Tail Torrox is desperate to find the right home for Tony. 

He is a German Shepherd cross, castrated and  who has been in the refuge for over 2 years. He is between 3 and 4 years old. Highly intelligent and knows basic commands but has had some aggression issues ( due to being in the refuge). He is best suited to someone who is interested in doing some training with him. He is very active and walks well without a lead and good on recall. We would not recommend him to go to a family with young children and he would be best in a home as the sole dog or a female. A family with experience of dogs is also best. Trip to Gibraltar – Friday 6^th October  The Phoenix Club are off on their next shopping trip to Gibraltar on Friday the 6^th October. We have pick ups at at the A1 Garden Centre, Torre del Mar bus station and finally at Algarrobo Lidl at 08.30.  The bus is parked in Morrisons car park and we leave Gibraltar at 16.30.  Due to visa restrictions on entering Gibraltar, please advise if you are a non EU citizen when you book.  Also it is important to remember to bring with you your EHIC card, just in case, and passports are essential.  On the way to Gibraltar we stop to spend a penny and for coffee. We would greatly appreciate if payment was made before the journey.  The price?  €12pp includes a €1 gratuity for the driver.  Children under 12 can join us for 1/2 price.   Still the best value on the coast!
Early booking is recommended if you like a particular place, as seat numbers are allocated on a first come, first served basis.  Plenty to see in Gibraltar apart from the shopping!  Also taking bookings for our Christmas shopping trip to Gib on the 1^st December   Trip to the Alpujarras – Friday 20^th OctoberWe are off on a jolly to the Alpujarras visiting Trevelez and Pampaneira on Friday 20^th October. We will have a stop for breakfast along the way and then our next port of call will be the Jamon and Queso factory in Trevelez.  Lunch in Trevelez and then re-wind to Pampaneira where you can visit the smallest chocolate factory in the world, pop in and visit the 30 year old famous fabric weaving workshop of Mercedes Carrascosa , see her looms and the beautiful fabrics, clothing and tapestries she produces. Hello, I`m a 45 year old woman with friends from different nationalities. I work just in the morning, but my friends work all day For this reason I have a lot of free time, so I would like to find people in my similar situation. ‘ comprising 4 x teacups, 4 x saucers + 4 x side plates marked ‘Bone China Made In England’. Very collectable Pheasant pattern. Cups are 2.75 inches tall with a rim of 3.25 inches wide and have a slightly scalloped rim with gold trim, Pheasant pattern on the front and a small leaf design on the rear. Saucers are 5.5 inches wide and side plates 6.5 inches wide – both have a Pheasant design and slightly scalloped rims with gold trim. Very good condition with no cracks, chips or crazing; there is some wearing of the gold trim (cups only) inevitable with age and washing. Just one single cup with identical pattern + slightly different saucer and no side plate currently for sale online at 22.53 US Dollars. When artists from all over the world come together to share a single workspace for a week, elusive inspiration naturally starts to percolate. 12 professional talented artists travel from 9 different countries to the picturesque mountain village of Cómpeta, province Málaga in Spain for the 3rd International Art Symposium LUZ. They come from Colombia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, India, Russia, Italy, Armenia, Denmark and Spain. It is organised by Dutch artist, art event organiser and gallery owner Lieuwke Loth. Preferably a house, villa, finca, cortijo, etc, with no close neighbours. If there are any large apartments or houses, in Torrox Park, I would consider those, also, as I like the area for convenience. The Group starts again this coming Wednesday the 20th September – 15th November. We operate from La Casa Restaurant in the main Square in Torrox Pueblo starting every Wednesday at 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. We cover all subjects from life drawing, portraiture, still life, animals, abstract and landscape. Oil, Acrylic, watercolour, pencil and charcoal are mediums used.

Just can’t believe how many people put things on Digamextra without at least the area they are in .  So many times I read an ad and get excited at the thought of owning a particular item or even applying for a job such as maintenance or gardening just to find NO area mentioned . Cómpeta, 65 km east of Málaga, is a walkers’ paradise! Come and enjoy it with us during our fifth Walking Festival. Also this year we chose several new fantastic walks. The principle will stay the same. Each day you will have the choice between an easy walk of  ± 3 – 4 hours or a moderate walk of ± 4,5 – 6 hours. Each day you can change your choice. We will walk with guides in groups of no more than 25 persons. You may also walk self-guided if you have a gps.

At ASAP we do exactly what our name says – we save local dogs from suffering as soon as possible. We started very small with just a couple of concerned people. We are still small but we now have more active volunteers . Whenever possible, we want to provide a permanent home for all our rescued animals. And we have done so very successfully over the past few years. As well as teaching greater tolerance and understanding of dogs we also encourage people to foster them. Re-homing is an important part of the project, the more dogs we can rehome, the fewer strays there will be on the streets. The dogs themselves are the project’s best ambassadors. They reward their new owners with loyalty and affection, bringing comfort and joy into their lives.  Sterre is one such dog. Sterre’s mother was a Mastin and her father, probably, a Podenco. She was found on the streets at 5-weeks of age with her mother, brother and two sisters and was taken in to foster care immediately. Sterres mother and two sisters were rehomed quite quickly but shortly after Sterre and her brother fell seriously ill with the Pavo virus. Sterres brother died, but Sterre miraculously survived. She is our longest ever foster care dog, of almost 18-months . She is very attached emotionally to Els, her Foster Carer, and is resistant to anyone new.   She is now about to enter a socialisation programme in order to better her chances of adoption and a new life.So, this is a renewed appeal for donations and the promise of a fresh start for this lovely girl, who deserves so much more. Wire haired German Pointer Looking for a home

TAIL Torrox is looking for a home for this beautiful boy Amadeus. He is 6 yrs old wired haired German pointer (Bosque de Bohemia ), weighs about 28kg and is 62cm high. He is a very gentle boy who has very low level Leishmaniosis so needs a daily tablet. He walks very well on the lead and currently is a house dog at the refuge in Torrox Costa. The CAA prefers you to contact the airline first, if you do not receive your compensation entitlement, then you can contact CAA. who will require your name and contact details, date of travel, flight number, and they will have all of the information regarding the flight delay.
The CAA will contact the Airline on your behalf, (at no cost to you) they do not require your bank details.
The Airline will contact you in due course for your bank details etc. and the amount will be paid into your bank account.
Under European Regulations 261 you  can make a claim for flight delays during the past seven years.

Antequera a magnificent town that has the most churches in Spain …27… Overlooked by the famous Indian head mountain, where legend has it that a Moorish princess fell in love with a Christian soldier and they were forbidden to marry, so ran away together to the mountain, they were chased by her father’s army and so rather than be separated, they jumped to their death. Locals say some nights you can hear their cries. Then there is El Torcal, the highest point in the area, strange rock formations which were formed millions of years ago when it was under water, cover the land, a sight to behold.    In the other direction you will find Caminito Del Rey in El Chorro, a major tourist attraction, dare you do the walk!!!! Also close by are the fantastic turquoise lakes of Ardales, where you can just sit and watch the world go by, or swim in the cool clear waters. Hire pedallos or eat in the many restaurants of the area.   2 nights, is it enough ? Maybe book an extra night of the special price of 50€ per room. We have pick ups at at the A1 Garden Centre, Torre del Mar bus station and finally at Algarrobo Lidl at 08.30.  The bus is parked in Morrisons car park and we leave Gibraltar at 16.30.  Due to visa restrictions on entering Gibraltar, please advise if you are a non EU citizen when you book.  Also it is important to remember to bring with you your EHIC card, just in case, and passports are essential.  On the way to Gibraltar we stop to spend a penny and for coffee.  We would greatly appreciate if payment was made before the journey.   The price?  €12pp includes a €1 gratuity for the driver.  Children under 12 can join us for 1/2 price.   Still the best value on the coast!
