Help Needed Please CAS (Costa Animal Society)   Is there anyone willing to run the CAS book stall at the Trapiche market on a Tuesday morning.  The market runs from 9.30 til 1.30.  You will need a large vehicle to transport the tables and books.  The stall makes vital money to enable us to care for abandoned and ill animals in and around Nerja.  Please call Vera on 608876488.  Many thanks

 

What’s on Certified Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Course (EFAW) in Nerja on the 26th                                                                                    April                                                                                                                                          at the Bar La Raqueta in conjunction with Stockwood Consulting.  It is a one day course and the cost will be €95 and includes a certificate that is valid for 3 years.  All apparatus and consumables are provided. Ideal if you live in a remote location or need a first aid qualification for work. Time: 10am to 5pm.  It covers life saving skills including CPR, choking and bleeding and use of an AED (defibrillator) – practical, hands on skills training. This is a one day first aid course aimed at lower risk environments and enabling first aiders to provide assistance to those who are ill or injured at work. It is also ideal if you want to know what to do in an emergency – especially if you live in an isolated area. This course could help you save a life. What’s on-Making Memory Books – workshop in Torrox Pueblo  Everyone has a story to tell – be it about your life, a part of your life, time spent abroad, a day out in Blackpool, tales of your cat or dog or even why you live here. There is always a story to be told and by making a Memory Book, we can tell that story with photos, jottings, press cuttings – we could even use sticky back plastic and toilet rolls!!      On a more serious note Memory Books help with the passing of a loved one, or could help with memory loss in elderly relatives, the rites of passage in a young persons life, even helping with the trials and tribulations of the dreaded menopause!!!!! It makes the healing process a little easier      The workshops are one-to-one and held in my small house in Torrox Pueblo, usually in the mornings for up to 3 hours.   The cost is 15 Euros plus materials and as much tea/coffee and biscuits and laughter as needed.
