Suggestion
A friend told me of a great way to minimise the size of the plastic bottles you throw away.
Roll the empty bottle And put the top on And it will stay rolled up.
It makes a third of the size. Helpful for the environment and easier to throw away.

Rental Needed
We are a couple (non smokers, no pets) looking for a small place to rent in the Nerja/Torrox area, campo is fine but don’t want to be isolated.. it must have decent access & safe parking for our 8m motorhome.
Rental price €250-€350 per month…minimum 6 months from Oct/Nov.
We are quiet, decent folk, both in our 60’s & been overwintering in Nerja the last few years but are bringing the motor home this year to pootle about.
We don’t need frills but a clean, cosy place preferably with a fire/stove (been a bit nippy in Nerja the last few winters!!) a bath & the possibility for WiFi would be great. Fingers crossed…

What’s:on- Charity Concert in Sayalonga TONIGHT!!!!!!
In memory of Sayalonga local Frank Lees who very sadly passed away recently from cancer, all are invited to this charity event in aid of Cudeca, the principal Cancer charity in the region.
This is a very worthy cause and your support is needed. We are lucky enough to have had this event included as part of the Semana Cultural in Sayalonga. Located in Sayalonga village square, the bar/restaurant Jocavi are putting on a charity meal from 19.30hrs in the square at €15 per head (drinks not included). Reservations to be made directly with the restaurant (their number is on the poster).
There will be a prize raffle for prizes such as meals for two at The Cottage Restaurant in Nerja, The Town Fryer in Puente, Casi Mari in Sayalonga, a free oil and filter change courtesy of Talleres Simon in Velez, a two hour cruise for two people on the Zostera catamaran from Caleta port courtesy of catamarantours.es, a K9 grooming session courtesy of Bolo’s Peluqueria in Torrox Costa and more! PLUS!
The rock/pop band GU!R! will be playing on the stage area within the village square from 9pm to midnight (prize draw to take place during their interval).
Raffle tickets will be available throughout the evening.

What’s on- Torrox Pueblo Art Group
Now in our 4th year, classes will run again between 31st August – 16th November. Our venue is La Casa Restaurant on the main square in Torrox Pueblo. We meet every Wednesday morning from 10.30am to 1.30 pm. Everyone will be made very welcome and this is an ideal class to meet like-minded people who enjoy art. Whether learning new techniques or developing your style, this class caters for complete beginners and more established artists.
We produce various artworks from village scenes, landscapes, still life, portraiture and abstract art.
We work in all media: oil, acrylic, water colour, pastel, pencil and charcoal. But please bring your own materials.

Music Fest 2016 – next weekend (Sunday August 28th)! Come along and support the Axarquia Animal Rescue Music Fest 2016!
