Services-Question- Endesa Eroneous Bills Just back from our usual six month absence and we have found a pile of Endesa bills with charges for the months we were away, even though the house is locked and the electricity turned off. We checked the figure on the new meter and it’s half what they say our reading is on their paperwork. I thought this new meter was going to magically send electricity usage to the bills department so that estimated bills would no longer happen, but it seems not. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, what do we need to do? We called into Endesa today and she suggested we have a faulty meter and would send a man out. In my view the meter is correct. Women of Andalucia A group of very nice women with lots of different ideas and opinions got together for the first time last week for our first meeting. Hopefully our group will turn out to be a lively place for friendship, discussion and fun. Everything went well and we are looking forward to getting to know one another better and to discuss our chosen topics. The next meeting will be held at the same place Jose Jimenez Restaurant on the main coast road N340 in between Torrox Costa and Nerja Thursday 9th of November at 3pm.

Progress of Roadwork in Nature Park Now the work around Cerro Gavilan appears to be finished, so they have moved on to the road going down to P. Collado (pink in revised map I included earlier this week)). I guess that this will be finished soon. For walkers, a good alternative (approx. same length) is to take the road towards Casa la Mina and climb up the path from the pylons just before C.d Mina. Some work is also going on along the road to Puerto Blanquillo (I´ve seen a sign). Anybody knows about this? Birgit

Can anyone please identity these centipede/millipede wormy looking creatures?

Ranging from 2 or 3 cm long up to 25 or 30 cm, they have a brown leathery banded appearance. We only see them after rain or chilly conditions. Also how do I get rid of the blighters? They walk through ant powder and soil insecticide powder… Cheers.
