Advice Needed – Boundaries and Trees

Need advice from someone who knows boundary laws in Spain. My neighbour says that because my fir trees have spread out so they now grow partially across our dividing fence I must remove them altogether – cut them down, and at my cost. Now, in the UK I know that the law says you are free to cut down any overhanging branches from your neighbour (albeit at your OWN cost) but you may not otherwise damage the tree. Does the same apply in Spain? i.e. it is up to him to trim off the bits he doesn’t want over his land? Hope so: I need the shade…

Information Needed – Health Care

We have recently arrived to live in Spain and we are trying to get registered for healthcare.
We have a Pardon, a NIE number and an S1 form from the UK pension office.
We are not sure what to do next, it says on the form to take it to the INSS is that the social security office. Our other problem is we don’t speak Spanish so we are finding it very difficult to get any information or to complete any forms.
Can anyone help us please.

News from DoctorLaptop -On Fiber Optic Internet

Just to let folks know, I had Axartel fiber optic internet installed today. I got 60Mb/s speed for €24.95/mo + €60 to install including wifi router. Install took an hour. No landline required. The speed tests at 48 to 65Mb/s depending on the website I test at, so I am very pleased. Installers even spoke English. This was the best deal for my purposes. Other providers are available but require a package purchase including a landline I have no use for. If you do want a landline and IPTV with your internet I suggest you check the websites for Movistar, Axartel, Orange, etc. for the deal that best suits you.

I can now offer classes that require the good internet speeds I was lacking previously.

I have recently bought a dress that is too long for me but I don’t want to just cut the bottom off as I would normally do because there is a deep pattern. I think it needs ‘dismantling’ at the waste, a job I don’t fancy doing.

Recommendation  British Beer Availability

You can buy cans in Supersol in Torrox although we tend to buy ours in the big Carrefour in the Rincon Commercial centre.

They have a small area of international food and they are by far the best price too (we are Greene King fans!) so always stock up when we go there.

We have used this company in the past but have needed to share an order with friends to get the free delivery. They have by far the biggest range.

What’s on –Aire Flamenco – 

The band Aire Flamenco, has different performances this weekend. If you have never listen to our music, you have many  choices.

On Friday, 1st July, we’ll be performing for the opening of the new restaurant in Cómpeta, (old La Vendimia). The music will start at 8pm.

On Saturday, 2nd July, from 2pm, we’ll be at El Acebuchal. The Town Hall of Cómpeta organizes this party. There will be procesion and free food.

Same day in the evening, from 9pm, we’ll be at Mis Tapitas in Puente Don Manuel.

On Sunday, 3rd July, from 9pm we’ll be again at Mis Tapitas.
