during the day. The group also includes the cargo ship Sparta , the tanker General Skobelev, and the replenishment ship Akademik Pashin. The four ships were located on August 24 off the Spanish coast, sailing south after departing from Baltiysk in the Baltic Sea in the middle of the month. The group’s listed destination is Port Said, Egypt , although this information doesn’t allow for a definitive determination of its final destination. In similar circumstances last April the ships bypassed Egypt and ultimately sailed to Tartus, Syria.
– The main significance of this move lies in the return of a large Russian warship to the Mediterranean, after the frigates Admiral Kasatonov and Akademik Pashin left the area on June 30. The departure of those ships left Russia, for the first time in approximately a decade, without a permanent naval presence in the Mediterranean.
– For now, there is no official confirmation regarding the group’s final destination . What is expected is that the Admiral Levchenko and its three accompanying ships will reach the Strait of Gibraltar this Thursday and, if they complete the transit, will re-establish the Russian Navy’s presence in the Mediterranean.

Russia warns of attacks on UK targets in response to Kyiv’s use of British missiles: {Trans, summary}

Russia threatens to attack British factories:
– Russia has threatened to attack British factories after the UK gave Ukraine the blueprints to build its own Storm Shadow missiles.
– Andrei Fedorov, a powerful adviser to Vladimir Putin, said Moscow would not “100 per cent exclude” the possibility of “semi-military action” against the manufacturers supplying drone and missile components to Kyiv. Western intelligence sources told The Telegraph that Russia had already launched a fresh wave of covert attacks against European armament factories.
– Although Mr Fedorov did not explicitly say how Moscow would attack, he suggested that a producer of drones or Storm Shadow missile components could be targeted in a cyber-attack by “unknown sources”.
– He then made the threat against British factories, explaining that “semi-military” action meant that “something might happen with enterprises, with the factories which are producing drones for Ukraine”. “They could be attacked, not by Russia, but by … from unknown sources,” Mr Fedorov said.
– During the Newsnight interview, he said the Prime Minister’s Storm Shadow decision was considered by Moscow to be “direct military involvement” in the war, which he claimed had moved “beyond Ukrainian borders”.
– The vulnerability of British industry to cyber-attacks by malign actors has recently come into focus, with The Telegraph revealing on Saturday that hackers linked to the Iranian regime had shut down a power plant for four days. – On the occasion of the 70 years of the Bull watching over our roads, the Osborne firm proposes, in the Mora wineries in El Puerto, with the Toro Tapas team of Enrique Amado, a menu of national selection by Spanish chefs. The fourth edition of Saborea Osborne, which can be enjoyed on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, offers 7 decades, 7 bites. Seven courses with some of the great names of our current gastronomy, from the local Ángel León to the most promising chef at this time, the man from Ávila, Carlos Casillas, or the veteran from San Sebastián, Pedro Subijana.
– It is a collective recipe book full of identity, emotion and a profound respect for the product in a unique homage, paired with wines from Cádiz by Osborne and Rioja wines from Montecillo, with live ambient music in the paradisiacal garden of the wineries.
– The journey through this anthology of flavours begins with Ángel León, “the chef of the sea” (el chef del mar) and his pickled fig with plankton, where the aromas of the land of El Puerto and its sea intertwine. Plankton is one of his signature discoveries – he uses it dried or as a paste to add an intense, briny, umami-rich flavour that tastes like the essence of the ocean.
– The principal ambassador of Spanish cuisine in London, the Extremaduran José Pizarro, offers artichokes with ham and egg yolk, a nod to the welcoming spirit of the traditional bars and to the devotion to Cinco Jotas Iberian ham.
– The young Carlos Casillas (Barro, in Ávila) surprises with his spider crab omelette, a suggestive reinterpretation of northern cooking with his personal vision.
– The historic master Pedro Subijana proposes one of his classics, whole red mullet, with sauces and various preparations.
– The Valencian Begoña Rodrigo synthesises the identity of our universal cuisine with this version of Valencian paella, turning the courtyard of Toro Tapas into an extension of La Albufera.
– The savoury finale is completed by the three-Michelin-starred Asturian chef Nacho Manzano (Casa Marcial), with a suggestive creation of pork shoulder, codium butter and pickles. Codium is a type of green seaweed (often called “spongeweed” or “green sea fingers”) that grows on rocky coastlines, including the cliffs of northern Spain that Nacho Manzano’s dish evokes. – Apple announced on Wednesday that its next launch event is taking place on September 9, with a “Surprise and Shine” tagline.
