Questions . Canoe and cleaning business
We have a Decathalon 3 man canoe and around the keel area the plastic
has begun to split and its taking in water.

Warning re Construction or Refurbishment Work
Digamites, please remember, if you are having any refurbishment works to your property, you or your constructor need to apply for and display a licence for the works carried out.
It is advisable to also make sure the constructor is legal, ie an SL or autonomo.
If you are caught reforming your property without a licence you will be fined, if you are caught using “black” labour you will be fined as will they.
Is it worth the risk having your new kitchen or bathroom unfinished ?

Opinion re Government & Bank
Trying to pay €20 into my Unicaja branch in Torrox Pueblo yesterday, I was told it could not be done as my account had been blocked.
It was explained that this was nothing to do with the bank – the Government, ‘big brother’, required information about my source of income which in my case, being a pensioner, is a stingy few hundred euros a month.
I had to prove that I was a pensioner before my account could be opened again. What is going on here ?
Unicaja said this was a new requirement and everyone would be affected.
They were still learning how to administer this and it took two hours to sort out. Has anyone else experienced this yet ?
If the sun doesn’t kill us the bureaucracy will.

Services Needed-Insurance Advice
I own an apartment in Torrox Costa and have paid building (as well as contents) insurance for ten years.
The community (ie us) also pays for buildings insurance .
I have had difficulty ascertaining from the administrator exactly what that covers . I have always thought that the cover I have was – for example – to pay for damage caused by water overflowing from my apartment to others which would need professional drying out and redecoration
While the community insurance covered calamities such as fire destroying or severely damaging a building.
I appreciate that the obvious answer is to get a copy of the community insurance, but it occurs to me that I am probably not the first to encounter this issue and to ask Digamites if anyone has got a definitive answer.

Services Recommendation
I see that I’m not the only one to discover Chris at CP Auto Air Conditioning but feel that he is well deserving of praise and someone may see this who otherwise might miss him.
Sure enough with the hot weather here, the car air-conditioning has to be at its best and Chris is the skilled guy to go to if yours is needing servicing.
He knows his stuff, has equipment you will only see in Star Wars and being a male myself, I can only quote the ‘Brass Monkey’ analogy.
Perhaps there is a lady out there who has experienced the female equivalent and add weight to the recommendation.

What’s on –Exhibiton
The exhibition of Fernando de la Rosa opens the cycle “Art Summer” in space Ventana Abierta Association in C/ Granada, 42. (Nerja).
In this series, Fernando de la Rosa invites us to be witnesses to a process of reflection, that of a painter confronted with the limitations of his means and making inroads into other dimensions, in an intimate conversation with what it means to be a member of homo sapiens.
Thus we find transgressions of planes and frames, unexpected excursions, forms that coalesce and intersect with found objects, setting the stage for assemblages where the vestiges of painterly line, color and canvas are ever present. The reference to Marcel Duchamp’s “Ready-Made” invokes the fortuitous, that which we cannot control, widening our imagination to embrace things we daily ignore. The assemblage becomes the deliberate act of someone who is attentive, perceptive, and who interprets, arranges and dismantles, combines and reassembles what is brought to him by chance, by the river of life.
