                                                                                                                                   This very friendly little boy has been found in the garden of a house outside Daimalos, near Arenas, where he has been living since Saturday. The people are away (he does not belong to them) and local enquiries have drawn a blank.

What’s on- First Aid for Dogs and Dog Owners Course €40                              Why dog first Aid? Well unlike our other pets, we tend to take our dogs with us where ever we go and sometimes we take them to quite remote places like fields etc where we may be quite a distance from where we left the car. If anything happens to our dog then its going to be us that will have to do something and then manage getting them back to the car to take them to the vets.
Unfortunately we cant call 112 for our injured or ill dog and expect a pet ambulance to arrive with a couple of vets inside to treat our sick family member. Our course is designed to bridge the gap between your dog collapsing and getting to the vet.
The course isn’t designed to remove the need to go to the vets but instead to recognise when things are serious and need the vet, and equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to make that difference which might ultimately save your beloved dogs life. Just like in human lifeaccidents can happen anywhere – when you are out walking your dog, on the roadside or even at home. Coming on our course will give you the skills and knowledge to provide immediate action before calling the vet. More importantly we will give you the confidence to be able to use those skills.
This course is ideal for dog owners and those that work with dogs such as dog walkers, dog sitters, dog groomers.
On our 4 hour short course we will cover:-
Knowing your dog Weekly health checks Managing an incident
Checking vital signs CPR Drowning Choking Bleeding injuries Shock Restraints and carries  Dog first aid kits and what should be in them
Our course is compliant with the UK Veterinary Act 1966 & Vet Recover Guidelines 2012
You will get a certificate for this course.

The Artists and Craftsmen/women will be present and happy to talk about their work, inspiration, vision and techniques.

What’s on Exhibition opens today!
                                                                                                                           Come and see paintings of Women (and a few Men!), Weird and wonderful Things such as decorated jewellery, a huge painted room divider, papier maché bowls, painted drift wood and more. All by Dutch artist Coby Bloemsma in the Sala Municipal in Calle Cristo 14, near the post office in the centre of Nerja.
This interesting mix of different art forms is on until the 30th of March. Open every day from 11 to 2 in the morning and 5.30 to 9 in the evening.

What’s on Chiki’s Wednesday Cooking Classes
Antonio, Manager of Chiki BioRestaurant, will offer cooking classes starting on Wed. March 28 from 11am to 1pm. This first class will inspire participants to learn their own canning techniques. The teacher will take you step by step thru the best canning practices while inviting you to participate in the process. And you’ll go home with a finished canned jar all of your own. Cost: 10€ per person. Important: If you plan to join us please sign up no later than this Sunday, 3/18 as the teacher needs to prepare the ingredients; a mínimum of six participants will be required. What’s Not on Spring Fest Florymar Postponed To 31-3-18                         The organic market at the Florymar Gardencentre in Benajarafe will be open this Saturday as usual, but the Spring Fest will be postponed until the 31st because of the rain. The 17th and 24th of March will be just market from 10am – 2pm.
