Genesis Reunion Tour 2020: The tour will start in Dublin on November 16 and will continue in Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham, Belfast, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and London. The group last performed in 2007 in the town of Godalming (Surrey, just outside London). While the return to the stage of the band is good news for their fans, it will not include the founder of Genesis, Peter Gabriel, who left the band in 1975. Torrox council introduces fines for irresponsible dog owners: Torrox town hall announced last week that owners who do not clean up after their dogs could be subject to a fine of between 120 and 700 euros. Mayor of Torrox Óscar Medina said that the law is already in place but that there will be a “few weeks’ grace” during which fines will not be issued.
Local Police have been charged with informing pet owners of the changes and issuing warnings.
Bottles, which should be filled with water and vinegar, are freely available from tourist information and town hall offices in Torrox town and costa and El Morche.

Football and Basketball Matches To Be Closed To Fans: The Champions League match between Valencia and Atalanta will be played behind closed doors next week to try and contain the rapid spread of the deadly coronavirus, Spain’s health minister said Tuesday. The Spanish government has made the decision to close the match to supporters due to the “large presence of fans” from area of northern Italy most affected by the coronavirus outbreak, said Illa. Salvador Illa also said that the second leg of Getafe’s Europa League last 32 tie with Inter Milan on March 19 would also be played without fans in the stands.
Basketball matches between Spanish teams and clubs in northern Italy have also been affected, with Valencia v Olimpia Milan on March 5 in the men’s EuroLeague and Girona v Venezia in the Women’s Eurocoupe on March 19th closed off to supporters.

“New Hacking Threats On The Horizon”, with comments by DoctorLaptop: For computer/tablet/smartphone users, dealing with malware became a routine task. Then file-less bugs appeared to complicate things, invisible to consumer anti-virus detection. Now we are hearing about 2 new hacking vectors.
-This exploits the device’s microphone to use unhearable vibrations, transmitted thru the table you are sitting at, to trigger the device’s Voice Assistant function to open the device to nearby hackers. If you are sharing a table with others while using your computer/device, and you see a small block with a suction cup holding it to the table, someone at that table is a hacker. This is called a “SurfingAttack”.
Once set up, an interloper can not only access all your data, they can also silently activate the cam, audio recorder and voice assistants (e.g., using “OK Google” or “Hey Siri” ), intercept 2-factor security codes and also generate attack commands using text-to-speech (TTS) systems — all of which are transmitted in the form of ultrasonic guided wave signals that can propagate along the table to control the devices.
-This other new exploit is called Light Commands– it employs lasers to inject inaudible commands into tablets, smartphones and smartspeakers and other smart-devices, to gain access or surreptitiously cause them to unlock doors, shop on e-commerce websites, and even start vehicles.
This attack requires a laser beam to be in direct line of sight to the target device in question, so if you see someone pointing a laser-pointer at your digital device, including your digital equipped vehicle, digital doorlocks and garage door openers, that could be hackers at work.
If anything, the latest research presents new attack vectors that will require device makers to erect new security defenses and safeguard devices from these attacks that are increasingly becoming an entry point for all “smart” devices.

Bad Windows Update, Follow-up: I have now seen 15 computers with this problem. They fall into 2 catagories. Some have software issues like a lost web browser and/or bookmarks, and scrambled Settings, but the core system remained intact. Others have System issues, these will not start, or show a black screen, these may also have deleted data folders (this data may or may not be recoverable!). The later group may also have had all System Restore Points deleted, making recovery more difficult. -DoctorLaptop

Bandits in Archez: The Bandits will be playing live at the newly re-opened Restaurante La Peña in Archez this coming Friday 6 March from 8.30pm, indoors of course at this time of year. La Peña is down by the river near the new Ayuntamiento. Keyboards, guitars, mandolin, saxophone and vocals by Rod Jones and Mitch France. The first set of acoustic oriented songs have been sent away for analysis and have been scientifically proven to aid digestion. It gets a bit livelier after that!

New Rotary Club in Nerja: The local Rotary district is seeking to expand into the Eastern Costa del Sol and as part of its initiative is looking to form an international club to be based in Nerja. This new club will be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Marbella-Guadalmina.
This new club will be looking to recruit in an area running from Almunecar to Rincorn de la Victoria. It wants to attract current and former Rotarians living in this area as well as people who would like to serve their community through Rotary the world’s largest service organisation.

Warning – Thieves on Torrox Costa: On Saturday night I was out having a meal in a restaurant on Torrox Costa. I had placed my bag over the back of the Chair. I had my husband beside me and two friends opposite me. A group of 1 man and 2 women came in and sat behind us. They told the waitress they were waiting for a friend. After about 10 mins they got up to leave at the same time the waitress asked if my bag was ok. As I took my bag off the back of the chair they ran out into a waiting car and sped off with out lights. Of course they had removed the purse from my bag. I did not feel a thing. The Guardia Civil said they are operating along this part of the coast. Without the full number plate there is not much the police can do.

The Alhambra sells 13,000 tickets in eight hours with a new system, gets overloaded: The Alhambra in Granada has launched its new ticketing system on Sunday and has sold 12,590 tickets in the first eight hours, an average of 1,200 per hour, as reported by the Board, which has recognized “incidents” on their website due to high demand. Cinquecento Teatro presents the musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ in Rincón de la Victoria: The Cinquecento Teatro theatre company will present its adaptation of the musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ in Rincón de la Victoria for the benefit of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) on March 7.

There are no services during the hot summer months of June, July and August.

BREAKING NEWS: Fuengirola And Marbella Struck By Coronavirus As 3 New Cases Are Confirmed. The Coronavirus has hit both Fuengirola (1) and Marbella (2) with positive tests confirmed by the ministry of health. All 3 people confirmed have been taken into isolation and are being transfered to a hospital in Seville. This now confirms 5 cases in Andalusia in total.
The cases thankfully are not believed to have come from a super spreader but those who have been travelling and picked up the deadly virus.

February 29 is a “leap day” : Why Are Leap Years Necessary?
Adding an extra day every four years keeps our calendar aligned correctly with the astronomical seasons, since a year according to the Gregorian calendar (365 days) and a year according to Earth’s orbit around the Sun (approximately 365.25 days) are not the exact same length of time. Stock Market Posts Huge Losses Thursday- The Dow’s biggest one-day point decline in history: Stocks fell sharply in volatile trading Thursday as investors worried the coronavirus may be spreading in the U.S. A slew of corporate and analyst warnings on the virus dragged down the major averages, tipping them into correction territory.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average plummeted 1,190.95 points, or 4.4%, to close at 25,766.64. The S&P 500 slid 4.4% to 2,978.76 while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 4.6% to 8,566.48. The Dow had its worst day since February 2018 while the Nasdaq and S&P 500 posted its biggest one-day loss since August 2011.

EMERGENCY ALERT- COMPUTER UPDATE DISASTER
Windows 10 Users Must Read This!!! Please also read the Forbes article linked below!!!
Windows 10: Problems after this week’s updates include lost wifi connectability, inability to login, black screens, broken VPNs, missing desktop icons, lost data folders, etc. I had my complete Firefox installation disappear; no trace left, even the program files were deleted! I had to do a clean reinstall and reinsert all my bookmarks and passwords from my backup. ( If this happens to you, shut the computer immediately and bring it to me, I can probably recover your old Firefox with all the bookmarks and settings as they were. ) Some users have lost all their data folders, photos, docs, everything!
Update KB4532693 is the culprit, uninstall it immediately, and then block it, instructions are in the links provided below!!!
In many cases damage is not recoverable or requires an expert to do the complex recovery. Note that Google is censoring most articles discussing this Windows problem, use duckduckgo.com to search for info. How to Delay Windows Updates For A Month: From Settings, Open Windows Updates, Click Advanced Options, Scroll down to Pause Updates, Click the dropdown menu arrow, Choose the date that gives the longest pause. Then click the Back arrow at the top left of the window to go back one step, check that it now says you have paused Updates. You should be able to pause them for a month. Hopefully a month is long enough for Microsoft to sort this out. I will alert you here if you need to extend the Paused Updates setting.
Please be careful doing these fixes, if you make a mistake you could remove something you really need, and break your system. Don’t worry, if this happens I can usually fix it, but it’s not easy. Spain detects 10 new cases of coronavirus in 36 hours: A new positive is reported in Seville, adding to the patients in Madrid, Catalonia, the Valencia region and Tenerife. A man has been hospitalized in Seville after testing positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus, bringing to 10 the number of cases reported in Spain in the last 36 hours.
For the first time on Tuesday, the Spanish Health Ministry recommended that Spaniards restrict their journeys abroad. Minister Salvador Illa stated that unless it is strictly necessary, Spaniards do not go to four Italian regions – Lombardia, Piamonte, Emilia-Romana and Veneto – Japan, Iran, South Korea, Singapore and China. “There is no prohibition,” he said, “but unless it is essential, do not go to a risk zone. It’s common sense.”
The Health Ministry has raised the risk of local transmission from low to moderate. The measure has been taken “out of prudence” and to ensure that “the health systems are alert,” said Fernando Simón, director of the Coordination Center for Health Alerts and Emergencies. “In most of the country the risk is low. In the areas where there are cases, clearly the risk is moderate, and it could even be high,” said the health official at a news conference on Wednesday. (There is no reason to panic, but should you be located in an area designated as quarantined things could change quickly. If a case is confirmed locally you could be instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days to a month, as has happened in several cities in north Italy. Be prepared and informed. Germany warning over a virus epidemic: New cases brought Germany’s total to 21. The government said late Wednesday in a statement it would establish an emergency task force regarding the coronavirus outbreak.
“We are at the beginning of a coronavirus epidemic in Germany,” Health Minister Jens Spahn told reporters.

Stephan Pusch, who heads the district administration in Heinsberg, where the case occurred, said Wednesday that schools and kindergartens in the area would remain shut until Monday. Antisemitism row breaks out after Spanish town stages Holocaust parade for carnival: It wouldn’t be carnival in Spain without a bit of controversy over chosen themes. But one town in Spain has really taken it too far.
Young children paraded through the streets with yellow stars sewn to their left lapels, dancers in striped pyjamas waving Israeli flags and behind them officers in SS Waffen uniforms toting machine guns.
Welcome to the carnival procession in Las Mesas, a town in Cuenca province of Castilla-La Mancha, when a cultural association chose the Holocaust as their theme for celebration.
The display continued with a swastika wearing dominatrix brandishing her whip and flanked by dobermans atop a float designed to recreate Auschwitz, complete with twin chimneys.
The whole procession was choreographed to a Rosalia song. Another float represented the gates of the death camp with the infamous slogan “Arbeit macht frei“ – work sets you free” and yet another was a representation of a German tank.
