From “the torture never stops” file: Announced today on TRE Radio. New laws have been enacted requiring websites in Spain, that wish to advertize vacation rentals, to register and submit copy to some agency. Begins this September.
I will not be doing this. So beginning July 1st no more holiday rentals will be permitted, only long term (11 month minimum) property rental listings will be accepted. Sorry.

Info Wanted, Hearing aids: I have been having hearing tests and scans etc for the past year at the hospital in Velez, and they seem to think I have had some sort of mini stroke that has affected my right ear only. They have now told me there is nothing medically they can do and I must go and try different hearing aids and buy one I am happy with. Billy is looking for his forever home: Billy is a small (7kg) neutered male dog. He was rescued from a very dangerous situation and has been in foster in La Axarquia while his injuries healed. He is thought to be about 5yrs old. Good with other dogs, not tested with cats yet. He is vaccinated and has a passport and is now ready for his forever home in Spain or abroad. I have used it for storage as well as a means to work on projects galore – especially my car. There is included an elasticated apron that covers the roof. This helps protect the shed during winter months while helping to ensure the internal confines are kept cool during hot summers. It is easily removed, if desired. The shelves are marine-ply, supported by painted right-angle steel frames. This sectional shed is designed to be dismantled easily, with as little effort or tools as required. It is only being sold, as I, the owner and designer/builder is moving to a new property with an underbuilt garage. Otherwise, it would not be on offer. Windows: We have a terrace on the first floor with very large windows and fly screens and getting the windows cleaned and the flyscreens re-meshed has been a real problem. So having had success I would like to recommend:

Organic Stalls, reply: I am responding to Digame rather than the private email so everyone has the information about the organic markets in La Axarquia.
Viveros El Algarrobo, where the very popular organic market was held on Saturdays was sold to new owners last summer. As a result, the market split into two with some stalls going to the new Conviven site by pantano La Vinuela, and others joining the new Benajarafe market in the Florymar garden centre run by the ECA association. (and some stalls take it turns to go to both and can also be found at the Tuesday Trapiche market).
The stalls who went to Conviven are now back at the Viveros El Algarrobo, and Conviven no longer run an organic market. The organic market at Florymar, Benajarafe continues to hold their market every Saturday.

Wanted: Person for Book Stall at Trapiche Market. Is there anybody out there who would be willing to man the CAS book stall at Trapiche market, held on a Tuesday from 9.30 until 1.30. It was delivered on Friday, and I need the space to put in a smaller one. It would come with the storage drawers and the mattress support frame as shown, and the matching bedside table / drawer unit. It is advertised as 140cm x 200cm. But with the robust frame it is in fact 156 cm x 209cm and then add the 2 cm for the skirting behind the bed . . .I am in Nerja, and we obviously have to arrange a man and van, I am prepared to let someone have this at no cost – merely for help with the transport costs. Reply to the Post Regarding Argan Oil and Organic Market Stalls: In response to Jakki’s post of June 3rd requesting information about the organic market stalls selling Argan oil and homemade breads, I am the lady who has the oil. I work with a cooperative of women in Morocco whom I’ve known for more than 40 years and visit there regularly bringing back all things Moroccan and specialising in Argan and spa/hamman products. The lady who made and sold the bread is a friend but she is currently busy doing other things, has moved home, and no longer makes it. I hope this helps.
